Forbidden Love

Ndukwe woke up the next day very late and had no motivation to go to school.

Ndukwe's mom, who had already gotten dressed for work, went to Ndukwe's room and saw him still in bed. She said, "Ndukwe, it's 7:30 a.m already. Why are you still in bed?"

He looked at his mom and couldn't say anything. He stood up and walked to the bathroom to shower and get ready for school.

The day was beautiful and sunny. He felt that it would be a good day and hoped Ada would talk to him.

Upon his arrival at school, he saw Ada, but she tried to avoid talking to him. Ndukwe ran to her and shouted her name, "Ada! Ada!! Ada!!" Everyone around was watching, but he didn't care.

Ada couldn't look him in the eyes, so she looked at his shoes and said to him with a soft voice, "Ndukwe, I'm sorry. I can't talk to you anymore."

"But why?" Ndukwe asked

"I can't live without you," she said. Tears ran from her eyes. She couldn't hold back her tears, so she walked into her class.

As Ndukwe heard what Ada had said, he was a bit relieved.

The word gave him hope. So, he walked into his class but kept staring at Ada.

He could not focus in class and was hoping he could talk to Ada and fix their relationship.

Ndukwe said to himself (monologue), "Ada was the only thing that has added meaning to his life. I can't let her go."

The bell rang at about 12:00 p.m. It was lunch time.

Ada tried to sneak out of the classroom to avoid talking to Ndukwe, but he ran to her and said, "Ada, please, let's talk."

"Ada, please, let's talk," he said.

That was when Ada poured out everything to him.

"My parents told me to stop talking to you, because they don't approve of our relationship," she explained. "I'm sorry, Ndukwe. I don't have a choice."

I cry every time, because I am so in love with you.

Ndukwe looked at her with a pained expression. "I won't give up on us, Ada," he said firmly. "I'll talk to your parents and convince them to give me a chance."

Ada shook her head. "It's no use, Ndukwe," she said sadly. "They won't change their minds."

"Did your mom tell you the reason why she doesn't want us to talk or be together?" Ndukwe asked.

Yes, she said she don't like you, and I am too young to be in a relationship

Ndukwe took her hands in his and said, "I love you, Ada. I won't let anything come between us."

Ada gave him a small smile before pulling away. "I have to go," she said, glancing at the hallway. "I'll see you later, Ndukwe."

As she walked away, Ndukwe watched her with a determined look on his face. He knew he wouldn't give up on their love.

Ndukwe did not go out for a lunch break, he stayed in his classroom and wrote a letter to Ada. His letter was full of emotions, love, strength, and hope. He told her that they should not give up on each other and also said that they should communicate more through letters and keep their relationship a secret. He also suggested that they should find a special place to meet.

Secretly, he gave the letter to Ada, who was so happy to read it and loved him even more.

She wrote back, suggesting that they should always meet in the library, as it would be the only way to keep their relationship a secret, and that they should communicate more through letters.

At the end of the school day, Ndukwe walked home happily.
