The argument with Sam

"Sam, it's a bit complicated but I still want to answer you honestly, Yes Oliver is the man I am in love with." At the mention of Oliver, all the hesitation Ava had was gone instantly.

"Ava do you know everything about him?" Sam asked worriedly, his eyes become dim.

Everything? She knew some things about Oliver, but she didn't know anything about his past. She knew Oliver had a girlfriend who was a knot in his heart but she didn't know anything past that. She also knew Oliver had hidden many things from her but he said he will tell her everything and she was willing to wait for him to tell her. She knew it was her failure that he didn't open up to her but as long as Oliver truly loved her and was willing to be with her, she didn't regret anything, even if they get separated in the future she still wouldn't regret loving him.

Ava shook her head, there was a touch of sadness in her eyes, she said in a low voice, "Not very well."

"How could you fall in love with him so casually? Do you know how cruel Oliver could get to make things the way he wanted them to be? There is a reason why he was able to turn the clouds and rain and become one of the most powerful businessmen in the mall. He does many disrespectful things behind the scene. does it not matter to you? How could you be happy with such a person?" Sam said very fiercely.

"Sam, I think you got him wrong, Oliver is not that kind of person." Ava tried to defend Oliver, she didn't want Sam to misunderstand Oliver.

"Ava all the people in the mall are like that, just their level of viciousness varies from person to person. Please, Ava, believe me, he is not suitable for you. Leave him as soon as possible, you will not be happy with him." Sam pulled Ava's hand excitedly.

Sam really didn't like the idea of Ava being with Oliver Knight. If it was someone else then he probably wouldn't get this excited. He knew exactly what kind of person Oliver Knight was.

"Sam please stop it. I am not stupid, although I don't know everything about Oliver but I have the ability to judge people. I know what kind of person Oliver is and I don't regret loving him." Ava took out her hand from Sam's warm palm and there was a firmness on her calm face.

"Now you are saying that but have you thought that if one day Oliver didn't want you anymore, what will happen to you at that time?" Sam said sharply, his eyes fell on Ava's left wrist which was still covered in white gauze.

Sam was two years older than Oliver so when he entered Beijing No. 4 High schools, he was Oliver's senior. As Oliver was good-looking he attracted a large number of girls with his handsome appearance at school at that time, in fact, his two sisters were among the girls who were head over heels in love with him. He was a sunny boy and everyone liked him very much. At that time no one knew his true identity and everyone thought he was from a normal average family from some other city. Sam was also very impressed by Oliver's outstanding performance in studies and sports at that time.

"Sam we don't know what will happen in the future, if there comes a day Oliver didn't want me anymore I will let him go and chose to bless him." Ava's voice tremble a little when she said that.

Although she said it boldly but she didn't know if she could really do that. She couldn't imagine her life without Oliver anymore, what if he really didn't want her one day? Her life surely will become a joke.

"So you are willing to sacrifice your life for him, is it worth it Ava?" Sam said sadly. He didn't know how to convince Ava, he could see she was determined to be with Oliver Knight even if that destroyed her.

"Sam, let's not talk about this." Ava felt upset talking about all this with Sam. She never thought about the future, she liked to live in the present so these thoughts were making her uncomfortable. Besides she had a feeling that she would end up fighting with Sam if they keep having this conversation.

"OK. I respect your decision but I want you to know that, if one day you two broke up, you can always come to me. I'll be waiting for you." Sam said calmly.

"Sam, please don't. I really want you to find your own happiness. I know how I feel for you and that will never change. Please go out and find someone who is worth your love, there are so many good girls in the world who could love you just the way you want. Please don't wait for me." Ava said seriously trying hard to make Sam understand that's what she wanted for him.

"As you said, there are so many good people in the world then why do you have to be with Oliver Knight?" Sam still didn't want to give up.

"Because I've fallen in love with him and there's no turning back," Ava said with a bright smile.

"Me too. I fell in love with you even before you fell in love with him. We have known each other for years and we are more familiar with each other." Sam's eyes deepened but there was ridicule in them.

He wanted to laugh at himself, to him Ava was different from the moment he saw her first. Even though he didn't know what love was back then but now he knows that he fell in love with Ava at first sight.

"Just because we are familiar doesn't mean we will fall in love with each other. Sam, some people can only be friends in life, if you try to force another relation it might ruin the existing relationship."

"How do you know if you don't try?" Sam said stubbornly.

"It won't work out even if you try, so why waste your time?" Ava said harshly, now she was getting impatient.

The air suddenly quieted down around them. Sam looked at Ava dejectedly and said, "Ava, I am sorry if what I said today was making you upset. I just wanted you to know that there is someone in this world who would always love you and wait for you. It's my bad luck that you don't feel the same way but I still want us to be friends and stay in contact."

"OK," Ava said with a bright smile. Her pure and clear eyes flashed a trace of gratitude.

This smile finally made Sam understand why he was so attracted to Ava because there were purity and innocence in her smile just childlike and it was captivating. Looking at her smile Sam was even more determined to wait for her. He was sure that Oliver and Ava wouldn't last anyway, so when that happens Sam would surely snatch Ava without any hesitation.
