*KACHAK*

A loud sound reverberates through a large space, indicating that a large door just unlocked.

And not a second later, it slowly opens and out comes a man half the size of the door, this is our mc, and he's now at this very moment looking around in amazement at his surroundings.

"Hooh, So, this is where all those stairs lead huh?" I ask as I look around my surroundings. After finding that hidden entrance I followed the path leading down and after almost an hour of walking down I'm greeted with the sight of the large intricate door and this place…which seems to be a collection room for the billionaires of the past or something.

The whole place is quite spacious, nowhere near as large as the previous cavern but it's still large enough, however, unlike the last one which was empty and seemed to only be holding the giant black snake and all of those dials, this one holds things that are a little bit more appealing.

Every single place I look, I see walls covered in beautiful white marble as well as intricately designed sections of stone that look remarkably like the indestructible stone which made up the long tunnel into this place.

However, this isn't the most remarkable thing I see as I look around, statues, thousands of beautiful marble statues covered in gold, shiny jewels, and rare stones, I even see blue sea stone thrown into the mix as well.

However, this isn't even the most surprising thing about these statues, the surprising thing is that these statues aren't your everyday statues, no they are all lifelike statues of beautiful women!

Women dressed in revealing armor that seems to be made more for the aesthetic than for any functional purpose it may serve.

Also, for some reason these women seem to be holding large snakes made of a strange material that seems to shift and deform like smoke.

The snakes being used as weapons by the scantily clad warrior women, ranging from bows, staffs, and even a few strange ones where the beautiful women are depicted on one knee, the snakes on their shoulders with opened mouths, like some sort of powerful RPG.

"WOW! Cade did you find heaven or something!? Look at all the gold and jewels! Quick! Bring all those statues up to the surface! I'll make sure to help clear the way!" comes Carina's overexcited voice from the flower in my pocket.

"Heh, Sorry Carina but maybe later… it's more important to find Porche-chan than anything else right now," I commend back wryly, with a bead of sweat rolling down my forehead.

'Did this woman forget everything as soon as she saw all the gold or something?' I think to myself while scratching the back of my head.

Anyways, seeing all the beautiful statues immediately reminds me of the famous terracotta army of samurai discovered in the tomb of the first emperor of China in my previous world.

But instead of them being heavily dressed men, made of clay, these are scantily clad women made of marble, gold, and precious jewels.

I scrunch up my nose as I look at this remarkable sight. I would like to believe that these statues are simply a collection of beautiful statues for a powerful man of the past, but seeing as this place holds many strange secrets, I highly doubt it's that simple.

I Immediately think back on all those movies and video games where statues come to life and become enemies for the player, so I do the right thing, and immediately prepare myself for a fight if necessary.

I cover my hands in Limitless, with a lot of effort, and then proceed to slow down the atoms in the air, creating strongly packed ice, and due to all of the practice I got down here it's something I can now do in a little over a minute.

I then use this ice to cover my arms in spiked gloves that cover the entirety of my hands all the way to my elbow, protecting and giving me that extra umph that I so desperately needed, especially with the large, extremely sharp spikes that protrude outward.

As I look at the results, I'm quite satisfied, the ice does look a little different from before, having a few shades of green mixed in with the regular blue, but I'm going to blame that on the place itself, its likely just due to mold or dirty air particles or something…idk? Don't really know much about it and don't have time to think about it either.

Seeing as I'm ready if and can at least defend myself with little energy wastage, I stop using Limitless on my hands and carefully move towards the nearest statue.

"What are you doing Cade? Are you going to fight a statue now?" comes Carina's voice, sounding somewhat contemptuous, maybe not wanting me to damage the statue or something.

It's a beautiful buxom woman with flowing hair made of gold that reaches to her knees, her sexy armor doing almost nothing to hide her body or protect it in any way.

"Shush Carina… I need to focus; this might be dangerous." I reply back in a lower voice, indicating that this is serious; she seems to accept this as she doesn't talk again.

I move closer and closer until I'm 3 meters away.

2 meters.

1 meter.

1 foot.

5 inches.

And "clink" I tap on the shoulder of the statue, putting my hands up quickly in order to defend against any sudden attacks.

However, …after 30 seconds of nothing happening… I tap it again "clink" … and another 20 seconds later. I finally sigh and lower my guard. "Seems I'm just being overly paranoid," I say to myself in a bit of amusement.

"I agree… it's one thing for a hidden temple to be hidden below an island, something that I've heard has happened plenty of times before, but it's another to think that statues are going to start moving and trying to kill you or something!" she replies back to me with sass.

"Hmm, you won't be saying that when you find out what's down here, you didn't really see it, but it was something extremely dangerous and not something commonly seen," I reply back seriously.

"Then tell me! I felt that scary presence! Yet you won't tell me!" she replies back a bit angrily.

"Later… I still can't talk about it without shuddering, I need to focus right now," I reply back with a shake of my head.

Even though I witnessed the giant black snake die and burn, its mere presence and whatever it did to me still lingers at the back of my mind, I can still feel its presence and I fully believe that if I stay long enough down here, I'll quickly come face to face with it once again.

I then shake my head to clear my head and proceed to get closer and begin to examine the statue carefully, tapping and *cough* *cough* groping it in a few places… you know, to make sure that nothing bad would happen. I mean if the statue is really alive, surely it would react if it was touched somewhere, it wouldn't want anyone to touch…

Carina does tease me a bit and calls me a pervert after I gave my reasoning but otherwise ignores my shameful actions…thankfully...

*Cough* Right, anyways after a few seconds of looking over and inspecting the lifelike statue of the woman I move to a few others as well, marveling at the texture of their life-like skin; I finally get back on track and walk around the room itself, trying to find any passage that may lead to somewhere else.

Obviously, neither Porche-chan nor the red-haired woman are present so there must still be another section that I'm not seeing.

After a few minutes of exploring, I finally find another clue, a door high up on the wall, that I'm forced to jump to reach, and as I do this and go to open it by its golden handle, it shocks me and gives me a painful jolt.

The jolt felt strange, like a zap that not only traveled throughout my body but also into my shadow somehow. I don't really know how to describe the feeling, it was like another part of me that I never really knew existed was zapped, making me aware that it's somehow there.

Anyways, that finally seemed to have done something because the small door began to creak open, revealing something on the other side that caused my eyes to widen to massive proportions!

*Gasp*

It's a small room, the smallest so far, about 6-7 meters in length and width, the ceiling is not very high either, there are 4 more doors on each corner, but none of this is what causes me to stare dumbly, what causes me to react so surprised is the thing in the center of the room… It's a large square stone block!

A large 'blue' stone block with intricate archaic writing chiseled onto its front, it's something that I've heard about and been curious about ever since I arrived in this world, what lays in front of me is a goddamn Poneglyph!
