First Contact!

The next day, Nouva got up and created a hole in the metal wall. He noticed that the sun was still on the horizon.

He had a front door, but when night came, Nouva used his ability to seal the house completely. 

He was technically living in a large iron cube with a triangular-shaped roof. He only left several small holes in the house for oxygen.

Nouva got out of bed—in which, he used his power to create a tongue scrapper. This was the best he could do to keep his breath fresh.

Of course, he rinsed his mouth out with water after using it.

"Hmm, I need to find some sort of water source." Nouva was now running out of water.

Once he found a stable water source, Nouva wanted to train in Rokushiki. However, he would probably need to train his body first. 

"I'm only Five, but this is okay, I can start off with some basic workouts." Nouva seemed to have thought of something, but it went right over his head yesterday.

His stats would naturally go up to meet the standards of his age. Say, an average adult man would have a certain amount of stats in strength, etc. 

Nouva stretched and enacted the idea he had thought of before falling asleep yesterday.

"If I can use the earth's magnetic field to help myself fly." Nouva also knew he could do this to others as well.

He tried this yesterday, and he was shocked to discover that he could sense the metal around him. The Magnetic fields and energy didn't escape his scope either.

At this moment, Nouva decided to just throw his last distribution point in [Will]. Within seconds, he found himself floating off the ground.

Nouva exerted force and soared. Much to his surprise, he was able to control this flying ability well.

"This will make covering this island and finding what needs to be found quicker." Nouva found that he wasn't suffering from any stamina drainage.

Perhaps, this was because he was using the power of the magnetic field. Naturally, he was elated; this would make things easier for him.

Nouva had initially thought of wearing metal armor and manipulating it. With that, he could manipulate the metal armor to help himself fly. 

However, this was taxing, and thus, consumed his stamina. 

Nouva continued to practice, stopping once to eat some buttered bread buns. His buttered bread was running low, he only had three buns left now. 

Nouva also discovered something about the system. There was a map that expanded itself for every place he explored.

He used this mapping system and marked his camp on it so he wouldn't lose it. Nouva naturally marked the beach he started on. 

He quickly grabbed his Revolver and placed it inside of the Golem.

"Let's explore the island and look for that water source." He soared again, but this time, Nouva manipulated the Golem to fly with him. 

Of course, he used the magnetic field to assist him in this.

"Hahaha!" Nouva laughed as he and his Golem flew through the sky.

What greeted his sight was an abundant forest of trees as far as he could see. Turning in another direction, Nouva could also see the sea from a distance.

"This is amazing, this is an experience I could never enjoy back on my earth." Nouva smiled as he continued onward. His map was being filled out as he flew over the forest.

At this time, he brought up his system map and marked the Red Deer Valley. It was marked as a hunting ground for food.

Unfortunately, those animals might not show up again after their last encounter with Nouva. He went to the starter beach for experimental purposes, or rather, to confirm something. 

"Let's see..." Nouva used the system to scan the water.

"I thought so." Confirming this much, Nouva took to the sky again and left.

"It seems I can read the description of things. Though the description wasn't much, it was good enough."

Nouva kept flying over the island's vast forest, but there were no signs of a freshwater source.

However, something stunning came into his sight. Nouva hurriedly flew down to the forest to avoid being seen. He along with his Golem landed quietly on the ground.

"There were people walking through this forest," Nouva controlled his Golem to hide behind a large tree. 

"Let's investigate, I didn't get a good look at these people." He knew one thing for certain, they were all men. 

Nouva quietly got closer until he could hear several clamorous voices. 

"Our Wild Boar pirates really struck it big this time." The tall muscular man laughed.

"Who knew that we'd find 2 treasure maps after destroying that pirate crew? There are hidden treasures on this island and they were on their way here."

The skinny scarred-faced man smiled, which revealed his teeth. Some teeth were missing while some were replaced with gold ones. 

"The other map shows that the treasure is located in Paradise. Captain said we'll head to Paradise after we obtain the treasure here."

Nouva listened to the group of men talk among themselves. He used his system to see if he could scan these men.

There were a total of Five of them.

These two men had the highest stats among the group of Five. These were also the two men who were talking the most as well. 

The system wrote that the lines with letters were the individual's potential. From what Nouva could see, these guys had no future.

Nouva found it funny that these guys wanted to travel to paradise. They wouldn't last 2 days in paradise!

Bellman was carrying a map in his hand, clearly, this was the treasure map.

Right as Nouva was thinking to himself, he saw a line of words appear in front of him.

Of course, Nouva accepted but this quest might not be easy. Not in a sense that he couldn't do it, but in a sense that they might run away.

"So I need to kill these pirates to earn these rewards?" Nouva just heard them gloating about destroying another pirate group.

"I didn't know I could get quests, this will be a good way to earn stats." Honestly, he didn't need to be merciful to any of these pirates.

Nouva stepped back and went over to his Golem. The Revolver floated out of its body and flew near him.

Afterward, he created several harpoons and even gave one to the Golem.

Nouva wasn't worried because he was a Logia user, so their attacks were useless. He was confident that none of these pirates had Haki.

The Golem took a harpoon after Nouva had left for another location. Afterward, the Golem stepped out of the forest behind the group.

Swoosh~

In the next moment, that very harpoon was beamed at one of the pirates.

"Ahhhh!"

One of the pirates let out a miserable scream as the harpoon pierced his back.

The pirate fell to the ground with a shocked expression, as he held the harpoon protruding out of his chest. 

"An ambush, who dares?!" The pirates roared in fury and drew their swords.

That's when saw the strange disfigured being that caused them to feel a sense of horror.

"W-what is that?" Right as one of the men asked this, the harpoon flew out of the dead pirate's body.

"Watch out!" Unfortunately, the pirate couldn't dodge and was run through by the harpoon!

The man didn't even scream. He just had a look of shock on his face before falling to the ground despondent.

His eyes were wide open—as if he was trying to figure out why the harpoon had moved on its own.

"Shoot it!" Another man quickly pulled out a gun and started shooting the Golem.

Bang!!

Several quick shots sprung with a flash of sparks.

The bullets penetrated the Golem, filling it with circular holes.

The bullets were no joke and were able to damage the Golem. This was probably because the Golem was a beginner creation of Nouva.

"Hehe, it really worked. I wonder what this thing is? We should bring it back and report, someone may be here creating these things."

Bellman frowned when thought ensued him. This could possibly interfere with them getting their treasures. 

"What's going on?!" Bellman's brother, Bellis, looked at the Golem in surprise.

"It's reconstructing itself, no, its fallen body parts are creating more of them!" The Golem's fallen body parts formed new entities and each of them stood at 175cm.

There were a total of Four of them. Swords and spears form in these Golem's hands.

"Damn, they're blocking our escape route!"

"Shoot them again!" Right as the pirate shot his gun, the bullet froze mid-flight before darting back at him.

"No!" The bullet seemed to have a mind of its own, so dodging wouldn't be easy. In an instant, the pirate was struck in the forehead.

The pirate's eyes widened and he dropped to the ground, he couldn't be any deader. The two brothers didn't have time to feel shocked.

The 'Iron Men' were already rushing toward them with swords and spears.

"Damn it, ready up!" Bellman placed the map in his coat jacket before pulling out his curved sword.

Both brothers engaged the Iron Men in combat. Metallic clanks wrung out as both their weapons clashed.

Nouva watched, but ending this fight was the main thing on his mind. He was already a bit exhausted from doing so much. 

"I have some energy to mess around a bit more." Nouva stretched out his hand and manipulated the pirate's sword direction.

This gave the Iron Men an opportunity to strike them.

"Ahh!" Both were struck over their shoulders by the Iron Men. But the Iron Men showed no mercy, as they lacked intelligence and were being controlled.

Both Iron spearmen stabbed forth their weapons and impaled both at the same time. 

'What happened?! Why did my sword m-move?' He coughed blood. These were Bellman's dying thoughts, as his vision sank into darkness.

He couldn't understand how this had happened, even though his crewmates died in a similar manner.

Nouva stepped out of the forest with a sigh.

"Fellas, this wasn't personal but this is the pirate world." Nouva cringed at the bloody sight before controlling the Iron Men.

He had them clean up the scene of dead bodies, but not before taking their belongings. Their weapons, a few berries, and most importantly, the map. 

Nouva stepped into the forest and viewed the map, but it wasn't easy to understand.

"System, is there a way to apply this to you, so I can find this treasure." Nouva sat against a tree and asked. 

Without replying, the system sucked the map into it!

"What?!" Nouva was stunned, but not for long because the map showed the exact treasure location. 

"Good... I wonder what the treasure will be? They're likely to be gold, right?" Nouva was eager and excited to explore.

"Hmm, I should finish off those pirates first."

Nouva noticed that the map not only showed where the treasure was, but where the pirates had come from. The map that they were carrying mapped where they had come from.

"Phew, I need a breather before going to investigate."
