Great Treasure Trove!

Nouva ran over the rewards he would receive if he were to complete the quest. Seeing the quest rewards, he began to wonder about other things.

"System. Is it possible to receive Devil Fruit for quest rewards?" Nouva was curious about this.

Right then, he saw a line of words stating that he would not. 

"...."

Nouva was speechless, but it was understandable. This was probably to encourage him to steal other's abilities. 

The Iron Men cleaned up the pathway of blood and any signs of struggle. Nouva sighed, he had just come to this world and killed someone. To top it off, he didn't hesitate when making this decision.

Nouva checked the quest progress. 

-Quest: Destroy the Wild Boar Pirates! [5/12]

"I should go check the treasure first before dealing with them." After some consideration, Nouva ultimately decided to check the treasure out first. 

The Iron Men began to fuse and recreate its standard form. Afterward, Nouva took flight and followed the map's instructions.

Nouva also learned that he was on an Island called Fianna. This Island was located in the North Blue, where Nouva was.

"Of all the seas, I ended up in the most dangerous one." Nouva's eyebrows crinkled, but he believed this was a good thing.

On his way, Nouva discovered a water stream containing fresh water. He could see schools of fish in the stream.

"Perfect! Let's map this location down." Nouva smiled before continuing on his way.

He flew for a while until a large mountain came into his vision. The mountain was massive, but there wasn't anything interesting about it. 

"This mountain is where the treasure is located according to the map." Nouva landed near the large crag thoughtfully.

"Where is the treasure, exactly?" He touched the mountain and asked the system to scan it.

Unfortunately, there was no response from the system.

"Oh, boy, this is going to be challenging." Nouva scratched his head in discontent.

He could only carefully study the map to find any clues. 

"These lines are drawn here but end with an X on this mountain. Could it be on top of the mountain?"

Nouva thought for a moment—when suddenly, an idea ensued him.

"That's right, I can sense all types of metals in my surroundings." With this thought in mind, Nouva sat down crosslegged and closed his eyes.

If there was some type of treasure, there was usually some type of metal involved.

Particularly, Gold!

So far, Nouva was only capable of creating and becoming Steel and Iron. However, this didn't mean he couldn't sense and manipulate gold or various metal elements. 

Steel came from Iron, so it all made sense to Nouva. In the future, he would be able to manipulate every element from the periodic table!

At this moment, It was like Nouva became one with the earth. His Will shot out and quickly detected several metal elements in the area.

"Hahaha! Gold! Once I get stronger, I'll naturally have the ability to create Gold, Copper, Bronze, and other elements."

It was already good enough that he could generate and become steel, which was already so strong. 

"This Devil Fruit is truly a blessing in this stage of my life." He stood up quickly, with a smile so wide that it looked like it hurt to maintain.

Nouva detected an abundant amount of gold and some treasure chests. He quickly pulled out some buttered bread buns to eat.

"I hate that I get hungry so quickly!" 

Afterward, Nouva created a steel drill before maneuvering it to drill through the mountain. He couldn't find a path, so Nouva could only make one.

Due to the loud drilling, he covered his ear during the process. This naturally caused the mountain to shake and pieces of rock to fall. 

Eventually, Nouva created a tunnel that led and connected to a pathway. 

"This must be the original pathway to the treasure room. If I follow this pathway, it should lead me to what I came here for."

The cascading light from Nouva created pathway was the only source of light. He walked down the pathway slowly—using his metal detection skill to guide him. 

Suddenly, he stopped on a switch on the floor.

Zip!~

Right then, a storm of arrows impaled Nouva's body.

"What the...goodness!" With widened eyes, a cold sweat drenched his back.

"If I wasn't a Logia user, I would have been killed for sure." Nouva pulled the arrows out and tossed them away. 

With caution, he kept exploring the tunnel. Nouva activated several deadly traps, such as one that could cut and several someone in two.

Blades that stabbed someone to death and even poisonous gases. Nouva had gotten through all of them.

"What the hell is with all of those traps?!" His face was twitching non-stop, was the guy who set these traps so crazy?

Nouva finally arrived at a large door made of steel.

Nouva used his ability to access the door hurriedly. He could sense the gold behind this door, so he was eager.

"Are you kidding me?!" The second Nouva stepped through the door, he met with another trap.

It was a pitfall trap with spikes layered at the bottom!

"Most people would die from these crazy killer snares." Nouva simply levitated and avoided the trap altogether.

Once again, he stepped on another switch on the floor upon landing. However, it wasn't a trap this time. Instead, some lights flickered on that lit up the room. 

The first thing that came into Nouva's view were several small mountains of Gold!

"Oh, my gosh! I'm frigging rich!" Running over, he used his hands to play with the gold coins.

His expression and eyes showed greed and joy.

There were even gold bars, jewels, diadems, and other valuable items. 

"How am I going to transport all of this treasure? I can't leave them here, this will probably be found by someone in the future."

He could transfer the gold elsewhere, but the gems couldn't be taken away. Nouva walked over the hills of gold before spotting another door. 

"I can sense some other metals inside of that door, but there's very little of it." This was where he sensed the treasure chest. 

Nouva didn't waste a moment and quickly forced the door open to have a look. The room had old bookshelves with a few books housing them. 

Gazing around the room, Nouva saw a bookshelf that carried several treasure chests on them as well. 

These weren't the first things he went for, but instead, Nouva checked the books. 

"These books have some age to them, there's dust everywhere here." Nouva grabbed a book and blew it, blowing away and kicking up a small dust cloud. 

"Wow, this is just a cookbook." Nouva was rendered speechless, but he decided to keep it anyway. 

He placed the book on a dusty table in the room. The floors were made of stone and concrete. 

Nouva rummaged through the other books but didn't find anything useful. That was when he encountered a book with a map inside.

Nouva inspected the map and found that it was a map of Paradise. It showed the many routes that could be taken and where they led.

"There are seven routes in Paradise, I can even see the route that Luffy took." Nouva was happy with this discovery—this was something that would come in handy later. 

"This book is useful as well." The book had information about the seven routes and the islands on these seven routes.

Nouva placed this book on the table as well. 

"The harvest is really good, but taking it away won't be easy. Those pirate will eventually notice their buddies are missing."

Nouva had a feeling that those pirates sent out were only scouts. They were probably set to report back at some point. 

"I shouldn't worry so much about this, but it could get annoying. I hope none of them have Haki, or I'll be in trouble."

Nouva levitated to check the top shelves, but he saw nothing but these chests. He grabbed all of these chests and placed them in one spot.

There were Fifteen chests here, but Nouva found that only one chest was unlocked. This chest swung open when he sat it on the floor.

Nouva opened it and found an odd crude manual and what appeared to be a watch.

"It's a Log Pose!" He said surprisingly, it was an important item. 

"This is the standard Log Pose, I'll have to upgrade it later to the New World version."

Nonetheless, he was satisfied with this find.

With a smile, Nouva checked the other chests—only to find that all of them were locked. 

"This was to be expected, I should try and open them." Nouva could make a key, but he needed to see the key to understand it.

It was similar to Mister 3, who had seen and even touched the key prior to its destruction. 

There were only three chests made of some type of metal material. Right then, the system words appeared in front of him.

[The system will open one chest for the host!]

"Really? Can you tell me what's inside these chests before I open them?" Nouva asked hopefully.

[Every chest here has a Devil Fruit in it!]

"What?!" Nouva was beyond shocked hearing this!

These Fourteen chests each had a Devil Fruit housing it?! Nouva's heart began to palpitate and speed up, he had never been so excited in his life. 

"System, can you open the most useful chest to me? If it's one of the chests made out of metal, don't open it." This was something Nouva could open himself, he didn't require anyone's help.

He checked the wooden chest material and found that they were made of Adams Wood. It was extremely hard and sturdy, there was no way to break it with these metals. 

[Searching...]

"It's actually going to help me?" Nouva smiled before sighing with relief. 

"Can you tell what type of fruits are in side, classification-wise?" He was curious about his findings.

[Loading results...]

Nouva stared at the screen intentively and waited. Afterward, the system showed him the results in the chest.
