Time flew by without respite. Year 1524 of the Marine Circle Calendar, New World, Wano.
The night of the Festival of Fire covered the sky with vibrant colors and dancing sparks. Kaido, one of the Four Emperors of the Sea, stood imposing, his eyes gleaming with a mix of fury and purpose.
Before the crowd, he proclaimed his dark designs: to obtain the ancient weapons and unleash an unprecedented world war. Additionally, he announced the New Onigashima Project, a vision of a world subdued under his iron fist.
Without warning, he beheaded Kurozumi Orochi, the traitor who had ruled Wano with a cruel hand. With the same coldness, he subdued some of Wano's most resistant samurai, sealing his dominion over the region. But, deep within his soul, Kaido harbored an even darker secret.
For years, in addition to strengthening his crew, he had been collecting Devil Fruits with a singular purpose: to resurrect his former captain, Hashirama, the legendary Ninja God of Wano. Hashirama had been adored by his crew, but his uncontrollable behavior drew the ire of various sea powers and the world government. He was killed on God Valley island alongside Xebec. The resurrection of Hashirama required a hundred Devil Fruits, and Kaido was only five away from completing his goal.
On the eve of taking the Flower Capital, Kaido envisioned the glorious moment when he would move Onigashima island and witness the resurrection of his captain. A proud smile spread across his face as he imagined proving to himself and Hashirama that he had grown and could lead on his own.
However, fate is fickle. Just as he was about to execute Momonosuke, seven of the Nine Red Scabbards attacked him, triggering an epic battle.
The confrontation quickly escalated as Kaido and Big Mom, two of the most feared emperors, faced off against five members of the Worst Generation: Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro, Eustass Kid, Killer, and Trafalgar D. Water Law.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
The roar of drums resonated in every corner of the island. Luffy, despite suffering multiple defeats, stood up again and again, showing superhuman talent and determination.
At a critical moment, he awakened the true power of his Gomu Gomu Fruit, revealing itself as the Hito Hito Fruit: Model Nika.
An eerie aura emanated from Luffy, his Conqueror's Haki surged with immense force, shaking the floating island. As his fruit awakened, his hair and clothes turned completely white, with his hair and eyebrows acquiring a lighter tone and a flaming shape.
In his Nika form, Luffy grabbed Kaido and took him back to the roof to fight once more, transformed into someone entirely new.
"How is this possible?" Kaido, in his majestic eastern dragon form, couldn't believe what he was seeing.
"No... this boy is... Joy Boy."
Seeing Luffy in that state, Kaido recalled an ancient prophecy. His horrified expression gave way to sudden understanding. It wasn't just Luffy's talent; he was the legendary Joy Boy, reincarnated and changing the course of history through Luffy.
Recalling a past conversation with King, Kaido felt a deep bitterness. He wasn't fighting Luffy, but the legendary Joy Boy, an unavoidable force of change.
"This battle will be remembered through the ages, right?"
In the next moment, Kaido showed no fear, but a mix of excitement and violence in his eyes. He murmured to himself, "Captain, I won't disappoint you. Even if it's death, I'll fight till the last moment, like you did."
"Gomu Gomu no... Bajrang Gun!!" Luffy shouted from the sky, without a hint of mercy in his eyes. His fist swelled to a colossal size, comparable to Onigashima, imbued with Busoshoku Haki and Haoshoku Haki. He contracted his arm like in his Gear Fourth techniques, causing the air around him to explode with deafening force, while countless red lightning bolts zigzagged around his gigantic fist.
Kaido, with a thunderous laugh, responded from his dragon form. "Alright, I'll take your hit... Tell me, Straw Hat, did you know that 20 years ago... the hero of this country... was burned to death?"
Increasing the temperature of his body, Kaido's dragon scales turned a scorching red. "Kaen Daiko!!"
With a voice full of defiance, Kaido roared, "Shoryu... Kaen Hakke!!" Wrapped in infernal flames and tangled with Conqueror's Haki, Kaido surged furiously towards Luffy's giant fist.
The clash was titanic, a rumble that shook the foundations of Onigashima. "AAAAAAH," Luffy roared, exhaling flames of infernal temperature.
In the midst of this colossal confrontation, Kaido, with his voice resonating among the flames, asked Luffy: "Tell me, Straw Hat... what kind of world do you plan to create?"
Luffy, feeling the scorching heat emanating from Kaido, responded without hesitation: "I... WILL CREATE A WORLD... whew, whew!!" He took a breath, and with renewed strength in his voice and fist, he shouted: "A WORLD WHERE MY FRIENDS CAN EAT... AS MUCH FOOD... AS THEY WANT!!"
Both attacks collided in a state of tug-of-war, immobile in the air. A second... three seconds... a minute... Time seemed to stand still.
As the confrontation continued, Kaido's eyes filled with blood. He couldn't help but remember his past.
Sold to his country's army, Vodka, he met Hashirama, the legendary Ninja God of Wano, and became his loyal subordinate. He had endured countless trials and tribulations, always hoping to resurrect his captain.
Kaido's only regret was not being able to see Hashirama return to life. He imagined, for a moment, what it would have been like to learn ninjutsu from his captain, how it could have changed the course of his destiny.
BOOM!!
After nearly ten minutes of stalemate, Luffy's gigantic fist finally broke Kaido's resistance, striking him with overwhelming force on the head. Kaido fell like a missile, descending towards the depths of the sea.
As he fell, defeated but not vanquished, a smile formed on Kaido's face. With his last breath, he made an effort to announce something. "By the way, Straw Hat, let me tell you one thing... the true owner of this country... will return soon! At that moment, no matter who you are, you will die, WORORORORO!!!"
Kaido, with his voice resonating in the wind, gave a final order: "King, go to West Blue and do what I told you before... he will save us…."
Before he could finish, Kaido's body crashed into the sea, piercing the tectonic plates and descending into the magma, as Charlotte Linlin had done.
"Whew... whew... whew... What... did he... say...?" Luffy, exhausted from the battle, didn't understand Kaido's last words.
Before Kaido finished speaking, King, who had been waiting for his boss's signal, transformed into his pteranodon form. With tears rolling down his dinosaur eyes, he flew towards West Blue.
