Ch 56 - Operation Go!

At the same time that Cade and the girls begin to act, not far away in a high mountain villa you can hear loud reverberating sounds of crying.

Crying that sounds extremely anguished, but it isn't from a child that lost his family in front of him or a husband who watched his lives work be destroyed and his family enslaved, no, this sound is coming from the main room inside of the large house and from an overgrown giant of a man with a long white beard that curves upwards to the sides and a squished, flat head.

"A-Aaah A-aaaah I- I don't like to remember that day! Aaaaah! The day where that bastard Garp took a-away everything from me!" comes an old and angry voice that reveals itself to be the strongest man in West Blue, Don Chinjao.

"G-gramps c'mon! Try not to remember such a thing for today! We have to show the people how strong the Happo Navy really is in a few hours!" Comes another manly voice that reveals itself to be from another large man with orange hair that's put back into two strange ponytails that cover both sides of his head respectively; he also has a few missing teeth and wears black and purple striped pants. This man is none other than the second grandson of Don Chinjao, Boo.

"Y-Your right Boo! We have to show the people that Don Chinjao has not gotten soft! Even without my beautiful drill *sobs slightly* we are still the strongest powers in this sea!" Chinjao expresses after making an immediate switch of emotions.

"R-right!" Boo and a few surrounding men say as they salute and march down the mountain to a large platform created near where the yearly Dragon Boat festival takes place.

It's been 30 minutes since the demonstration has begun, so far all of the Happo navy soldiers have demonstrated different feats using their strength and the use of the Hasshoken, breaking though 30 plates of tough concrete or defeating strong opponents, its all very impressive to the civilian spectators; and high up on a luxurious spectating booth sit some of the more powerful families within Kano country, that includes the Chinjao family.

However, this peaceful booth suddenly becomes chaotic when a short stocky man wearing black and white striped pants runs in with sweat falling from his forehead and nervously announces:

"Boss! I just got word that people from Quoc country are burning down some of our pirate ships! The guards tried to stop them, but they said that the attackers couldn't be beaten! Even when the all-powerful Hasshoken was used they somehow didn't go down! One of the remaining ones sent a distress message before he was attacked!" the grunt says while shaking slightly.

When the people inside the booth hear this, it immediately becomes chaotic, and a cacophony of voices are heard.

"Quiet!" Chinjao yells out as he stands up and turns to his two grandchildren who similarly stand up.

"Sai! Boo! Go! I leave this matter to you! I will not lower myself to respond to the petty attacks of Quoc country! However, let it be known that I, Don Chinjao, at this very moment declare war on that accursed country that has been a constant thorn in my back for many years!" Chinjao declares and heavily sits back down to enjoy the ongoing demonstration, completely calm about the supposedly serious matter.

When everyone inside the booth hears this, they are stunned for a second before they begin to cheer for such a declaration of war. It's been known for a few days now that Chinjao can finally act in West Blue when they finally won a boat race in over 30 years, everyone forgetting to mention the fact that it was a false win.

Similarly, the two people who were mentioned nod as well, "Yes grandfather! I will not let you down!" shouts Sai as he marches with his brother and a few men to deal with the attackers and show that he has what it takes to be the next Don.

"Are you in Carina? I just attacked the boats; they should arrive any minute now!" I speak to a yellow flower in my hand as I look over the unconscious bodies of the guards and two slowly burning ships that I set aflame to make it more believable.

"Yeah! I just arrived, it should take me 5 minutes max to get in and out!" comes the whispering voice of Carina.

"Cade I'm following Capone as you ordered, making sure he doesn't do something stupid in the commotion, but why do we have to set up Quoc country again?" Porche-chan questions me through the same flower.

"It sounds unnecessary, but this ensures that Chinjao doesn't look too deeply into the perpetrators, after all Carina is a known thief and a wanted criminal that was seen in the West Blue not long ago, it wouldn't take much to _ that Carina might be the one to steal the Hasshoken when it's inevitably discovered that its missing." I responded back.

"But why don't we just copy it all down?" comes Porche-chans question once again.

"This isn't like those pamphlets, this is a large, detailed book, should Carina copy it all down within a couple of hours? What if she makes a mistake in her spelling and it ruins how the Hasshoken is performed?" I ask, answering the question.

"Right… dumb question sorry" Porche-chan awkwardly replies back.

"Don't worry Porche-chan you are simply acting as the mouth to some of the readers of the fanfic!" I declare happily.

"Don't break the fourth wall Cade!... but Cades right Porche, it's too big, and its not like this will make much of a different in the end, Kano country and Quoc country have constantly been at each other's throats over these past thirty years, the only reason they haven't gone to war yet is because Chinjao was held back by his promise, now that that's gone it would have been inevitable," whispers Carina through the flower.

"Yeah, I kn- "Porche begins to reply before I have to cut her off.

"Sorry girls, I've got incoming, see ya later," I say as I see the approaching small army of striped pants wearing men with two larger men that I recognize as Sai and Boo leading in the front.

I step out and take a strange pose with my arms to my sides mimicking noodles and my legs crossed in an x shape.

"I see Chinjao didn't have the balls to come face me! He had to send in the losers of the Chinjao family instead!" I say in a slightly different voice.

"So, it was people from Quoc country who dare to attack our fleet! How dare you! The monthly skirmishes aren't enough?!" Sai responds with a frown as he steps up and brandishes his bladed polearm.

"Kahaha, when we heard Chinjao won the yearly race we knew we had to act! And what better targets than the boats! Kahaha No boats mean no way for you to attack the best martial arts country in West Blue!" I say while inwardly cringing at the way I have to speak and act.

The reason for this being is that this pose is known as the pose Quoc countries combatants take before battle and they are similarly 'observed' to be annoying and cocky before battle, of course this is biased and from the perspective of Kano countries soldiers, but I want to play it up as much as possible.

"So be it! Men ge- "Sai declares before he suddenly has to dodge a barrage of incoming cannonballs that unfortunately his men and brother cannot dodge.

These cannonballs are actually ones that I had setup beforehand, being hidden within a few boats or simply a little far away, where they will appear to be still and unused cannonballs, not ones that were slowly moving.

"Kahaha! That's what you all get! Come Sai you Ramen lover! Come face me!" I loudly declare after laughing at the results. It's the first time I used this little trick that Foxy used to love doing, and I've got to admit that its quite effective against the rabble, which includes Boo unfortunately, as he was always known to be quite mediocre in combat.

"Aaah! My subordinates! You've done it now!" Sai madly shouts as he sees the bleeding men on the ground (they aren't dead, only unconscious, or at least the majority are) and charges at me covering his fists in Haki and Hasshoken.

Seeing this I grin and prepare for my first battle with an opponent that knows Haki.
