Chapter 3

At the mansion's library

After the whole episode, Roy finally finds himself alone.

Alfred, the head butler of Conner's family, had to leave because of an emergency.

Something about his father—*cough* I mean, the original's father, who was unable to be in contact at the moment.

Together with the information that was revealed by Samuel (the traitor), it's not difficult to guess that some accidents happen.

This confused Roy, as he was caught in a dilemma of not knowing how to react.

I mean, yes, he had the original's memories, feelings, body, identity, etc., but in the end,, he's not the real Roy, and that guy isn't his real father.

Sighing in pain, Roy felt that things had become more complicated and decided to think about it later.

Right now, he has something more important to do.

"Status!"

Calling out the "gamer's interface' and checking it.

The previous level 2 became level 4.

His wisdom also increased from 13 to 14.

Luck increased from 10 to 13, which is not bad. Although he didn't know the average luck attributes of normal people, knowing that you've become lucky still felt good.

There's also a skill book from the reward earlier, which is called 'Iron Boxing'.

According to the description, it is a set of martial arts that prioritizes simplicity.

The name is kind of bland, though, compared to those Chinese novels' martial arts techniques. I mean, who doesn't like the 'dragon fist of the thunder tiger'?

Anyway, iron boxing was composed of three kinds of attacks: the iron punch, the iron kick, and the iron headbutt. Simple, as the description said, but very practical in his opinion.

Nodding his head, Roy, without wasting time any further, clicked the 'Learn' button and immediately felt a surging energy spreading through his body.

'Due to a specific action, a new skill has been created'

[Iron Punch (Active) lv 1

Concentrating one's energy on the fist to generate enough force to scrape iron upon release

'Due to a certain action, a new skill has been created.'

[Iron Kick (Active) lv 1

Concentrating one's energy on the legs and feet to generate enough force to scrape iron upon release.]

'Due to a certain action, a new skill has been created.'

[Iron Headbutt (Active) lv 1

Concentrating one's energy on the head to generate enough force to scrape iron upon release.]

'Due to the consecutive learning of skills of the same essence and origin, a certain condition has been met. Do you want to fuse 'Iron Punch', 'Iron Kick' and 'Iron Headbutt' to create a new skill - 'Iron Boxing'? '

"Yes!" Roy immediately clicked 'yes'.

"Congratulations. A new skill has been created.'

[Iron Boxing (Active) LV 1

Allow the user to concentrate physical energy to any part of the body to generate force enough to crush iron upon release.

Skill Effects: + 5 END, +5 STR, + 5 VIT.  ]

"Wow, so many additional stats?" Roy's eyes lit up seeing the additional stats, and he immediately opened his status panel.

Basic attributes didn't change at all, but besides the END, STR, and VIT, there is an additional (+5).

Nodding his head, Roy decided to try the newly learned skill.

*BOOM*

The ground vibrated upon impact, and a noticeable dent appeared on the iron table before him.

"So strong?" Roy's eyes widened and he felt excited.

If he was in the previous world, no doubt he was already the strongest human.

Unfortunately, he wasn't.

Anyway, after trying the skill several more times, he then turned his attention to the remaining '10' status points that he got from the two consecutive level ups.

He can allocate it to INT like before, but after thinking a bit more, he decided to keep it for the time being.

He sees no other reason for spending it immediately.

What's more, he can increase his INT through reading and other intellectual activities.

Turning his head outside, he finds that the sky has already darkened, but Roy has no plans on resting anytime soon.

[Gamer's Body] gave him almost limitless stamina, while [Gamer's Mind] blessed him with a perfect state of mind at all times.

Together, they were like a machine that could never be worn out.

"A quest has been created'

[Tittle; The sleepless Gamer!

Description; The gamer who sleeps isn't a gamer. Spend 24 hours in the game without sleeping.

Remaining Time: (11/24)

Rewards; 500 EXP, Title; 'Noob' (with capital 'N'), Skill Creation: 'Gem'.]

'This is? ' Seeing the last reward, 'Skill creation gem', Roy was curious.

In the novel, there are only three ways for the 'Gamer' to learn skills, one is to create them yourself, the other is through [Skill Books] and the last is to learn them from others.

The Skill Creation Gem, an item that can create skills, is something that he had never heard of.. Perhaps his 'Gamer' system is a bit different from the one in the original book?

Shrugging, Roy clicks the 'x' button on the upper right corner of the box and then finally turns his eyes on the books above the table.

- - -

In the mansion's library.

Books of various subjects can be seen scattered on the ground, and a certain young man could be seen flipping books at a speed that makes the passing servants speechless.

The young man was, of course, Roy.

Putting down the book in his hand, he was about to grab the next one when he realized that there was nothing left on the batch that he had just taken.

Roy was surprised to find that it was already morning.

Opening the 'notification' tab, he saw that the 'Sleepless Gamer' quest had already been completed an hour ago.

His level has also gone up by one. The remaining status points become '15', the INT increases from 18 to 43, and his MP becomes 530 from 280.

Other skills, such as reading and mathematics, have gone up to 'level 8' and level '9'.

During his grinding, he has also unknowingly created several new skills, such as;

[Geography (Passive) lv 4]

[History (Passive) lv 3]

[Physics (Passive) lv 4]

[Cooking (Active) lv 2]

[Navigation (Passive) lv 1]

[Gardening (Passive) lv 1]

[Medicine (Passive) lv 1]

-

Looking at the description of the skills above, Roy found that each one of them is ordinary, and then he finally turned his attention to the reward that he had gotten after completing Quest; Sleepless Gamer.

500 EXP, needless to say.

New Title: 'Noob'.. Unlike the 'noob' before, the 'N' is now a capital letter.

After equipping it, he had also gained additional attribute points and perks, such as:

[+10 Luck, + 2 Wisdom, + 5 INT.]

[+ 30% probability of being ignored by people whose level is 10+ higher than yours.]

"Well, although the title is a bit insulting, the effect isn't bad." Roy commented, and then finally took out the last item from the inventory.

Activating 'Observe', a series of information flashes before the eyes.

[Skill Creation Gem (Item Rank: ???)

A gem created from void energy, allowing the user to create a skill 'he' or 'she' had in mind.]

"Wow." Roy had bright eyes and immediately used the gem to create a skill he had in mind.

The whole creation, reminds him of 'Nen' from the HxH world.

It was a cumbersome process, as he had to imagine the entire layout of the skill. If he wanted, he could also add some conditions for activation and place some restrictions to further increase the potency and power of the ability.

While studying the method of "skill creation', Roy tried to build a layout for various skills he had in mind and found that some worked and some did not.

Skills that are very OP and complicated, such as; omni-skills, reality warping, etc., are unable to be created due to the limited void energy of the gem.

While skills and superpowers such as; flight, elemental manipulation, transmutation, healing, telekinesis, teleportation, etc., can be created at will.

There are many more skills that he can create, and each one of them has good potential, in his opinion, but he finally settled on something that he found to suit him the most.

"Skill Creation Gem is activated.."

"Skill creation is progressing; 1%... 23%... 65%..."

"Skill Creation Completed."

'Congratulations, a new skill has been created.'

[Real Clone (Active)] LV MAX

Allow the user to create a physical clone by consuming MP. The clone can be controlled remotely or independently, according to the user.

Restrictions;

*The 'skill: Real Clone' cannot be leveled up.

*The "clone" created can't be leveled up.

*The "clone" created can only have 1/10th the strength of the original.

*The "clone" created cannot access 'The Gamer'.

Conditions;

*The clone consumes +500 MP to be conjured.

*Each clone consumes 50 MP per minute to maintain its existence.

*The clone must eat three times a day to maintain its existence.

*The clone must drink eight glasses of water to maintain its existence.

*If one of the following conditions fails to execute, the clone will die in the most gruesome way, making the user experience the "pain" it has gone through.]

Before he knew it, three hours had passed during the entire creation of the skill.

Looking at the information panel before him, Roy let out an excited laugh.

The skill was automatically considered "max" by the system because of the restriction he put on it.

As for clones having a limitation that they can only have one tenth of their power, Roy didn't mind it, as he deliberately did it, as in his mind, the whole function of the clones isn't for fighting but for some logistical and miscellaneous stuff such as intelligence gathering, researching, management, manufacturing, etc.

He had also deliberately created a very harsh condition on the clone that would make him experience the "pain" of the clone's death, as he knew he had a [Gamer's Mind] and [Gamer's Body] to nullify all the negative effects.

End.
