Melody, his first love

Today, Oliver didn't go to work. He went to the cemetery to pay a visit to his ex-girlfriend. Melody Parker, who was his first love and the reason for his existence. She was the only person who was able to capture his heart with her pure heart and innocence almost seven years ago. After she was gone he never thought he could fall in love again but against his will he did, he fell in love with the only person he was not supposed to.
The purple star at the cemetery, Oliver left them there. Oliver remembered what day was today, he couldn't sleep all night. In the early morning at 6 o'clock, he went to the cemetery to wish her. When she was alive she used to say after she dies, never to visit her on her death anniversary she wanted her loved ones to visit her on the birthday, that will keep her alive in their mind. So he has been visiting her every year on her birthday for the last 5 years.
After Oliver came back from the cemetery at noon, he locked himself on the room third floor, the one with a white door and golden frame. He has been keeping all her memories locked in this room, the violin Melody used to play, all the photos of her he had taken before she died, all were there. Not only that, with great effort, he had even managed to find some of her childhood photos, her stationery, books, and clothes that were owned by Melody. On top of that, the gifts he had bought for her all these years all were in this room, except for the Violin in the bedroom.
Oliver was holding the tassel brooch of twin star in his palm, that he bought for her from the United States. Stars always reminded him of Melody, they used to watch stars together all night and talk about their future. That's why Oliver was angry at Ava when she wanted to see the stars with him. Oliver closed his eyes and tried to remember the first time he saw her.
That year, Melody was 17 years old and was in her senior year, Oliver had been studying in the United States, he just came back home for summer vacation. On his way home from the airport, Oliver heard a woman playing the violin in the open air at Crystal Street square for a charity program. The tune she was playing happened to be Chopin's Nocturne, which was Oliver's favorite, so he was immediately captivated by the tune. Oliver asked the driver to stop the car, and he stood far away in the crowd and stared at the girl on the stage.
The sun was shining on her back and her hair was tied in a high ponytail, which was flying with the wind. Oliver still remembered clearly, that day Melody was wearing a red dress, her soft fingertips touched the strings and send out beautiful tune after tune. After Nocturne, she played Canon in a happy rhythm, he thought she portrayed the perfect picture of the two tunes. Her simple appearance and the way she played seriously with closed eyes, imprinted on Oliver's heart deeply. He smiled and thought maybe that's called the legendary 'love at first sight.'
However, he didn't get to meet her on that day, he just stood there quietly, enjoyed her music, and applauded for her. Oliver was also a professional violinist and he had superb piano skills. He would practice every day however, he couldn't keep up with that hobby when he started to take over Knight International's responsibility. Still, he would occasionally play whenever he had time. So he could tell by the way this woman was playing, that she had been learning since childhood and her skills were as good as him.
After that summer vacation, Oliver returned to the United States without knowing who Melody was. He hadn't come back again to China for the next six months. When he visited again, at that time, a game called "the city of the sky" was very popular in China. Oliver didn't have any interest in online games, but Arvin was crazy about games so he sometimes accompanied him to play. Coincidentally, one day he came across a familiar face and that's how he met Melody in the game again, he thought it must be fate that they keep crossing each other's path.
Melody only played on Saturday because she was always busy with study, but whenever she was online, Oliver would immediately go online to play with her. After playing with her a few times they developed a tacit understanding and started to talk to each other. In the game, Oliver didn't use his real ID so no one knew his true identity, including Melody. But Melody as simple as she was, used her real id with her own picture that's how Oliver recognized her. Over time, they got to know each other more and started to talk almost every day. Melody often mentioned her best friend Ava to Oliver but he never saw Ava's picture. He was just familiar with the name.
Several times, Oliver came back to China without letting anyone know to only meet Melody. At that time, Melody was preparing for her college entrance exam, so Oliver didn't want to distract her with relationship pressure. They would just spend time together get to know each other more, play music, and talk about their future. Melody agreed to be official with Oliver after the entrance exam.
On the day of her entrance exam, she promised to meet him, and Oliver decided to tell her about his real identity. However, she got into that accident and he never got the chance to tell her.
