CHAPTER - 3 { Liar }

Busho raised his head up-high, to look at the tall young man's face.

'So tall!'

He couldn't help taking a dry swallow, thinking about the man's genetics for such a tall and strong body.

'And that hammer. It's even bigger than me!'

Thor lowered Mjolnir and stared at Busho, observing his every facial change and visible emotion.

His dark eyes and greenish-yellow pupils sent chills in Busho's spines. Blast scratched his chin and gave a smile.

"Meet Thor, Busho."

"Ah, yes! Very pleased to meet you, Thor!"

Thor eyed the hand offered to him, he then shook hands and greeted the man back.

The Hero Association Headquarter building was really advanced, and had futuristic devices.

Though the inside felt more like a bunker in the ground than an actual building on the ground.

Even the fresh air was circulated through ducts and pipes instead of windows.

"It's very impressive."

Thor commented in a low voice. Busho nodded in agreement and led the two towards the upper floors.

"Thor, how strong are you?"

When the three were in an elevator, Blast asked with a serious expression on his face wanting answers.

"I don't know."

Thor replied with a straight face. Both Blast and Busho were very sharp to know that he wasn't lying.

'I will have to test him so we can estimate his strength. It shouldn't be below A rank for sure.'

Blast had already made up his mind to pull Thor in the Hero Association and give him a rank in the hero list.

Monsters are increasing and humans need more heroes.

I was contemplating what Blast asked just now and found that I didn't know much of my own strength.

Even with the memories of this body, which were quite blurry and uncertain, Thor never showcased his true power.

But since Thor was a god, he had to be powerful enough to wipe out all the humans single handedly.

As for Saitama, who should be still training to become stronger, I could only hope.

Well, seeing how Blast was inviting me to join the Hero Association. I didn't want to ignore the fact that it was kind of interesting.

How many monsters are even there who could kill me? One? Two?

When I was a normal human, I had to fear hundreds of things like diseases, epidemics, unexpected death, etc.

Now with a god's body and mind, most of those things had been crossed off and only a few remained.

I have read many novels and fan fiction, where the main character fears to be at the center or spotlight. All because at the end stood death.

I have no such thoughts!

If I have to live in this world forever, I might as well live with all my desires.

Soon the elevator came to a stop. Led by Busho we entered a spacious room with many beautiful pieces of furniture.

"Looking at you I believe you don't have a place to stay. This is one of the best rooms we have in the headquarters, please stay here."

Indeed, I had no place to stay. I nodded and thanked Busho for the kind generosity.

"Blast, do you have a moment?"

Busho said in a quiet voice. Blast raised his eyebrow and went to the side to discuss with him.

I only glanced at them before my eyes shifted towards the television on the wall. It was 60 inches long and 36 inches in height.

I picked up the remote on the table and pressed the red button on the top of the remote, switching the television on.

The home screen showed various apps and news channels. There were multiple games already downloaded.

The experience of playing games on this big screen can't be measured in words.

Just when I was beginning to press other buttons and learn how to use the remote to navigate through those games, Blast called me out.

"Thor, there's something we have to talk about."

"Is it about my history?"

"Yes…"

Accurate guess. I maintained a neutral look on my face and sat down on the sofa. It was soft and bouncy, made from expressive materials.

After we each settled down. I took in a breath and opened my mouth.

"I was rejected from my world. No one wanted me because of how I was. So I found a place to seal myself and go into slumber."

"But due to some strange phenomena, the seals were lifted and when I was still in my 'sleep', I fell from my world."

"The first thing I saw was a clear blue sky. Few seconds later I crashed on the ground. My hammer followed me here."

"You must be suspicious about me, but I have no reason or objective to lie to you humans."

Wooh! What a big fat liar I was!

Unfortunately for them, they had nothing against me to prove me wrong.

"If that's the case then you…"

Busho was stunned by what he heard. Another world? Came here as a mistake?

Blast on the other hand, didn't care about the man's history much. As long as he wasn't an enemy, he was a friend.

But what could cause this man to travel from one world to another? Was it a dimensional rift? Or a gap in space?

'This needs further investigation'

Both had different thoughts in their minds. As times passed, they accepted the story and immediately digested it completely.

"So, what do you really want to do? Do you want to go back to your world?"

Blast asked. Thor seemed to be in a hesitant mood when the question came out.

"I, I don't think I will be welcomed there."

He answered honestly. Busho silently elbowed Blast and gave a side-eye. It was the signal they prepared in case.

"Em. Busho, what do you think about it?"

Blast did a fake cough and pushed the mic to Busho, who was well prepared to perform his act.

"Sir Thor, this world has no less wonders than your world I can say. Actually, I have to welcome you to this world appropriately again."

"We will accept your presence. We can start with this very room as a connection, the beginning of our bond."

I was on the verge of crying. Such words, even my own mother failed me today. So much love and praise.

On the surface I lowered my head to hide any leaks in my emotions. Inhaling heavily, I signed and raised my head.

I watched the two men seated across me. They had bright looks and were waiting for me to speak.

"Blast. The offer. Is it still there?"

Hearing this, Busho gave thumbs up to Blast secretly. Their words entered the man's ears and made him happy.

Everyone would profit from this deal.

"Of course. Busho will do all the paperwork for you since you might not be familiar with those. Thor, we will need to evaluate your rank."

"Okay."

Blast and Busho left the room soon after. I was left alone, for which I was grateful. I left Mjolnir on the ground floor.

Who could steal it anyways? The weight of Mjolnir was no joke. Unlike in movies how only those worthy could lift it, here it was different and more real.

Strength was the answer. Mjolnir was heavy and powerful, that was it. No magic restricting strong people from lifting it up.

"They said tomorrow they will do a test to rank me. I wonder if the written test is included? My knowledge is limited in this world."
