CHAPTER 38
–Keystone City–
Yuri sat in his car, placing four DNA samples in his hand on the table.
He pressed the start button on the omnitrix and put the watch into capture mode.
The green dial immediately transformed into yellow.
Aligning the watch with the first sample, a narrow beam of light shot out from the watch and illuminated the sample.
In the next second, the DNA sample was stored in the watch's database, and an additional avatar appeared on the transformation list.
The first sample belonged to Girder. Through the gene optimization function of the watch, the defect in Girder's body that caused oxidation and rusting was compensated for.
If his original body was made of ordinary steel, the "Girder" Yuri can transform into became stainless steel with upgraded hardness and strength.
Moreover, the rust-colored appearance of Girder's original body, after optimization by the watch, turned into a more beautiful silver color.
From the outside, the optimized "Girder" resembled Marvel's Colossus more than the original Girder, just lacking the ability to change body structure like Colossus.
According to the data provided by the watch, the optimized "Girder" was still not as strong as Four-Arms in terms of strength, but had slightly stronger defense, although not as strong as Diamondhead.
It was a somewhat awkward existence, positioned between Four-Arms and Diamondhead .
Continuing to capture the next sample, Murmur.
Murmur had great DNA potential. Although he lacked powerful combat abilities, his blood itself could resist almost all toxins on Earth. After optimization by the watch, the immune ability of this sample reached a terrifying level.
The optimized Murmur couldn't be killed by any known virus or bacteria in the universe. Furthermore, he could also resist all forms of radiation, including nuclear radiation and electromagnetic radiation.

Yuri was caught in a dilemma. The existing DNA samples only included the initial ten, such as XLR8, as well as the newly added Girder, Murmur, and Tar Pit.
None of them seemed quite suitable for Turbine's power.
However, the energy collected by Yuri needed to be absorbed by the omnitrix as soon as possible, or it would be depleted in a short time.
Finally, Yuri made a decision.
He manually operated it and merged Turbine's energy into the DNA of Ripjaws.
Ripjaws, a species called Piscciss Volann, was an amphibious creature with a fish-like head and a humanoid body. Underwater, they had movement speed far surpassing that on land, and their mouths could open extremely wide, with biting force capable of tearing through the outer steel plates of warships.
Apart from their astonishing biting force, Ripjaws didn't possess any particularly outstanding abilities.
As the only aquatic combat form currently available to Yuri, Ripjaws didn't have much use in inland cities like the Central City.
But there was no harm in enhancing its combat power. It was better to be prepared in advance, as there were no better options available anyway.
Moreover, after the upgrade, Ripjaws could create catastrophic sea tornadoes or whirlpools, which was quite terrifying.
When the energy of Turbine fused with Ripjaws, just like XLR8, it produced a mutated variant of Ripjaws.
Considering the rotational power of the mutated Ripjaws, Yuri, who was not good at naming, decided to not change its name.
It is worth mentioning that Ripjaws' transformation duration was unlimited.
It was not the same as with XLR8.
This was due to the difference in energy levels. The omnitrix couldn't simulate the power of Speed Force on its own and couldn't provide a continuous energy supply like it did for XLR8.
However, simulating the rotational energy of Turbine was effortless for the omnitrix. The energy stored in the watch could sustain Ripjaws' continuous transformations.
With this, Yuri's first DNA sample capture operation came to a perfect conclusion.
"It's time to leave this city. These recent chaotic events have exhausted me. I've made up my mind. I'll go to Blue Valley Town and stay there until the universe reboots or something."
Yuri closed the watch and reflected on the past few days' encounters, silently determined.
Getting stronger is good, but it's also tiring.
Yuri glanced at the time; it was almost lunchtime. Before leaving, he decided to have a good meal and buy some food and water.
With the thought in mind, Yuri drove his car straight to the most famous Flash-themed restaurant in the city center and enjoyed a satisfying meal.
Meanwhile, in the hidden underground network base of Twin City.
Blacksmith led her new gang of ruffians and thousands of soldiers under her command, preparing for the final mobilization speech.
"Everyone, I must tell you a heavy truth!"
"The network we have worked hard to build for fifteen years is coming to an end."
"One after another, madmen with superhero aliases like the First Flash, the Current Flash, Kid Flash, Jessie Quick, Chunk, and Pied Piper have appeared and disrupted our business."
"Not only that, my ex-husband, Goldface, anonymously leaked the information to the FBI, exposing the existence of the network. It's only a matter of time before all of us are exposed."
"In recent years, our lives have become increasingly difficult. If we continue like this, we will only be waiting for our doom!"
"Answer me, everyone from the network. Are you willing to watch everything we have painstakingly built turn to ashes? Do you want to go back to the hopeless days, where we had to go hungry every day?"
Blacksmith shouted loudly, asking the soldiers.
"No!"
The soldiers passionately replied in unison.
"Very well!"
She then clenched her fist and exclaimed, "After our long efforts, we have finally cleared all obstacles in Twin City. Now, only Kid Flash can stand against us."
"Today is the day we reclaim everything that belongs to us!"
"The Mirror Master's illusion can keep our actions unnoticed by the Justice League for at least half a day!"
"During this time, we will seize all the wealth of Keystone City and Central City and relocate to another city to rebuild!"
