Raiders of the Lost Settlement

Minerva, was the first to spot the Wildings. She first spotted a group of 5 scouts on the outer edges of the forest.

"*Sonrus* Alright everyone we have been preparing for days now, you now the drills. Phalanx (200) position Infront of the entrance on the East side, on each side of the entrance we have 25 archers shooting down into the groups, and a warning in advance two of my men are going to be joining you on each tower protecting you from enemy fire. While sneak around back and pick off those in the rear and do not panic when the fire starts. Now MOVE we have wildings to kill."

I would love to say that we moved in a uniform march all in step but it was more of a rabble. While Lydia and I went over the wall me in Eagle for her changing into a Eagle with Polymorph. While the mages Alke and Alfhild put up anti "missile" areas around the defense, while Arvid was making sure everyone was using the right equipment and keeping moral up.

60 of the wildings moved their way up to the wall while a smaller group stayed moved to the north side with bows and torchers presumably to try and burn down part of the village. Once the smaller group moved farther away Lydia and I strike, I cast *Vegg Av Ild* a wall of fire appeared Infront of the group while Lydia and I dropped polymorph then picked off the group with piercing and cutting curses while Lydia used a great sword and cut them down.

While Lydia and I fought the burning party, Arvid was leading the major defense initiative.

Arvid- "When I say thrust you thrust, when I say throw you throw. Now hold tight everyone here they come"

As the wildings charge charge Arvid commanded the archers and mage to fire, thus a wave of arrows and fireballs dentate into the crowed. this slows their charge and some even begin to retreat. Arvid demands them to hold as Lydia and I arrived to cast *Vegg Av Ild* walling them in forcing the wildings to charge the Phalanx which with the help of the archers killed the last of the raiders.

Most of the next day was spent clearing the gates and the dead looking for anything that can be sold. All the villagers agreed to not keep any survivors from the wildings, as for losses with the help of the mages and local healers we just have a number of people bed ridden. Now I just have to finalize the deal with Elder Asmund and explain my use of magic.

As for magic, magic can be broken down into passive and active. Passive is; runes, enchanted weapons, and potions. Anyone can carve runes or brew potions, but to shoot lighting or summon fire balls must have active magic. To be able to use active magic your must have grown up or conceived in an area with a large amount of magic present or your parents must have active magic. You for example can carve or charge runes, but you could not more than a small spark of active magic."

The following days were spent "receiving" the new clan member i.e. summons, next selecting the education which is runes.

For summons, for the production 1 master class Magical and Mundane Smith who has knowledge to make everything from bronze to blast furnaces, as for the magical aspect he knows how to make simple enchantments like sharping all the way to fate Excalibur level. 1 Ship builder who can make longships all the way to ships of the line but with the help of the smith she can modern vessels. As for the magical part she can enchant it to repel water to faster, expand the cargo hold, lighting repelling, and locating beacon, 1 Farmer who along with knowing all modern farming techniques for mundane and magical, he knows how a variety of wards and rituals to improve yield, keep away insects, and monitoring water level. The warriors and mages were summoned to guard the new general 50 general wizards and witches for settling along with seeds for mundane and magical plants, more advanced farming equipment, work animals.

As housing with the help of the Eskigarðr villagers and ample use of magic we where able to get 25 homes built, in time for the planting season to begin. which both the magical and mundane where out in full force. The wizards used a Icelandic ritual to fertilize the soil and soften it for ease of planting and plowing. The villagers where apprehensive at first but after they saw the new plows and seed rill they were really excited.

Eskigarðr village planted their normal crops of wheat and barley, but we convinced them to us 4 field crop rotation so addiction to the cereal crops they planted turnips and cabbages, I even bought seeds for it to assuage fears.

As for the magical we planted Wheat, Alfalfa Grass, Potatoes, and a field of cash crops like cotton, lavender, and a variety of magical ingredients.

After we finished the plating we began construction in eeriest, First my home was built which was designed off the Falkreath Jarl home as for the wall was upgraded to be able to have people patrol along the top, and to have better watch towers, which alerted us that Lord Glover's men had finally arrived.

Sigrun: A Clydesdale that was Halvard's first purchase from the system. Is as dumb as a regular horse.
