The Beehive: Sudden Resistance

(A/N: Apologies for the sudden drought. Had lost my laptop and barely found it this week. Had it in a backpack that somebody accidentally took at a party. or that's what they said. I think they stole it but it's whatever. no damage on it thankfully. I'll try to get some more chapters out. In the meantime have this quick and short one.)

(Third Person's POV)

Garp stared at Starrk who let out a strange pressure. The old and experienced marine was surprised, to say the least. He had faced countless foes in his years each stronger and fiercer than the other.

But none of them were as strange as the one in front of him.

Garp couldn't help but smirk, "Ho? What's this?" He said, "You'll bury me? Ha! Give me a break, brat! You couldn't-"

Before he could finish his sentence, Garp dodged Starrk's sword as the latter swung at his head. Garp was surprised at the speed and power that he had suddenly displayed, especially the speed. His observation haki had barely picked it up since he was taken by surprise.

Before he could even counter, Starrk wildly swung his sword multiple times, forcing Garp to take a step back and block and deflect the strikes with his forearms that were reinforced with Armament haki.

"Tch!" Garp said as Starrk kept wailing on him, "Don't get too cocky on me, boy!"

Garp then caught the blade with his hand and followed with a punch to Starrk's face. The blow was meant to knock him out but to his surprise, Starrk took it head-on without showing any reaction.

"What the?" Garp said

Starrk then let go of his sword's handle and with one of his hands, punched Garp in the ribs. The strike was hard enough for Garp to feel it but not enough to damage him.

Garp then grabbed him by the shirt and with tremendous force, he flung him at the ground, causing a crater. He then followed with a stomp on Starrk's chest which caused him to cough out blood. This happened while Garp still held Ice in his hand.

All the Marines stared at this with awe. Even Cregan was a bit surprised. Nobody expected such a sudden resistance from Starrk. Cregan actually believed that he was out of the fight.

Garp sighed as he dropped the sword, "Damn. To think that you would actually pull that off, it's surprising." He said, "You were letting out some crazy aura, kid. But I think that's the end-"

Starrk suddenly grasped Garp's foot that was still on his chest. This surprised Garp yet again who looked down at him.

Starrk merely glared at him with a fierce look in his eyes. His grip was getting stronger by the second.

"That's a scary look in your eye." Garp said seriously, "I am afraid I am going to have you let go of my foot."

Without saying anything else, Garp raised his foot a bit and slammed it again on his chest, this time infusing it with armament happen. The strike was powerful enough to cause a shockwave. This caused Starrk to release the grip on Garp's foot.

Garp then took a step back and looked down at him, "Hm. I have to say...." he muttered to himself, "You'll be a troublesome opponent. That sudden change in his demeanor and his power....it ain't normal."

Starrk was coughing as he clutched his chest and rolled over. He tried to get on his knees but struggled to do so. He was feeling an unusual feeling in his body; despite taking so much damage that'll normally incapacitate an average fighter in this world, his body is pushing on as if it wants more.

Garp merely stared at this, he was watching carefully to see if he was making any other sudden moves.

Suddenly, he widened his eyes as the ground started to shake violently.

He gritted his teeth as he turned around, "Shit!"

Suddenly a powerful pressure was felt by all the marines.

"what the-?!" some of them exclaimed before passing out

The majority of the marines collapsed as the rest were staggering. Cregan himself was bracing himself not because of the pressure, but because of the violent shaking.

Garp watched as a massive figure appeared in the distance.

"Gurararara...." a voice bellowed, "If it isn't Garp, The Hero..."

A large and massive man approached the Marine as he held a long and massive naginata. The iconic white mustache glistening in the sunlight as the legendary pirate let out a grin.

Garp merely scowled, "So you've come..."

"Whitebeard."
