New Reality

As soon as I woke up, I was transferred to this weird place. It was so sudden that it made my mind couldn’t come up with any form of idea as this strange phenomenon was nothing I never heard or experienced, but I quickly gather my composure. Then, I realized, I was not the only one. To be honest, these are the things that I only read through novels and fantasy books but experiencing it myself wasn’t what I really wanted. Not even once. Reading was something I loved as it was fun. To others, it may be a time where they get out from harsh reality but that’s life, you face a lot of hardships. But strange. Why? Why am I here? No, why are we here? What’s our purpose for coming here? At least put a warning that I will get to go to another world! Just me is good! Questions formed which made me quite nervous but I calm myself down, as being nervous will be only a hinder to my thinking. I breathe. “First, let’s assume this is real.” After thinking so, I began to form a little plan inside my head. Preparing like a normal person would do when this kind of thing happens. I executed my plan in my head before waiting. As the timer was tickling down and thought that after its number’s hits zero, all of us are going back to our daily lives. [0:00] But it didn’t happen. After I saw what happened to that man with his head being sliced, the simple plan I had was crushed in an instant. Yet, that one act was enough for me to realize one simple thing. The thing is… it was a bitter pill to swallow. “This is real…” I was only assuming that it is but…it's just unfair. “There’s no going back…” … It doesn’t matter if you go back in time… It doesn’t matter if you’re a genius or an outstanding fighter… It doesn’t matter what challenges I will encounter… I will succeed, find answers to everything, and survive… Until everything ends. *** : Cover not mine. Just edited small things on it. If you're the owner, just tell me if you wanted it removed. : Keeping the story's setting simple as this is my first book. : So yeah, everyone who had read the novel regressor instruction manual would notice the large similarity in the first few chapters of mine and it is because I'm a fan of that novel, but I would tell it now as I think it should be known to you guys. Informing should be the right thing to do. : Although I have a cliche setting, I'll at least try something original. : Hey, if you're reading this, try to read now! Maybe some of you love a mind-blowing chapter one but I don't have that in my novel, instead, I'll make it good for the future chapters I will be making. Anyway, thank you for taking your time, and go read it!

Regressor

"Would you like to come with me? I mean to all of us?" The man said with an impassive voice.

Hearing it, Gin didn't hide his questioning gaze at the man and said inwardly, 'Follow you? What are you talking about?'

Seeing the man is not moving, Gin began to speak in a low voice, "We are leaving young man. Got a problem with that?"

It was then Gin noticed the man lost focus as he saw him glancing at the bag that Grey is bringing. He was having an expression of person seeing a treasure just bringing casually onto someone's back.

A second later, the man came back on his senses and continued to speak, "N-No. I don't have a problem with that. But, isn't it dangerous to go with just you two?"

Clearly seeing it, Gin had doubts that turn into clues. It was then he noticed what this bastard is aiming for. Gin inwardly said, 'Hmm... how dare you look at my food? Although you save my life, I never ask it in the first place. And, that doesn't mean I owe you something. So screw you.'

It was then half of the people started to look at the two who are talking. From what they can tell, the handsome blonde man is asking the black-haired man to go together with them.

"Look handsome." Gin paused while peeking at the timer. He continued, "We only have a measly 6 minutes to escape. Some already have already left because how can we escape when we only have a few seconds left? Hmm... answer me."

He didn't hide his annoyance and said it in a loud tone. But as he did it, he saw the people start to listen to their conversation and tried to get closer. He could even see some start to recover and begin to do the same.

He would lovely leave right away but he needed the man to speak to it first. He saves his life for goodness sake.

Gin waited for it patiently but to his surprise, the man did differently.

He bowed his head and shouted, enough for the crowd to hear, "Please! Come with us! I think if we're together, there's a higher chance of surviving! The food you had also taken is many! We should share it together, you know!"

When the man shouted, Gin was taken aback and moved back a little. It was then followed by the people's murmur. Then, they started to talk about the people beside them and some even started to notice the importance of the situation.

Then, the eyes of the people look greedily at Grey's bag, which is full of food. It is so full, that some food started to fall off.

"Yes, mister! We should be together! Right?"

"Yes!"

"Especially the food! We all need to share it!"

"The mister is right!"

"Sharing is caring!"

'T-those bastards…' Gin said inwardly, regretting his decision not to leave the place right away. He then looked at the man in front and glared at him.

Gin look at his sides and saw Grey nodding his head repeatedly. He doesn't even have a clue about what the people are saying.

'They're going to steal our food, Grey! This kid...!' Gin shouted inwardly before looking at the man.

Weirdly enough, the man continued to bow his head like he was pleading. It was then, Gin saw small drops of blood was dripping at the ground

'Oy, oy, oy. You're biting your lips? Why do you feel guilty now? What's this... you're the one who started who makes this scene and your guilty? Hah, how funny...' Gin scoffed the man inwardly.

Gin wanted to give a little amount of food for him, as compensation for saving his let. But now he was asking it to share with everyone, Gin can't help but be suspicious. 'What's your motive bastard?'

[Truth Eyes- See Through-has been activated]

Activating his eyes to see the man's status window, the suspicion he had become doubt that made him freeze on his place. Looking at his status window. he really felt like he was seeing something absurd.

'How is this… possible? No, wait. Everything happening right now is also felt unreal, but this …Ha-haha-hahaha. I must be going crazy… What a cliché…'

Seeing it, Gin decided to choose the best decision.

"Ok, we'll go with you." Gin said with a serious tone as he calm his beating heart. On the other hand, he didn't see Grey's face brightening up on the side.

The man lifts his head up with a faint surprise on his face. He really thought that doing it would make Gin leave but he was glad that whatever reason they had, they decided to go together.

He smiled faintly and said happily, "…thank you, then we'll be preparing now."

"I see… Oh hey. What's your name?" Gin asked while the man stop his tracks, glancing back at Gin.

Although Gin knows it, he wanted to hear it from the mouth of the man. Besides, he thinks that getting involved with this man will ensure his safety.

The man lowly open his lips, saying. "Nash. Nash Foster. And you mister?"

Hearing the man's name, Gin does the same, "Gin. Gin Frest. Nice to meet you."

The man, Nash, nodded slightly before he said, "Then, I should tell the people to prepare now. Don't worry, you all will be safe. That is something that I can assure."

Hearing it, the people near him started to give thanks

"Thank you for saving us inside."

"Yes, thank you, young man."

"Yeah, thank you for saving us. Please protect us."

Grey does the same as Nash. He bring the bag on his back down and started to help the people packing. On the other hand, Gin is on the side, activating his eyes while intently looking at Nash.

He tried to use it again but it was the same thing that keeps appearing. Gin finally decided to stop it since nothing would change if he did it. But still, he felt amazement on his heart.

Besides, everything is possible since he's now in the new world.

'Good thing these eyes show only the truth.' Gin said inwardly before looking slowly at Nash's Status Window.

[Now this is what you called the Main Character. Just look at those godly stats. Even though we are just in the tutorial, his stats are on a league of some others outside. And he's a Regressor too! How lucky you are to bump someone like that. But… Unlike you who is trash… there's nothing you could do. So just die.]

Although the insult of the evaluation would hurt anyone, Gin didn't it and just focused his mind on the word 'regressed'.

'It's just like the main character's on one's novel but here, I'm actually seeing one. Sigh, regressed huh. So, it's like there's a first timeline? If so, does something happen in there? Wait, why did he go back in the first place? before that, who is this god?'

The questions on his head keep piling up. That's when he thought something really important about this. 'What happen to 'me' on that timeline? Ah, shit… so many crazy things are happening today.'

Gin calms his mind a bit, deactivating his eyes after. He crossed his arms and just watch the two men helping the people pack.

'Is it worth it to save this people regressor?' Gin said as no answer appeared on his mind.

After a minute of preparing, Nash quickly called Gin, who is at the side, watching him and the people.

"Mr. Frest. We're ready. We should go." Nash urgently said.

"I see." Gin nodded and stretch out his hands in the air.

He then uses his hands to remove the specks of dust on his clothes before looking at the screen, which has a timer on it.

"Then, let's go—huh." Gin stopped when he thought that something is wrong. After a few seconds of thinking, he finally notices what the problem is.

'Go to where?'

Gin turned his face at the side and ask the thing he was curious about, "Uhm… Nash. Where exactly we'll be going? Do you have a place in mind?"

"Ahh… that?" Nash paused.

He then continued with an anxious tone. "I think we should talk while we're running. We only have five minutes at most to leave. I'll tell them some instructions to the people first, Mr. Frest."

Hearing him, Gin nodded and said, "Sure, no problem. And, stop calling me 'Mr. Frest'. I think we only have a little age gap. Just call me Gin."

Listening to him, Nash nodded slightly and said, "Call me Nash then."

After it, he began to tell the people about everything they needed to do.

"So, do you have a place in mind to shelter these people?" Gin started to ask fist while running.

"Yes Gin. I have a place that I know. If you follow me, you and the others will not be lost." Nash answered.

Hearing it, Gin smiled faintly and decided to tease him a little bit. "Hmm… you seem to know this place even though we have just gotten out from that big cave."

Hitting the right spot, Nash slightly flinched. Gin didn't miss the reaction as he was intently looking at the regressor from the start. Although he saw him reacting like that, the expression on his face didn't change.

Although his face would hide it, his mind can't.

And then, he started to stutter.

"You see I- no. How do I explain this? Uhm… actually have a…" Nash said while stuttering. He couldn't even finish the sentence and continued to think the way out of this problem.

Enough of his teasing, Gin smiled faintly and said, "I'm joking, Nash. I think I can trust someone if it's you. If you don't want it to tell us because it is really important, then don't. If by chance it was your attribute, then you absolutely don't really have to tell it to me."

Hearing Gin, Nash drew a slight smile and said, "Ah, I see. You're right. Thanks, Gin."

Suddenly, a voice could be heard at their backs, disturbing the two. "Wow getting friendly Hyung, eh?"

Grey paused and looked at the side, "Hello, my name is Grey. Grey Flinn. I'm at a party with Hyung. Nice to meet you."

Grey squeezed between the two with his big body. The heaviness on his back has been reduced due to everyone helping him from bringing the food. He had a smile on his face while eyeing Nash.

"Yes, hello. I'm—"

"Yes. I know your Nash. Anyway, why is your face like that? You should smile Nash, Smile." Grey said while showing Nash how to smile.

He slowly pulled the tip of his lips, mimicking a person smiling happily.

"See? You should do this. Why do you look like that?" Grey said while still using his hands.

"Ah. I'm sorry. Out of habit. Hmm, Ok. Is this how you do this?" Nash then showed Grey a smile

It was then, the face of Grey changed into a shock one.

"Wow, Nash… are you that handsome? I think if I'm a girl, I'll fall in love with you instantly. That's right! You should smile like that to every girl you met!" Grey then said excitedly.

Watching them, he looked at the two who are talking to each other, it was most likely Grey that is talking, 'Oy, what are you doing to this man, Grey? Why are you teaching him something like that?'

After Grey finished telling his tips on Nash, He then turned his face at Gin and began to talk again about different kinds of stuff. He started with, "Hyung, I'm so happy that we're able to join—"

And then, Grey started to speak nonstop at Gin, who just listened to his gibberish. Nash, on the other hand, focuses the way he towards someplace while glancing every second at the two men beside him.
