2B's POV

"The machines are sure taking their time." said Creed

"They may be planning on something." I said

"I know that's why I'm feeling a bit uneasy." replied Creed, "Can't we strike?"

"That'll be reckless." I said

"Right, I just feel so stiff laying here." said Creed

He adjusted his position, he has been laying on his stomach for the past 4 hours looking into these binoculars through a hole we made in the edge. I leaned against the edge of the edge of the roof and just watched Creed looking into his binoculars.

"Hey Creed, after this I have a few things to show you." I said

"Really? I mean is it important?" he asked

"Well, I forgot about it for about a year since you never came." I said

"Sorry sorry." apologized Creed in a funny way

I smiled and patted his head.

"But what is it?" he asked

"Some clothes I designed with Avery and A2." I said

"Clothes? That sounds exciting." smiled Creed, "I can't wait to see."

Creed chuckled and looked at me.

"I get my own personal fashion show." he said while smiling

"It's only two sets with a couple of here and there outfits." I said

"It's fine, I'm glad you made clothes to show me." he replied, "You know I realized that there's no date."

"We have the year." I replied

"Yea but like what month is it and all dates. I've been gone for exactly 2 years and 14 days." he said, "I've seen hot days and snowy days."

"Snowy?" I questioned

Creed looked at me with a smile and an eyebrow raised.

"You don't know what snow is?" he asked

I shook my head and Creed chuckled a bit.

"Snows when the rain freezes and it turns into these white flakes, it's really fun and beautiful." said Creed, "Maybe we'll see one when we go on a journey."

"Would that be our little date?" I asked

"Yea it will be." he replied while smiling

Creed went back to looking into his binocular but then he slightly gasped.

"2B look at this." he said

He handed me his binoculars while he grabbed the sniper rifle. I laid on my stomach and looked at the Forest Kingdom and saw birds flying out of the trees.

"Something's coming." I said, "Pod!"

"On it." replied Pod 042

He started contacting the platoons and I saw them all getting into their positions.

"I see the machines, I see them." said Creed

Creed began firing at the machines.

"2B go, you have to help them." said Creed

I nodded and gave his binoculars back to him and jumped off the roof and doubled jumped in the air and landed safely on my feet.

I ran to my platoon and once I got there my platoon started engaging. I could see the difference now since the platoons have more androids which means more guns. The androids were actually able to hold the machines at a certain point, bodies of machines were piling up.

"This seems to be a one sided fight." said Ken

"Don't get so cocky." replied Josiah, "Creed taught us to always be aware of your surroundings."

I smiled remembering I taught him those words.

'Not only are you a great lover, you're a great student.'

Ella, the archer shot three bows at the same time and the arrows exploded upon impact.

"I never used these guns but these are nice." said Koi

"Creed invented those for us." excitedly said Nines

"Nines please focus on the battle." I scolded him

"Sorry 2B." he quickly apologized

That's when the tanks rolled up but our mortar squad took them out. But then flyers began to fly towards us, I haven't seen one in so long and we don't have a flight unit with us.

"What the fuck are those?!" gasped an android

It began firing at us but then the pilot was shot and it began to fall towards us.

"Get back!" I yelled

I watched as everyone got up and began to run away frantically but Ella tripped and fell. So I ran up to her and picked her up and ran away.

"S-sorry." apologized Ella

I didn't respond as I put her down and the androids fired at the incoming machines and flyers. Assuming it's Creed who's taking out the pilots the flyers began to fall onto the streets but the machines overtook our first blockade.

"Incoming transmission." said Pod 042

"Send it through!" I yelled

"2B fall back to the second blockade, I had a team working on explosives on the streets, get back!" he yelled

"Fall back!" I yelled

My platoon began to run back, we met up with the other platoons and we all crossed the street and returned fire at the second blockade.

"Ethan blow it!" yelled Creed through the transmission

Ethan pushed the lever but nothing happened.

"Creed it's not working!" he yelled

"I'll be down there, hold them off!" he yelled

"What do you mean you'll be down here?" I asked

No response so I tried reaching out but he didn't reply until I saw Creed outside on the street.

"Creed!" I yelled

He was shooting at one of the machines as it approached him.

"Covering fire!" yelled Jackass

Creed quickly got on one knee and out his gun aside and began doing something.

"Ethan I need the wire!" he yelled

Ethan grabbed a rolled up string of wire and threw it to Creed and it caught it and began to fix it. But then I saw a machine run up to him so Creed pulled out his side arm and began firing but with no effect.

I summoned my spear and threw it at the machine, impaling it and falling down next to Creed. I decided to run up to him to help and pulled out my spear from the dead machine.

"I told you not to do anything reckless!" I yelled at him

"Sorry I forgot to teach them how to rewire it!" yelled Creed

Creed began to tighten a wire together and he threw the other end of the wire to Ethan.

"Get inside the building!" yelled Creed

Everyone who was lined up outside the building went inside, once we got inside Creed stopped Ethan from pushing the lever.

"Wait for my signal." he said

I assumed he ran back to his roof so we were busy covering fire.

"Keep the pressure on them!" yelled Jackass

But since it was an open street, there was more ground to cover for the machines allowing them to spread out and enter the street.

"Creed when do we pull it?" asked Ethan

"Creed's not even here." said Havoc

"Creed when can we blow it?" I asked through the transponder

"On your command, I know you'll know when to blow it up." he replied

I knew what he meant so I waited until the machines actually crossed the street. But then tanks showed up with more flyers.

"Ma'am!" yelled Ethan

"Not yet!" I yelled

"2B we have to blow it up now!" yelled Nines

"I said not yet!" I yelled back

I watched patiently until the tanks got onto the street with the flyers on top of them.

"Now!" I yelled

Ethan pushed the lever and the entire street exploded, the impact was so strong I actually struggled to stand up straight.

Everything was destroyed, the street was now just gone and the machines were blown up to pieces.

"Advance!" yelled Jackass

First, second and third platoon began to move up killing any machine that survived. It was hard to see through the smoke but we went straight through it and saw the remaining machines scramble away back into the Forest Kingdom.

"Casualty?" I asked Pod 042

"Zero android casualties, one injured, 150 machines are dead." replied Pod 042

"Sorry about that I could have gotten someone killed." said Creed through the transmission.

"No don't worry, we would have lost more if you didn't come. But at the same time we nearly lost you." I scolded him

"Sorry sorry, won't happen again." he said, "I'll teach the bombing team right now."

"Good, I don't want to see you risking your life like that again." I said

"I won't, I promise." replied Creed

A minute later Creed came down and began teaching some of the androids how to rewire the bomb.

"Look over here, there's two wires you mess up it either explodes on your face or it won't explode in general." said Creed

Watching Creed teach the androids brought me some joy and happiness, it reminds me of all the experiences we had together.

"Ethan, you have to wrap the end of these wires onto these two metal dots that are sticking out. If you don't it won't detonate and everything will go to waste." said Creed, "Josiah, if the wire gets cut, you're going to have to rewire that part by wrapping those two ends together."

After Creed finishes teaching he approaches me and sighs.

"What are those flying things? I've never seen one of those." said Creed

"Those are flyers, machine units that patrol the sky. I haven't seen one in a long time." I said

Creed approached a damaged one and began examining it.

"I might be able to rewire this but for now I have an idea to take these out." said Creed

He leads me to the roof of a building.

"We're going to have to make them fly this low, from there we can have some androids stationed here and fire upon the incoming flyers. Or we can use something that I made while I was gone, wait here I'll bring it." said Creed

Creed jogs off and comes back with a giant gun that had some kind of metal arrow looking thing sticking out of it.

"Is that a grappling hook?" I asked

"Yes, that way we can use the string as a wire like a trap." said Creed

"Demonstrate." I said

"So let's say a flyer is coming in, at the perfect timing I can shoot the grappling hook at the other building and then the flyer would fly straight into the string. This can damage the flyer but the tricky part is the end of this string has to be held on tightly." said Creed

"If I only had my flight unit, it'd be so much easier." I sighed

"Flight units? You were a pilot?" asked Creed

"Every android has their own flight unit." I replied

"Whoa, that's cool." awed Creed, "I always wanted to be in the sky."

"I would take you on with me but my flight unit was damaged permanently." I replied

"Damn, maybe it'll have to wait." said Creed

"If I can fix it." I said

Creed nodded and he began gathering a squad from each platoon to teach them what to do.

"Oh and I nearly forgot." said Creed

He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small ball with a pin.

"This is called a frag grenade, we used it a lot back in my days." said Creed, "Here watch."

He pulls the pin and throws it into the air but when he does that, another piece of metal comes off the grenade. I watched as it landed on the ground but nothing happened.

"What's supposed to happen?" I asked

But then it exploded and it surprised me a lot, such a small thing can make a huge explosion.

"Okay now here's the tricky part. Here you see the pin?" asked Creed as he showed me and the others.

"Yea." replied an android

"You can pull it but you can also put it back in." said Creed

He pulled it but puts it back in

"It doesn't blow up, but when you release the lever that's when the countdown starts." said Creed

"How long does it take the grenade to detonate?" I asked

"Around 5 seconds but I advise you not to cook, cooking it means holding onto it even after taking off the lever. It can explode early and it is not fun when it explodes early." said Creed

Everyone nods and gets back to their station.

"This grenade, will help us a lot." said Creed

He smiled but then he suddenly started coughing again and he fell onto his knees. I quickly bent down and hugged him as he continued coughing, blood spilling on the floor.

"Sorry..." whispered Creed

He wiped the blood off of his mouth.

"Get some rest." I whispered
