Chapter 21:Kiting

While I was walking in glade, I can't help but admire this world. The flora in ancient times is really rich and abundant , high trees and tall grass, flowers blooming and birds chirping. The air that makes me have a refreshing feeling just by breathing, truly the beauty of nature. This really makes me form a firm awareness that I have been really isekai-ed.

But, walking a few more minutes in this forest, makes me feel unease like there is a being watching and this suspicion grew as time flew by. When I was walking for more than 15 minutes in and I was walking deeper in the outskirt, there is still no prey. I thought that I would be going to hunting area like a gamer would be and kill the prey make it a stepping stone then ascend to heaven.

Where is the magic beast? where is the isekai monsters? the experience points?

where is the legendary slimes? the rabbits?

the wolf?the goblins? the chickens? etc?

But I just realized I was a shallow man, the saying 'there is no free lunch in the world' keeps echoing within me. F*ck I thought I  would be stronger just by hunting faster by but I didn't really take note of the necessities.

I was a type of guy who didn't read a manual before playing a game, and just directly experience and go along the way. sighh! this really is a blunder on my part.

There beyond the bushes there is an ominous light red color. It brought a cold chill to my spine and my breathe stilled. Then after that it comes to step by step almost synchronizing to my heartbeat,but one thing is on my mind.

Then I ran and ran, thank god I learned that new movement technique or else. I just thought of a scenario that 'if there is no prey then definitely there must be a predator around' it just sink in to me. f*ck I just think of this as a game at first, but I was definitely wrong. This is reality.

But even after I ran, I also saw a glimpse of the creature who was trying to kill me and feed in my flesh, it was a little slow maybe because of its size? It was a boar of a size as big as a cow, its killing intent is suffocating me and its gaze is like piercing to my back leaving a bone freezing effect. And what more, its mouth is drooling like fantasizing about the delicacy in front or my taste and deliciousness and its snot is releasing a smoke. It roar of joy shook me and deafining my ears. There is only a small gap between us like 5 meters.

Then suddenly appears like I was a given death sentence, like pouring a cold water to my face then it paled. Its like death ripper was walking towards me.

Stupid system. can't you just go along with me for once? must you really torture me to the end till my death?

Like a person on steroid, my speed suddenly receive a huge boost. The wind is hitting in my face and my adrenaline is pumping with energy even if my legs is sore and hurting. It looks like Eye shield 21 is back or the Flash is on the move leaving a blur on its wake.

The beast that is following me has a dumbfounded look on his face. Its like it asking  'Are you on drugs dude? why are so fast like there's a fire on your butt? I almost caught up to you then now' The boar has a distress look hanging around his face.

Its like show of Tom and Jerry wherein Tom always chasing after Jerry and when he almost caught up. Jerry revealed his secret weapon right in front of him. Haha what a good show.

Between fight or flight, of course I would choose the latter but now that there's a reward in punishing this beast who shames me of running away.

Hey don't get me wrong, its not really running away its just a tactical retreat. Of course, I need to find the possible solution to my current predicament, because there is a saying that 'the solution is just around you or you just don't notice it yet'.

Then I found some gotcha. "Vision"
