New life

Amanda kept grinning looking at Adam's preceding figure. The previous thirty minutes seemed utterly dreamy to her, and she yet again touched the two bank cheques, to checked if everything that had happened was indeed real. "Thank you God. You have solved all my problems and now I have an entire library at my disposal. Arghhhh!!" The girl screamed a bit in excitement, and turned around to walk towards the counter.

Suddenly she spotted the bald and fat boss, standing close to her, looking at her angrily. "Amanda!! How dare you sit on the counter chair along with the customer. Who the hell do you think you are!!!?? Don't you know, it is against the rules!?" The man shouted at the top of his voice, shouting at her in front of all the customers, who had now turned to look at the two of them.

Amanda frowned a bit and then folded her hands in much confusion. "I know the rules, but I will only obey them, if I had been working for you. I quit the job right here, right now!! And you know what, those 50 currency note that you had to pay me, keep it in you fat mouth. I don't need them." The girl spoke in a firm tone, pointing her finger at the man's bulky mouth.

The man gasped in shock and utter confused, as Amanda smirked in much attitude, walking out of the bar. As soon as she walked out, she halted next to her robe and took deep breaths, feeling extremely liberated and elated. She had been listening to several insults from her boss and today finally she got to leave the job and also give back the same amount of attitude.

Soon the girl was wearing her black long robe, ready to walk back to the hostel. Little did the girl know that those black eyes were yet looking at her, from the corner of a tree.

Soon the girl started to walk back towards her hostel with a happy smile on her face, when suddenly a thought hit her hard. "Wh... wait... I have not even confirmed if this bank cheque is genuine or not." The girl gasped in shock. "And I have already quit my job at the bar and even refused to take my pay. What if that Adam turns out to be a prankster from my college, as he did not even look that old to be that rich!" Her heart was now beating rapidly and she quickly rushed towards the bank building, situated at corner of the street.

It was a large white coloured building, and a huge porch in the front. Several officials were already coming out from the bank, as it was already way past the office timings. Amanda quickly sprinted towards the building, in much nervousness. "I am so dumb. What if all this was a joke and now I am penniless and jobless?" She kept cursing herself all the way to the bank and finally halted at the porch. "I have no idea, whom to talk."

The girl looked at the building in utter confusion as several men were walking out of it, holding there briefcases and coats. Just then an elderly man, with silver hair and wrinkled face spotted Amanda, looking utterly confused. "How can I help you young lady? I see that look on every person's face, who has never been to bank before."

Amanda was a little startled as she turned to look at the man. He was smartly dressed in a suit, and thick glasses, smiling at Amanda. "Hello Sir. You guessed it right. This is my first visit and I have a few things to ask."

"Sure young lady. Come inside please, to my office." The man smiled and turned back to enter the building again.

Amanda took a deep breath as she entered the massive metal door of the bank. Her mouth fell open as she entered the colossal hall of the bank, with a beautiful carved dome ceiling. There were several counters on both the sides, which were piled up with several papers and other office essentials. The shining floor, seemed to be made of expensive marble, where as the beautiful ceiling lights, had made the room to look well lit up.
