Flying high up in the skies atop his mount, Alek was nervous and worried.

Although Mazi had decided that they soldier on into the Death Valley, he was still of the opinion that they should've waited a bit longer to gather more information.

Diving head-first into danger without carefully analyzing the situation first had never been the captain's style. Alek could not help but wonder if his trip to the mysterious trailer had influenced his decision in any way.

Nevertheless, this was all spilled milk. There was no use pondering about it now.

As the caravan progressed on smoothly without even encountering one hitch, Alek wondered if he had been wrong after all.

However, he immediately scrubbed that notion away.

Just because everything appeared to be fine on the surface did not necessarily mean that was actually the case behind the scenes.
