Death Valley (II)
Mazi was standing outside the door of one of the passenger trailers located just behind his own in the caravan.
*Gu gu!*
*Gu gu gu!*
He proceeded to knock on the metallic door so gently and so delicately it was as if he was afraid that his big knuckles would destroy it if he was not careful.
The knock itself was a code specially choreographed so that the occupant knew that it was him who was asking for an audience.
After a few seconds of waiting patiently, the response from the inside finally came and Mazi sucked in a cold breath before trotting inside.
"Captain..."
"Your Highness," Mazi responded promptly as he quickly bowed his head.
The person who had greeted him was a young girl who was sitting with her back facing the door.
The girl had a small frame and long pitch-black hair that reached down to the small of her back.
