A Rowdy Night (3)

Senor Pink's feet began to sink into the ground as if it had turned into quicksand, as he replied;

"A child like you, spoiled by the Marine, has no right to talk about such topics."

Raoul watched as Senior Pink began to swim through the ground, moving with a fluid grace that seemed almost surreal. The terrain rippled and parted like water around him, allowing him to glide effortlessly through the battlefield. His dark sunglasses reflected the chaotic scene, a slight smirk playing on his lips.

"Impressive ability," Raoul remarked, his voice steady despite the strange sight before him. His bright blue eyes began to glow faintly, and his hair subtly shifted with the rising energy within him.

Senior Pink's voice echoed from beneath the surface, his words dripping with confidence. "You think you can keep up with me, marine? This battlefield is my playground."

Raoul remained calm, his stance firm and unyielding. He could feel the power of his Devil Fruit surging within him, the air around him beginning to crackle with static electricity. "You might have the advantage of the terrain, but I have the advantage of speed."

Suddenly, Senior Pink burst from the ground, aiming to strike Raoul from an unexpected angle. But in that very instant, Raoul's form blurred, moving faster than the eye could follow. The friction from his rapid movement created a shower of sparkling stars, illuminating the battlefield with a brilliant white-gold light.

In the blink of an eye, Raoul appeared behind Senior Pink, his fist glowing with an intense blue aura. He swung with all his might, the speed and power of his punch generating a shockwave that rippled through the air. The impact was tremendous, sending Senior Pink crashing back into the ground with a thunderous boom.

The battlefield fell silent, the shockwave of Raoul's strike leaving a deep crater where Senior Pink lay. Dust and debris settled slowly, revealing the defeated pirate sprawled at the bottom of the crater, struggling to catch his breath.

Raoul's eyes returned to their normal shade of blue, the glow fading as he relaxed his stance. He took a deep breath, his voice calm but resolute. "As I said, I'll listen to your story... once you're behind bars."

Senior Pink groaned, his strength depleted by the sheer force of Raoul's attack. "You must be... Joking..."

The scene was tense. Senor Pink lay unconscious on the ground, defeated by Raoul in a single blow. The surrounding soldiers, who had witnessed the fight, were paralyzed with fear. One of the soldiers, trembling, reached for his Den Den Mushi and initiated a call to Doflamingo.

"Doffy, it's an emergency!" the soldier's voice shook as he spoke into the snail. "Smoker has attacked the warehouse with two others. They're fighting right outside, and we are still preventing them from entering."

Doflamingo's response was cold and unhurried. "Smoker? That amateur won't be a problem. Tell Vergo to handle it."

The soldier glanced nervously at the battle. Vergo had already engaged Smoker, and the fight was brutal. Smoker lay on the ground, defeated, while Coby struggled against Baby 5 and Dellinger. The soldier's voice wavered as he continued, "It's not Smoker... It's a marine I've never seen before. Blonde hair, blue eyes, and he has the words 'Vice Admiral' on his back. He took down Senor Pink with one hit!"

Doflamingo's eyebrow twitched at this information. "A Vice Admiral, you say? And he defeated Senor with one blow?" He paused, his gaze shifting to the full moon visible through the palace's glass windows. "Interesting."

Doflamingo's lips curled into a smirk. "I'll be there shortly. This is too intriguing to ignore."

Back at the battlefield, Vergo loomed over Smoker, his body enveloped in Armament Haki. "You've always been a thorn in my side, Smoker. Time to end this," he said, lifting his leg to deliver a final, crushing blow.

Just as Vergo's foot descended, a streak of white and yellow stars flashed through the air. In an instant, Raoul appeared, his body shimmering with speed. Vergo's foot struck nothing but empty air and the trailing stars. The sound of Raoul's rapid movement was like a soft thunderclap, reverberating through the night.

Vergo placed his foot back on the ground and stood still, recognizing the sound and sight. He turned to Raoul, his expression calm. "Impressive. You saved Smoker in the nick of time," he said, his voice low and measured.

Raoul's blue eyes glowed faintly, a sign of his power, as if the switch to using his ability was activated. "Smoker is under my protection," Raoul replied firmly. "And you, Vergo, have betrayed the Marines. I won't let that go unpunished."

Vergo's lips curled into a slight smile. "You talk as if you understand the world, but you're still a child in this game. Let's see if you can back up those words with action."

Raoul's eyes narrowed. "I've taken down your subordinates. You'll be no different."

Vergo laughed after hearing this and said; "Who? Senor Pink? He's just an amateur, the only person I work under is the Shichibukai, Doflamingo."

The two of them stood facing each other, the tension between them palpable. Smoker, struggling to his feet, watched the confrontation unfold. Despite his injuries, a spark of hope ignited within him. Raoul had stepped in just when all seemed lost. That's why Smoker said while struggling to stand; "You can't defeat him, Raoul, just get away you and Coby from here."

Raoul's hair shook left and right, and his eyes glowed like ocean water in which the sun's rays were reflected, and he answered seriously; "Don't forget, I am also a Vice Admiral. I have the right to disobey your orders in such cases."

Bergo smiled after hearing this and said; "This is good, the new soldier against the old soldier. You newcomers do not know many things, including basic rules, which are that the newcomer will never defeat the professional!"
