Somehow the question she asked caused his gaze at her to deepened. But it was at the infantry stage as he began pouring the drink.

" What makes you think I want something? " He asked with his face down, focused on the cups as he poured.

" Well, " Aurora looked around the house for the first time, " you brought me into your house. "

Damien got all triggered, " I didn't FORCE you here, you could have chose to stay behind. "

Aurora flinched, " you didn't force me, you ordered me. "

" What's wrong with that? " Damien was used to giving orders, and saw nothing wrong with it.

Aurora was taken aback by his response and jumped to her feet.

" SIT. " Damien launched out a still voice, filled with authority and power again.

Aurora fell back to the chair and took her gaze away from him.

" Now, " Damien stretched and dropped the bottle of wine on his rotating table.

" Wright Lockwood.... " He turned over to her and laced his stern looks at her. His aim was to study her resolve, to understand her replies better.

Surely atra inside his brig was still a top priority for him, but he could question him the next day. Ava on the other hand wasn't going to be there for long, she may leave that same night. He had already gotten physically entangled with her, it was no holds barred.

Aurora was not sure why Hendris was asking of her father's name.

" How did you know my father? "

" Answer the questions I ask you. " He firmly said.

" Why? "

Damien's brows raised, " Because I said so. "

Aurora strained her eyes as she thought for a while. If she placed everything together, she would find out that his character before she got to see him physically matched. He appeared as an authoritative and stoic person.

She wanted to double-check if she was indeed in trouble. He sounded so firm, what if she didn't answer his questions? would he take a dark turn with her?

" What happened to Wright? "

Not only did aurora not want to talk about her father, she didn't know much about him. After all, she was the kid that was hidden for reasons she didn't know. And she couldn't tell hendris that.

" I'm talking to you. " He brought her back.

" Did you not hear that he died? " Her voice was frail, the sound of fear and anxiety was evident in it.

Damien sensed it. Somehow, he wanted her to know that he wasn't going to her harm. At least not yet.

" You're not going to end up like atra. " He told her.

" Why did you shoot him? why do you have a gun? " She turned and had a closer look at him, " who is the real you? "

Damien found her last question a tad suspicious. He didn't want to be the one to break the news of her mother's brutal killing to her, he couldn't deal with what the reveal would cause. He preferred she found the scene by herself.

Then, like he expected, she would find her way back to him and they would have a conversation about it. Then, she had already displayed whatever view of grief she did, without his presence.

" What did you know about your father? " Damien asked.

So he just ignored her question, aurora thought. " Do you belong to my father's dynasty? Are you a lock? " She looked at him deep in the eyes.

Damien didn't want her looking into his eyes, he turned them away and edged his head to the linear direction.

" So you are aware of your father's standings? "

" I don't know how many people he killed, who killed him or how much he had, if that's what you wanna ask. He barely came home. "

Damien could sense the epitome of emotional hold in her voice. She was telling the truth, based on his experience.

Right at that instance he thought of what to do, and he got it. He would let her do the discovery herself, he didn't want to help her, that wasn't his job. He was yet to know who were the men that invaded her house and killed her mother.

While she was out discovering her mother's dead body and the reality that he saved her from a definite death attempt, he would be questioning his prisoner. Within a short time, she would be back to him, begging and eager to find out the truth. By that time, he'd already milked atra and gotten the information he wanted.

All he'd had to do after knowing the bloodline or dynasty crew behind the execution, was take his mission to the next level. His puzzle would be half done. And the best part was that, he had the main prize and target under his watch, he had Ava Lockwood. Of course, there was also the possibility that a minority gang was behind it.

He'd always suspected that there was more to the lockwood family than what the public knew. According to what he discovers from atra, he may have to make watching ava more priority. She may be his ticket into discovering where the rust is.

Damien stretched forth the glass cup in the right hand.

" Here. "

Aurora was hesitant, Damien knew why. He took the glass to his mouth and drank a little portion from it.

" You can drink. " That was his form of assurance to her.

Was it a bad decision from her part that she took the cup and gulped down the entire contents in one drink? of course it was. Considering the fact that she'd only drank alcohol four times in her life and was extremely a light head.

Damien saw how her entire body shook as she swallowed the glass contents. He watched her, her head didn't properly swerve to its normal position. Her eyeballs had begun swinging up, down left, right and center.

He should have known, that was when the slight thought came that he may have made a mistake to give her alcohol.

" Who.... who is the real you? " It wasn't long after the question came from aurora, she was already drunk.

Damien was hearing the question for the second time again. It made his curiosity grow.

" And what do you mean by the real you? " He asked.

Aurora immediately leaned close to him with a speed that startled Damien. She launched her head further into his face, almost merging and stared straight into his eyes.

Damien was frozen. Her face stabbed him so close that he felt as though he was already bleeding. He in turn, immediately looked away.

Aurora chuckled and returned to her former position. She still gave him a funny look, while occasionally shaking her head.

Damien was getting premium uncomfortability.

" Why are you laughing? what is funny? "

She released a wide beam,

" You are a liar Hendris.... I think you like me. "

Damien felt his chest tear.
