The Secret Base

Ava stayed up late at night and she was exhausted because of what happened at the party so she slept until two o'clock in the afternoon the next day. When she woke up, Oliver was not there so she assumed he went to work. After freshen up when she came downstairs she was surprised to see Erika was in the living room pacing anxiously.

"Rika!

"Sister-in-law, where is my brother? Please call him now."

Erika knew Oliver's character very well. Last night when she saw the pictures she already guessed her brother is going to make Sam pay for what he did so she went to look for him in the morning to warn him. However, she couldn't find him anywhere, she tried to call him but his phone was unreachable. Erika had a feeling that Oliver had got to him, so she came to his villa.

"Rika, what happened why are you so anxious?" Ava was happy when Erika called her sister-in-law again but her crazy appearance was scaring her a bit.

"I think Sam is taken away by Oliver. I can't find him anywhere. I am afraid Oliver will do something to him if he gets too angry." Erika said worriedly.

Ava was dumbfounded hearing that she quickly went upstairs into her room to find her phone. Ava called Oliver and the phone kept ringing for a while but he didn't answer it, the phone disconnected. Ava and Erika looked at each other worriedly. Ava called again.

Oliver was in his secret base when he saw Ava called he was actually beating Sam. He stopped and got out of there then went to a security room to answer the call.

"Hey baby, you are up?" Oliver asked in a warm tone, but his eyes were looking at Sam coldly through the monitor.

"Oliver, where are you now? Can you come back home?" Ava said anxiously.

Before Oliver could answer Erika snatched the phone from Ava's hand and said anxiously, "Brother, I know you have taken Sam away. Please I beg you don't do anything irrational, I know you are angry but you hurt him. If you want to clear Ava's name you need him alive. Please let him go."

Erika guessed, Oliver must have taken Sam to his secret base, she had heard about this place from her father but she had never been there. It's said that the place is too violent, someone can find every possible thing in that place to torture a person to death and once a person went inside that place they never saw the light outside. Erika was afraid Sam will have the same fate and die inside.

"Are you in the villa?" Oliver raised his eyebrows and asked annoyed.

"Brother, please let Sam go." Erika was so nervous she was sweating continuously.

"Erika, don't interfere in my matters, I know what I am doing," Oliver said coldly and hung up the phone.

Erika's face fall and Ava's heart tightened. She looked at Erika and asked, "Rika, do you know where your brother has taken Sam? Let's go and talk to him face to face."

Erika was stunned for a moment then she nodded and immediately called her father to ask about the secret base. At first, Mathew refused to tell her because that place is too dark for a woman than under Erika's constant pressure he told her.

The secret base was in the deep jungle of a mountain on the east side of the city. After Erika got the address, she rushed there with Ava. The place was very difficult to find and Erika almost lost her way twice but she had a good sense of direction so she found the right way quickly, she even called her father a few times to make sure she was on the right way to the base. With the help of her father, Erika finally found the base.

The place didn't look anything special at a glance, it was a Gothic two-storied building surrounded by high trees but because of those trees it was hidden and looked a bit creepy. When they got there they saw two rows of bodyguards in black standing outside. Ava and Erika got out of the car and went to the entrance but the bodyguards stopped them to get inside.

"Hello, Miss Knight. I am afraid you cannot go inside. I request you to go back please"

Erika looked at the man and said coldly, "I'm here to see my cousin. Please let us in."

But the man didn't move he said with a straight face, "CEO Knight instructed us not to let anyone inside. So I am sorry."

"What the hell! Don't you know who we are? How dare you stop us?" Erika angrily glared at the man. She was really afraid the more time she will waste outside, the less chance she will have to save Sam. She knew well once Oliver loses his control there was no way to stop him.

"No one can enter without the permission of CEO Knight." The man said stubbornly.

Ava saw the situation and knew without Oliver they wouldn't be able to get inside. She said calmly, "Rika, calm down. Let me call Oliver and ask him to let us in."
