Chapter 4: Fire trap

"What do you say Sokka?"

"What you heard, come with me to visit that ship" Sokka commented with a big smile.

Although this was mostly because he didn't know exactly where that place was, and he knew that Katara had gone there at some point.

"Why? You know we're not allowed to do it." Katara looked at his brother with a raised eyebrow.

"It's just curiosity, and if you don't come with me I'll tell Gran Gran what you did last week," Sokka declared, smiling.

Though honestly Katara hadn't done anything, at least nothing that he knew about. And anyway he knew that was going to work out well.

"You won't Sokka!" Katara looked at him defiantly, and his older brother was not intimidated by that, "It's okay, you've been too weird lately."

"And you're a bit bitter, you need a boyfriend," the boy responded, leaving his sister absolutely blushing at the comment.

Sokka smirked. Katara huffed, crossing her arms. Then they left the village, heading towards the old abandoned ship.

It wasn't that far from the village. There was a mass of ice that lifted the ship, leaving it completely trapped with no other options.

According to legends, the waterbenders raised a wave that they turned into ice, thus blocking this enemy ship, "It looks majestic, doesn't it?"

"Yes? I guess our ancestors didn't think much about that," Katara responded as they entered the place, "This is old."

"Not that old, maybe half a century," Sokka spoke, touching the metal walls, "It's just that it has deteriorated from lack of maintenance."

"Wow Sokka, I didn't know you were an expert on Fire Nation ships now," Katara commented in a sarcasm tone.

"Your brother is a genius, unlike you," Sokka replied mockingly, raising a vein in Katara's forehead, "Do you think it will work?"

"I highly doubt it, the engines must be destroyed" the girl responded and Sokka nodded, that was his thought, "What are you planning?"

"Nothing, you can wait for me here" declared Sokka going towards a room, in which he found weapons, "Bingo, here I can find something important"

Sokka grabbed a spear, a scythe, and a naginata. He took these three weapons and stored them in the system inventory. "I like this"

Lance

Boomerang

Scythe

Club

Naginata

He had the rest of the weapons since he was younger. But of course, more than having weapons, the important thing was learning to use them well.

"I only came for the old ship but I found more useful things, this has been very fruitful" Sokka commented leaving the room, "Katara?"

His younger sister had gone to another room, looking at the place, "Can we go now? This place honestly doesn't give me a good feeling."

"Yes, now let's go home" Sokka nodded, and suddenly his foot tripped on an invisible wire that was on the floor, "Shit a trap and we fell"

As soon as Sokka realized that some bars were beginning to close them in, he threw Katara away, pushing her to get out before the bars.

"Sokka!" Katara shouted, quite worried, seeing that her brother was the one who had been locked in that room.

"Calm down, get off the ship and I'll find you now" Sokka responded and she nodded, looking for the exit. Suddenly, the engines started.

A trail of smoke began to come out of some tubes and then a flare shot into the sky, "This is serious, I have to get out now."

Sokka looked up, seeing that there was a hole in the ceiling. So taking the spear, he propelled himself using it as a javelin to get out now.

"Sokka!" Katara ran towards him as soon as she saw him leave, "Have you seen that? It's bad, now the Fire Nation will come to attack the village."

"I know, but nothing will happen," Sokka replied, leaving his sister more confused, "You are our trump card, you waterbender."

"Me? I can't against the Fire Nation" Katara lowered her shoulders, however Sokka patted her with a big brother smile.

"Well that's why I'm here, the most difficult wars are won here" Sokka pointed to his forehead, "I have a plan that I hope works"

And immediately the two returned to the village, where everyone was gathered because they had seen that flare flying through the sky.

"Children, where were you?" Gran Gran looked at them, and immediately knew what her grandchildren had done, "Now you have put us in serious trouble."

"It was my fault Gran Gran, I encouraged Katara to go to that place" Sokka took a step forward, "But I'll fix it, I have a great idea"

Sokka told his sister the plan, where her water control would play a pivotal role in the success or failure of what he had planned.

After a few moments, a ship that was prowling the region suddenly appeared, approaching the village, 'Ah, here they come'

[The fire nation is your enemy]

[Maximum time: 10 minutes]

[If the mission is not completed within the established time, the system will punish the host]
