Chapter 81
"Let's get out of here... When they're all gone, I can sail away and escape!"
Miss Valentine, tucked away in a corner of the deck, watched Ron and the others seemingly preoccupied and quickly retreated further, trying to hide as she chanted. "Don't see me, don't see me, please don't see me!"
She hid in the corner, covering her eyes and muttering to herself, hoping to avoid detection.
Bang!
Nami marched over and delivered a swift blow to Miss Valentine's head. She wasn't going to be gentle with a prisoner.
"Ouch!" Miss Valentine held her head, tears welling up.
"Don't think you can slack off. You have to work if you want to eat!" Nami grabbed Miss Valentine and dragged her off the boat. Vivi followed, a mixture of amusement and sympathy evident in her expression. This woman was certainly formidable.
Tashigi secured the boat to the shore and joined the others.
Once the entire crew was on the island, the girls looked around with curiosity.
"The trees are so dense. This might be an uninhabited island," Makino remarked quietly.
"An uninhabited island? Could it be dangerous?" Nojiko inquired.
"No man's island, no man's adventure! Sounds interesting!" Ron exclaimed, gesturing enthusiastically. "Let's explore together, everyone!"
"Yay! Adventure time!" Apis cheered, the little dragon in her arms echoing her joy.
"Just don't go too far," Ron warned, looking back at the girls.
"Got it!" Nami replied firmly, pulling Miss Valentine along and leading Vivi. "We need to stock up on food and fresh water. With so many people on board, the supplies we had won't last long, especially with you, the big eater among us. You eat more than the rest of us put together!"
"Haha! Then I'll take care of hunting for more game!" Ron chuckled.
"Let's go!"
Ron led the girls off on their adventure.
Meanwhile, Mr. 3 and Miss Golden Week arrived at Small Garden.
"Ah, there's their ship. Excellent! Looks like they're on the island. Miss Golden Week, we've made it!" Mr. 3 exclaimed, waving his hand enthusiastically.
"Oh!" The little girl with the drawing board and small school bag followed, though her expression showed little enthusiasm. Running around and fighting wasn't exactly her idea of fun.
As Mr. 3 and Miss Golden Week settled in on the island, Ron's group faced a new challenge.
Roar!
A monstrous creature resembling a Tyrannosaurus Rex crashed through the trees, heading straight for Ron and his companions.
"Not good!" Nami shouted.
"Be careful!" Vivi shouted, her voice tinged with surprise.
Miss Valentine's eyes gleamed as she watched the monster, hoping it would distract Ron and give her a chance to escape.
"Wow, what a scary monster!" Apis squeezed her eyes shut and clung to Ron's clothes for dear life.
Kaya also clung to Ron's arm, trembling with fear, her head shrinking.
Tashigi drew her sword and prepared for battle.
Meanwhile, Ron, who faced the monstrous creature with a calm demeanor, pondered that he could easily control such a beast with Conqueror's Haki. Unfortunately, he hadn't mastered that skill yet. However, he remained unperturbed; even without the Conqueror's Haki, he could still handle the situation with ease.
Swish!
Maintaining his composure, Ron stretched out his hand and unleashed a blow imbued with the shadow of a wolf's head, penetrating the monster's body and striking its head.
With a thud, the creature collapsed to the ground, apparently lifeless.
"That... Was it really that easy?" Miss Valentine watched in disbelief, realizing that her troubles were far from over.
"Oh, is it over already?" Apis, opening her eyes wide, spotted the fallen monster and cheered, "Brother Ron is super powerful!"
" Ron is amazing!" Kaya nodded in agreement. (T/N: This line is really repetitive and clichéd, I know, but there's not much I can do about it.)
Ron smiled calmly and led the two admirers away from the slain creature. "You two stay back; I'll take care of this."
"Okay!" The girls stepped aside.
Drawing his sword, Ron quickly sliced the monster into large chunks of flesh.
"Girls, let's get to work!" Ron signaled, grabbing some of the largest pieces of meat and heading back to the ship.
"It's time to work!" Nami saw this and immediately instructed Miss Valentine to help.
"Alas!" Miss Valentine sighed and reluctantly joined the effort.
After some effort, they managed to gather a pile of meat slices.
"Now, let's find some fresh water. Let's keep moving!" Ron led the girls in search of a clean water source on the island.
After walking for several miles, they finally stumbled upon a clear stream.
"Let's fill the water containers!" Nami and the others began filling their wooden barrels while Ron arranged them and prepared to leave.
Boom boom...
The ground shook, causing leaves to fall from the trees above.
"What's happening? Is it an earthquake?" The girls asked fearfully.
"Don't worry!" Ron put the buckets down and motioned for the girls to gather closer.
Their eyes widened as they saw a colossal figure approaching.
"Wow, what a giant!"
"Oh my gosh, I've never seen anyone that huge before!" (T/N: Keep your minds out of the gutter, please)
"Wow, how can there be such a giant person here?" exclaimed one of the girls.
"What are we going to do, Ron?" Nami looked at Ron with concern.
" Yeah Ron, this giant is scary!" Kaya added, her face filled with worry.
Ron replied calmly, "Don't be afraid of giants."
He took two steps forward, stood in front of the girls with his hands behind his back, and stared at the approaching giant.
This giant seemed somewhat familiar; they must be in the little garden where the two giant warriors reside, and the giant in front of them must be Broggy.
"Huh? A stranger?" The giant seemed to have just noticed the relatively small Ron and looked down at him curiously. "You..."
Broggy suddenly spotted several barrels behind Ron, his eyes momentarily confused before turning angry. "You are here to steal? How dare you steal my wine!"
"What?" The girls behind Ron looked confused.
Ron remained silent, just looking at the giant Broggy with a playful expression. Did this giant mistake the barrels for stolen wine?
What a combination of a sharp mind and a but stupid outlook!
"Haah!"
Without another word, the giant Broggy swung his axe downward.
"Run!" Seeing the giant axe that seemed to blot out the sky, Nami and the others were on the verge of panic. Such a colossal weapon was beyond anything they could imagine!
" Crush it!"
Without even drawing his sword, Ron pointed a finger that was covered in a purple-red aura of Armament Haki.
With his gesture, a flash of purple-red light collided with the massive axe.
Rumble!!!
Not only did the giant axe falter, but the force of the impact sent Broggy tumbling backward as well!
Hiss...
The girls behind Ron gasped in shock, especially Miss Valentine, who stared at Ron in wide-eyed amazement.
"One finger, just one finger, defeated such a terrifying giant!!!" Miss Valentine felt weak in the knees; she finally realized that Ron hadn't used his full strength when dealing with her earlier.
