The Interrogation

Inside the base.

In a dark room, a dim light was on. There were no windows in the room, only one iron door. The room smelled humid and musty, mixed with the smell of blood. Samuel was tied up with a chair in the middle of the room and his head was hung low. He doesn't even remember how long he had been whipped by Oliver. His clean white shirt was now red with his own bloodstains.

"So are you going to open your mouth or not?" Oliver held a black whip in his hand and stared at Samuel with cold and fierce eyes.

"I already told you, we slept together. I have nothing else to tell you." Samuel said breathing heavily.

"Samuel Evan, believe me when I say that I'll kill you right here and right now." Oliver's eyes were bloodthirsty red in anger. He has been beating Samuel for a while now but this stubborn man refuses to open his mouth, Oliver was frustrated.

"Even if you kill me, you cannot change the truth." Samuel sneered and looked at Oliver. Although he was in pain but looking at Oliver's frustrated face he felt happy inside.

"That's not the truth you and I both know that." Oliver's black whip fell on Samuel again.

Samuel's left shoulder was already wounded, the whip fell on the wound and the blood started to flow from his shoulder. His whole body was in pain but Samuel still stubbornly refused to open his mouth about the incident. He wanted to make Oliver lose his mind over this.

"Ava will never forgive you if you kill me." Samuel clenched his teeth and said word by word, he was in pain, a lot of pain.

"Don't threaten me with her, Samuel. Do you have any conscience left? Ava has always regarded you as a friend, for you, she even broke up with me, but what did you do? You tricked her to believe a lie. Do you know how much she has been suffering believing that lie? Do you think you are worthy of being with her?" Oliver said sharply.

Samuel sneered and said. "I know well whether I am worthy or not but Oliver do you think you are worthy of her? How much pain you have caused her so far? All you can do is threaten her and force her. She will never be happy with you. But I can give her the happiness she deserves. I will never hurt her like you did."

Oliver heard Sam, he was so angry that he couldn't stand there anymore but he kept his calm and went to the table at the corner of the room, there was a large bucket full of ice and saltwater. Oliver took the bucket and threw it on Samuel.

Samuel's whole body jerked in pain. He was already wounded all over and the ice and saltwater made his wound burn. He started to shout in pain. At that moment he wanted to die instead of been tortured by Oliver like that.

Oliver was really angry this time. He rarely made his hand dirty with this kind of thing but this matter was related to Ava and moreover, the pictures were exposed in front of his whole family so Oliver couldn't hold back his anger and started to beat Sam ruthlessly.

"Oliver, hurry up and get it done with," Samuel said, gnashing his teeth.

"Well, as you wish." Oliver's eyes were cold.

At that moment, Oliver's cell phone rang. He took it out and saw it was Ava he went out of the room and answered the call.

"Ava."

"Oliver, I'm outside," Ava said hesitating, she was very tense. She knew well that Oliver wouldn't be happy about her being in this place but she had to try. She still believed Sam was not a bad person, so she could not let him die here and definitely not in Oliver's hand.

Oliver was silent for a moment then he said coldly. "Go back."

"Why? Oliver didn't you say last night, whatever happens, we will face it together. In that case, why do you want me to go back? I am the one who is directly involved in this matter then why should I stay away?" Although Ava's voice was soft but there was a firmness in them. She refuses to go back and hide at home when her best friend and boyfriend are fighting with each other.

Oliver listened to Ava quietly then asked calmly, "Rika is with you, too?"

"Yes."

Oliver's face got hard, he couldn't understand after what Samuel had done to Erika, why she was still trying to save him? He turned and walked toward the exit.

"Wait there, I am coming out."

Oliver knows, there are some things he can't avoid, he has been thinking a lot about the past lately and he has decided to come clean to Ava about his past and proposed to her. However, he still had a fear in his heart that Ava wouldn't be able to accept the truth but he doesn't want to hide it from her anymore.

In fact, it was after they broke up Oliver finally realized that he couldn't live without Ava. Even though he tried to keep himself busy with work day and night but there wasn't a single moment when he didn't miss her. He loved her too much.
