Chapter Two: The Eyes Of Endless
Everyone had there eyes on me. Did I do something wrong? many questions rolled through my mind as slowly made my way into the inn. Although they glared at me, I didn't let it bother me for too long.
The inn seemed to well decorated with expensive accessories on the wall for display or probably to attract people to there establishment. Whatever the case was, the inn was well kept and it had a bar with a female bartender at the counter taking account of everyone's drinks and orders. It seemed like a hard job for one person as they the inn was pretty busy. What way to spend my new found money than to have some food with some alcohol. I made my way to the counter where the bartender was staring at me deeply. She had long brown hair, dark brown eyes with an "luring" body. I took my seat and looked at the menu for possible orders.
As I was scoping through the menu, the bartender waved at me in hopes to get my attention. Quite the the attraction you're getting, she said. I'm afraid I don't what you mean. The bartender smirked and glances at everyone at the inn and looked back at me, everyone in the inn is glaring at you. I've noticed everyone had there eyes on me since I entered the inn but for what reason? The bartender seemed puzzled and confused. What, you really don't know? Those eyes of yours is what is captivating the people here. Normally you would only hear about it on story books. Hear about what in story books? Leaning towards her curiously. Pitch dark eyes that resembles that of the darkness. When i was a child my mother read me bedtime stories about it. That eye of yours holds powers that you cannot even imagine but, that is what makes it a bad omen. As the power is unknown to everyone who does not wield it. Of course its just a story and its probably not true like most stories but still, people are still cautious about it. The words of the bartender interest me as somehow in this world my eyes could have possibly hold some sort of power. Though unbelievable it still struck my curiosity.
After having a long conversation with the bartender and ordering my food, I bought a room and immediately went to lay down. Trying to recap everything that has happened within the span of just one day. Today was truly filled with new events and new opportunities here in this new world. Soon after my eyes started to get heavy until it completely closes shut. After a few hours of sleep, randomly during the middle of the night I awoke from a sharp pain coming from my eyes. It felt like sharp needles continuously tapping the surface of my eyes. What was this pain and why was it happening. Seconds pasts and the ridiculous amount of pain vanished completely, what was that? "bling" randomly a blue colored screen popped up in front of me. Shocked by the sudden appearance of the screen I jumped off of my bed slamming my head on the ground. After getting up, I rubbed my eyes and blinked a couple of time to make sure I was not dreaming. It did not appear to be dream. I then began to focus on what displayed on the screen, it was showing information about myself but also stats and skills? Curious, I looked at stats to see it displayed things like Strength, Agility, Speed, Defence, Endurance, Mana and Perception. I folded my arms as questioned what I was seeing then remember that the bartender did say the eyes contained mysterious power but I didn't think it would have been true.
All my stats were pretty much ranged from fifth-teen to twenty excluding one particular stat. For some reason Perception was set at max, was it because of my eyes? I mean, the whole reason I'm seeing this screen is because of said eyes. I then took a look at my skills. Marked all red the following was stated "Due to having The Eyes of Endless you have a unique set of skills." Unique set of skills?? I continued reading the following skills:
Max Perception: Having the Eye of Endless you are capable of seeing things to molecular level and can see the very fabric of mana allowing you to both control and read spells, skills and mana itself at an unbelievable extent.
Foresight: You can see to future to a certain degree. This can help you at seeing your opponents movements that would take place moments in the future. (can be leveled up to enhance its power)
Mind Reading: You are capable of reading minds as long as you have mana.(can be leveled up to enhance its power)
Swoop: Having this ability allows you to see someone else's stats, information and abilities.
Further skills will be added as the you get more powerful...
Isn't these skills a little over powered?? stunned by the skills I had I jumped back into my bed. With a smile on my face I began thinking of what this world really was. Not only monsters but mana and skills? my face began to light up from the excitement. My smile soon turned to a devious smirk as I muttered these words, This world.... will be at my fingertips.
