We need to go

"Hey guys!" Brett yelled, running over to the threesome as they walked into the park. Camilia smiled as she saw her, watching her brother scan the surroundings for anyone suspicious. Camilia followed suit, searching for her stalker. She didn't see anyone. The only people in the park this early were the older couples that were walking and the cross country team doing some weekend training.

Ryan put his hand on her shoulder, "It looks good here, be careful. Alright?" He looked at her, his concern filling the air. Camilia nodded, passing the ball to Brett so she could hug Ryan.

"I'll see you soon." Ryan murmured, rubbing her back. Camilia let go, smiling at him. She wished she could do more to keep him from worrying, but there was nothing she could do to make this situation better. Then Ryan looked at Kyle, Kyle nodded at him, the bat still in his hand. Ryan nodded back, then turned, waving as he walked away.

Brett tilted his head, "I don't remember him being so protective." He dribbled the ball in place, looking at Kyle and Camilia for some type of explanation.

Kyle shrugged, walking towards the court, "Times change." He said, throwing his voice over his shoulder. Brett gave a disbelieving chuckle, jogging to catch up to Kyle. Camilia allowed herself a smile, following after them.

They made it to the court, Kyle put his bat on the grass next to it, Brett looked at it, but didn't give it any remarks. Kyle looked at them, "I'm going to run to the bathroom, you guys can start warming up."

Camilia nodded while Brett gave him a sloppy salute. Kyle shook his head then jogged away.

Brett passed Camilia the ball, "What's going on?" He asked, running next to her as she started dribbling up and down the court.

Camilia shrugged, "Nothing really." She said, not wanting anyone else to know about her stalker, the less people knew, the less drama there would be. She would make sure someone who knew was always with her, but she didn't need to spread that information too far.

Brett scoffed, "I know something's going on. You walked here with your brother and Kyle. Plus, Kyle brought his bat, which means, he's expecting trouble. That trouble's about you, isn't it?"

Camilia gave him a bitter smile, "I forget how smart you are sometimes." She shot the basketball, smiling as it bounced in. "Yeah, we think there's someone following me." She passed the ball to Brett, watching as he let it roll on the ground his eyes trained behind her.

Camilia froze. Heart thumping. She heard panting, growling. She turned, blood in her ears. Wolves. Two large wolves. Two ginormous, snarling wolves. Behind then hung the moon. It was still bright, enchanting. Full.

What do you think of werewolves?

"Brett, run." She turned, grabbing Kyle's bat and sprinting away, catching up to Brett who had slowed to let her in front "Don't slow down." Camilia panted, glancing over her shoulder.

Running, no loping. The wolves were loping after them. Grinning, their snouts seemed to be grinning as they did. Fast, they were fast. Their loping eating up the distance between them. Camilia turned and closed her eyes, willing her legs to move faster.

Camilia hid her scream as she felt a shape rush by her. The blur of black jumped onto Brett's back, pinning him to the ground. Camilia felt her legs turn to jelly underneath her, she ran at the wolf, swinging her bat at the head.

The second wolf stepped in front of her, taking the brunt of the bat. Camilia hesitated as she saw the pain in the animal's eyes, the human pain. Then Camilia swung again, hoping to hit the wolf again. The wolf snarled, leaping at her. She gasped as its body hit her, making her fall to the ground. Camilia kneed the wolf in its stomach, starting to breath faster as the wolf's legs pinned her to the ground. The hint of humanity in the wolf disappeared and the wolf bit into her shoulder, lifting her back off the ground. Camilia felt her shoulder crack, the bones splintering under the force of the werewolf's bite. Camilia yelled, feeling as though she was being devoured by fire.

Then Camilia was on the ground, unable to sucking in air as the pain tore through her. The wolf stood above her, holding her shoulder in its jaws. Camilia started gasping, trying to get some air. She could feel her veins, pain rushing through them. The moon above her grew brighter, growing to cover her vision, as she blacked out, the scar on the wolf's left eye was the last thing she saw.

Neil straightened his vest, walking next to Declan, he looked at the bracelets on his wrists, 7 different rope colors and designs. "Do you think she'll help us?" He asked, looking at the tree ahead of them. There was a house in it, about thirty feet up.

Declan shrugged, "I'm not sure. But she's the only one that can. We can't have phones, and she's the only gremlin on campus." Neil nodded, looking at the phone number in his pocket. He wanted to see Camilia again, he wanted to play basketball with Kyle again. He hadn't interacted with humans in so long, it was something he had missed. The only way to see them again was to use this phone number. And to do that he needed a gremlin. He felt his heart start to beat faster as he started to climb the tree. The owner would now know he was there. If she didn't want him he probably only had a few more seconds with all his working limbs. The tree he was climbing had no handholds and Neil had to morph his nails into claws to climb. He grunted as he pulled himself hand over hand, each step making falling a bigger risk.

Neil looked at the moon above his head, "Oh Luna, please keep this lunatic from killing me." He said, hearing Declan giving his own little prayer below him.

Neil flinched as an acorn fell from above him, narrowly missing his head. Neil gulped as he saw the red dot on the side, the acron landed on the ground, exploding into gas as it did.

As Neil sniffed the air he felt his gut drop, he hated this gas. The owner of this tree had made it, it forced those who breathed it into being honest. Luckily, he was too high up the tree for that. He hoped Declan was clear as well.

"I'm going to kill her." Neil grumbled, finally gripping the rung that led into her house.

Neil pulled himself up, morphing his claws back into hands.

"What are you doing here Neil?" A hostile voice asked.

Neil sighed, turning to see the owner of the tree, her silver hair stuck up at odd angles, accented by her long sharp ears. She had her wings folded at her side, her arms crossed so he could see her grey claws.

"Hi Sheela." Neil said, crouching so he could give his hand to Declan. He looked back at the gremlin in front of him, her gold eyes trapping his.

"Nice to see you without your fur." Sheela said, pulling a wrench from her pocket.

"Nice to see you without your tail." Neil replied, wishing there was a different gremlin he could talk to, Declan nudged him, giving him a knowing stare.

Neil sighed, "I need to make a phone call." He said, reminding himself this was so he could play Kyle and Brett again.

Sheela laughed, "Did you get a girlfriend at the game?" She asked, twirling the wrench on her finger.

Neil suppressed a growl, stubbornly forcing Camilia out of his head, "No, I'm trying to set up another game." He forced out, trying to keep his claws from emerging.

Sheela smirked, "If you say so. You'll have to do something for me." Neil sighed, dreading what the favor would be. What could the school delinquent want?

Declan nudged him, Neil frowned, "Fine. What do you want?"

Sheela relaxed, moving into her house, "It'd be a shame to ruin the surprise." She walked into her house and gestured for the boys to follow her.

Neil followed after Declan, holding in a snicker as he saw the mess she called home. There were wires and lights everywhere, an old computer monitor next to a gutted computer.

Neil went to touch the monitor, hissing as his fingers got burned.

Sheela laughed, "These all have silver in them. So I'll have to put you on speaker." She walked to a counter and grabbed a small rectangle, a phone. She turned it on, pressing some numbers and it opened up. Then she walked to a circle platform, there was a plug-in next to it and Sheela put the phone in it. Then she looked at him, "You have the phone number, right?"

Neil nodded, handing her the paper in his pocket. She took it, typing the numbers into the phone. The circle lit up, images starting to be formed.

"What is this?" Neil asked, this wasn't like any phone call he had seen his father make.

Sheela laughed, "You wouldn't understand. Think of it like a video chat. When he picks up, we'll see him and his surroundings here." She nodded to herself as the light flicked green.

"Hello? This is Kyle." Neil jumped as Kyle's form appeared, a see through blue that showed him walking through a park.

"Hi. This is Neil." Neil said, watching Sheela hide her laughter. Neil shook his head, forcing his voice to be more casual. He didn't want Kyle to know this was his first phone call.

Kyle smiled, his phone to his ear, "Hey! It's great to hear from you!"

Neil laughed, wondering if Kyle could see him, "Yeah, sorry I couldn't give you my number yesterday."

Kyle smiled, "No biggy, I'm training with Brett and Camilia right now, I'll go tell them you're here!" Neil smiled, excited he could see the three of them again. He hadn't thought Kyle would be with them.

Kyle walked to a basketball court and paused, there was no one there. Neil frowned as concern entered his face, he put his hand over the phone, "Camilia! Brett, where are you guys?"

Kyle started to stare, searching the park. Neil began to pace, wondering why Kyle was so concerned. Neil felt Declan nudge him, pointing at the holographic ground.

Neil froze, his eyes stuck on a wolf print. He looked at Declan, urgency filling him, "We have to go."
