Shuma-Gorath was quite for few moments seeing Leo smiling at him

'An anomaly indeed' He thought

Last time he had seen Leo, he was leaking a little amount of cosmic energy and spiritual energy which Shuma-Gorath had mistook as divinity

.

[Divinity(Marvel):- It's a combination of Cosmic, Spiritual and magical energy that can control certain laws of the world. That's the reasons why certain gods have certain divinities, they align themselves with some specific 'Law' when ascending or just becoming strong enough to weild the said 'Law' that's why those who have the right vessel(body, soul and mind) to hold that are gods. Body is obvious cause you need a container to hold that thing in place. Weak minds/Wills means they will succumb to madness under the pressure of the said 'Law' and Soul to handle the burden of using it. It's because of this connection that some gods lose their powers when they lose their 'Will' or the drive to continue. Of course gods got drunk on that power and got corrupted real quick. They enjoyed the fame a little too much and Gorr happened....so not a good thing in long run

Cosmic:- Body

Spiritual:- Soul

Magic:- Mind

It all works in unison

And for context purposes their domains can be interpreted as their area of expertise. Stronger the domain, stronger they are]

Now that he was seeing Leo again, he was mildly surprised

There was no energy leak, not even a peep. It was as if he wasn't even there

Shuma-Gorath also noticed he was too relaxed, as if taking a walk in a park

"Done with inner monologue?" Leo asked nonchalantly

[Yes...but tell me...Why should I listen to you?] He asked curiously

Leo just tilted his head to the side gesturing at the puddle

His message was simple

'I killed you once, I can do it again'

[You do realize I can't die here right?]

"Are you sure about that ?" Leo smirked and tapped the armrest of his chair lightly when

*Crunch*

Shuma-Gorath felt rules of his realm acting against his will but he was more astonished by the fact that he didn't see any magic circle or even a hint of magic from Leo.

The fact that he could bend the rules even without anyone knowing was a testament to his strength

He tried to reverse the gravity that was pressing on his form but alas, he got turned into a bloody paste

Leo calmly watched as his body being created from a single drop of blood and Shuma-Gorath was back within a blink of an eye

There was a tiny hint of respect in Shuma-Gorath's eye against such a worthy foe. But this just aroused his hunger for this vessel even more

[See?] He mocked Leo at his failed attempt before noticing a well cooked tentacle in his hand

'When?' He looked at his body and noticed few parts missing

He glanced back to Leo who had a smug look on his face while eating it

"I'm pretty sure you got my point but just in case I didn't make myself clear, let me ask you something" He waited for any response but didn't get any so he continued

"Are you just a beast that's even incapable of recognising danger...." he pasued releasing his aura making the whole world tremble

Shuma-Gorath narrowed his eye as Leo continued

"...Or are you a intelligent being capable of holding a conversation?"

Shuma-Gorath was angry at this insolence but didn't react to prove him right so he just kept quiet

[....Speak]

"Very well" Leo nodded and clapped his hand and..

"What do you want from me ?" Got straight to the point

This question made him consider his choices a little

[I did plan to take your body as a vessel and escape this....prison] He spat out the last bit with venom dripping from his tone

Shuma-Gorath still remembers the day when he was enjoying his meal while eating sacrifices and dinos when a Sorcerer appeared out of nowhere and sealed him saying something along the lines of 'You are a threat to the future'

Little did he know that doing this made sure he will be a threat

It's funny how prophecy works. The more you try to avoid it the more likely it's going to happen and ironically enough, you fulfil it by your own hands

*Scoffs*

'Foolish insect doomed himself' he scoffed before Leo waved his hand in front if his eye

"You there ?" He asked in amusement

"If so, then what was your plan after that ?" He got back to his seat with few drinks that appeared from thin air

[Leave this prison]

Leo gestured him to continue "And...?"

[Take over your world]

"And...?"

[Your dimension?]

Leo just gestured him to continue

[Rule the Universe?]

".....?"

[What more do you want from me ?]

"I don't know, maybe take over the Multiverse or something? then perhaps fight the beyo-" he pasued and looked around leaving Shuma-Gorath staring at him with suspicion

[What?]

Leo continued looking around before sighing in relief

"I thought I accidentally summoned the baldie, thankfully I didn't"

'Baldie?'

"So where were we....Yes prison" he raised his hand before counting "First, No I'm not handing you my body. Your ambitions are a straight up insult to me so nope ain't gonna happen"

"Second, Even if I free you, my world is off limits cause I still want to have a normal....well not so normal but atleast live this life before I decide what to do next"

Shuma-Gorath widened his eye at one part

[You said 'Free me']

Leo looked up at him "Yeah I know what I said"

[But why?]

Leo just shrugged and answered "Cause I want to?"

Shuma-Gorath was left speechless. He had to admit, this human had few screws lose perhaps he had no screws at all

How insane do you have to be to unleash a Eldritch horror just because you want to ?

Shuma-Gorath stared at him for few seconds before asking [Are you insane ?]

"You can't really deal with a elder god without having few screws lose can you?" Leo laughed a little

Shuma-Gorath narrowed his eye at him

'He's dangerous' he thought

He knew the most dangerous ones were the people who were maniacs. In his long life, he had come across such individuals more than once.

There was a time when a group called Avengers came to fight him in 'his' domain. Long story short, they died. He devoured their dimension into his own and since ruled it as his own

The spell was to keep him away from the Multiverse, trapped in some dimension which he made his own after some time and went on to become more and more powerful as he went on conquering other realities

Stronger ones managed to repel him. The weaker ones were not so lucky. With no one to defend them they were quickly turned into his own before he moved onto the next one

"Soooo we have a deal?"

Shuma-Gorath stared at Leo who for some reason was fidgeting around in anticipation

He looked at his hand before shaking it with his slimy tentacle

[Deal]

Leo kept the smile on his face but Shuma-Gorath felt it even though it only happened in a fraction of a second, he definitely felt it

Everything around them was destroyed and rebuilt in a blink and he saw Leo's face morph into something horrifying before it was back to normal

'Interesting' Shuma-Gorath muttered in his mind intrigued by what he just saw

'This is turning out to be more intresting than I thought'

"Okay then, now that a deals being struck, let's get you out of here" he got up and walked around only to pause and turn towards him

He scratched his head in embarrassment and asked "Uhhh...where are the nodes?"

Shuma-Gorath did a equivalent of a faceplam before pointing them out

Leo got to work in front of his bewildered eyes

He burned the nodes before absorbing them not even letting a little amount spill out

'It's fake' He thought while feeling the restrictions still there

'Two can play this game, let's see what he does'

And Shuma-Gorath did a classic mistake, he gave him time even when knowing everything he's currently seeing is fake. He just doesn't know how and is curious....curiosity killed the cat

Magic is much more than anyone knows but the spell itself was easy to break when you know few tricks to it

The way Sorcerers use magic is simple, they borrow specific energy from some being, use the said energy to form spells that interact with the universal rules and bend them or use them to their will.

But as always, equivalent exchange kicks in. So the more powerful a spells more energy required to perform it. Magic may have made it easy to interact with universal laws but it also upped the difficulty when it came to controlling it

And that's the reason why spells exists

Consider Universe or the entire Multiverse as a program and spells as specific codes that can alter the specific parts of that program

Of course there are no Universal or Multiversal spells and that's where Sorcerer Supreme come in

They have studied and master the arts of magic to the point where they can create spells that can affect the entire universe but again equivalent exchange so the price for each spell is enormous. Still doesn't change the fact that they can create spells

It is like starting a chain reaction that spirals up into a full blown large scale spell

There are only a certain few that have managed to perform incredible feats with Magic. Merlin being one of them

Magic is like a energy that allows one to mess with 'laws'or 'rules' of anything. It just gives users the access to being able to do.

Of course it also has it's own 'language', it's own 'rules' and it's own restrictions

[Marvel]Fun fact:- Certain civilizations have their own magic system. Although the basics are same but it starts to branch off at higher levels. Some spells marked as 'dark' by human Sorcerers are common to them ....different logic and different world views

[Now what?]

"Now you are free" Leo smiled making Shuma-Gorath narrow his eye at him

[Stop pretending]

"I'm not?"

[You can drop the act, it's not fooling anyone]

"What a- Argh!"

He suddenly fell on his knees in pain as black veins started spreading from his head to his body

"What...is this?!" He screamed while clawing his chest and rampaging around

[Seed of corruption, bold of you to assume I will ever let you go]

Shuma-Gorath just watched with plain gaze as he continued slamming his head

"But I freed you!!" Leo snarled in between screaming

[You did....and I will spare your world, you have my word] He spoke with pity before snickering

[A word of advice brat, never trust any elder god no matter now benevolent they may seem, even Gaea, she's the worst of the bunch] He spat in disgust

He turned his gaze away from the berserk thing to the ever bright sky before saying

[How long are you planning to watch this charade brat ?]

-Shuma-Gorath POV-

"Ohh I thought you would enjoy it?" An amusing voice echoed throughout the world we're on before the a hand emerges causing ripples to spread in the space around it

The brat walks out of it after waving it apart like curtains

I knew something wasn't right with how easily he took the prison down it is almost impossible to do so, been there done that not to mention I didn't even feel the seed activate

[So I take it you found it amusing?]

He stares at the 'copy' in the front before nodding with crossed arms

"It was for a time, before you activated this thing" he tossed something at me that I caught

It is the seed that I left in his mind that last time before he burned 'me' away

Seed of Corruption:- A seed made by any entity (not necessarily evil) to control the target. The seed spreads in their mindscape slowly changing their personality and everything about them until they become whatever the seed's creator wants them to be. In Shuma-Gorath's case they become him

.

An admirable feat in my opinion. Last time it took two human mages to halt my awakening and from what I gathered, they were best of their world. Sadly for them, they couldn't hold me and before long their world became mine

.

Yao of one dimension tried to hold him off by sealing him in his mind when tries to take over their dimension but Strange at the end had to kill him. Sadly their attempts failed when Shuma-Gorath emerged from Strange himself. Even though Strange thought he could stop him by killing himself he failed and that's how Shuma-Gorath took over that reality

[Why did you do it?]

His actions are illogical and confusing and from the short encounter I had, I know he is anything but that

He looked down as if pondering about it before answering

"I was curious"

[You had my curiosity now, you have my attention] I turn my gaze towards him as he shrugs [About what?]

"What choice you'll make" he replies with a grin making me raise my metaphorical brow

That didn't make any sense

[Why are you doing this? No...what do you gain from this ?]

His ever present smile dissapears and turns into a blank look

"I gain nothing from this....perhaps a well directed story but that's out of question now"

[Story?] This just keeps getting more and more intresting

"Yeah, my sisters love a good story" his gaze softens as he looks as if reminiscing about something

Well, got his weakness

-3rd pov-

Shuma-Gorath saw his smiling face before lifting a tentacle and showing something

[You know what this is ?]

Leo took a quick glance at the thing before sighing in defeat

He just replied with a neutral tone "...I know"

It was a miniature copy of Earth

"If my guess is right, you're about to threaten me with that with something along the lines of 'Let me take over your body and I will leave your world intact, refuse and I will end this' ...am I right ?" He finished with a blank look

[....Yes, so I take it you are giving up?]

"No"

Shuma-Gorath obviously threatened him [I will destroy it]

"Go ahead, I'll just make another one" he replied casually while creating a earth of his own

Shuma-Gorath stilled at the copy before dismissing his 'Did not see that coming'

[Okay, but what about the army that I sent to capture your people? Will that change your mind ?]

Leo just waved his hand and showed a scene of his army annihilated by wolves led by a hill sized wolf along side another wolf which was stronger despite it's small size

He narrowed his eye at that before he noticed something [Those are not my servants]

He turned towards Leo and asked [What have you done?]

"Nothing at all, although you have to be more specific"

Shuma-Gorath just motioned towards the screen

"Oh that...that's just something that would've happened if you sent them there"

[That's..]

"A possibility, same as the one you saw before"

The moment he said that, the world dimmed for Shuma-Gorath

Everything turned dark with multiple screens surrounding them

Shuma-Gorath watched each of them with curious gaze before shooting a questioning look at Leo who smiled and explained

"These are the choices and consequences that may happen depending on what you do next"

Shuma-Gorath saw almost infinite screens each displaying different results of what could happen

He even saw a screen where he had successfully taken over Leo's body and caused mayhem in Multiverse before being stopped by a man in blue and a small team of Avengers while some other displayed him getting absorbed by a giant humanoid figure clad in some armor with horns on his head and a human with red cape trying to stop him which he recognised as that sorcerer Strange

Some displayed Leo winning their fight sometimes without a scratch and some surviving by a thread

Of course there were some that ended in mutual destruction with his rest of kin taking advantage of their defeat and gaining their powers before starting another war amongst them

[Where are my servants and followers?]

"Ate them" he replied with a innocent smile

Shuma-Gorath stayed silent for a while before speaking

[.....It's inevitable isn't it ?]

Leo closed all the screens and they were back to reality

"It is" he nodded while floating away from Shuma-Gorath

[Who goes first?]

"You do, it's your 'world' after all" he shrugged before raising his hand "Drink Nozarashi"

With a wave of his hand a weapon appeared

It was a great axe/war cleaver hybrid with a long, handle covered in cloth. The top of the blade has a brass cover with a green tassel attached to the backside.

He held it over his shoulder and stood few meters away from Shuma-Gorath who watched the blade with interest

[We are going with that choice are we?]

"Yup"

[Even when you can use magic?]

"Now where's the fun in that?"

He had a savage grin as he swung Nozarashi around and pointed it towards him

[I still see no appeal with this savagery]

"Just get on with it will ya?" Leo groans with impatience itching for a fight

They both stopped talking and tension rose between them.....

.....before all hell broke lose

Everything turned into sharp spikes that surrounded Leo from every direction with no room to dodge

He smirked before lifting Nozarashi and with single swing everything turned to dust

[You really are going to drag me to that level aren't you?]

"Of course, you're getting fat, move a little"

[I am a eye with tentacles, I do not get fat] He deadpaned at Leo who had a mocking grin

"Oh yeah? Fight melee than we'll talk"

[So be it]

Shuma-Gorath's entire form got covered in blades of various sizes with each of his numerous tentacles having sharp spikes at the ends

"Okay that looks like a overkill" Leo gulped looking at the menacing form earing a scoff from Shuma-Gorath

[You asked for it]

And with that their small but really destructive battle began once again

To the normal eye it would only appear as if they were standing still with their bodies appearing a little bit faint and almost blurred

That was a illusion caused by their speed. Both of them were moving so fast that it looked like they didn't even move...if one ignored occasionally appearing rifts and sky splitting from time to time

*Ting!**Swish**Clang**Crash**Bang!**Crack**Boom!*

Sounds of blades clashing echoed throughout the world with large shockwaves emerging after each clash

Air ripped and ground cracked before being destroyed by their blades

Leo had a maniacal grin on his face as moved Nozarashi around as if it was a feather, faster and faster with each clash while Shuma-Gorath was also enjoying this despite getting his body parts hacked every 2 seconds

Imagine attacking someone uncountable time in millionth of a second. That's how fast they were going and that speed was increasing as they let go of their limitations

One blink and the world they were standing on was already slashed to bits not to mention the aftermath of their clash was destroying the surrounding stars causing bright explosions once in a while

...

Now for all those that are wondering

What the fuck is going on?

Here's a little explanation to the stuff happening above

If life was a movie, imagine what would happen if someone gave you the full story of how it'll go

Leo did something similar to him

He basically gave him all the spoilers regarding his life and how it'll go

Of course this wouldn't have worked but he did few things

First he broke the illusion Shuma-Gorath had. He considered himself Immortal cause no one managed to kill him

Well, they were using the wrong ways to kill him

Leo being from the outside knows too many things, one of them, is how to kill immortals...depending on the type of course

So when he seperated that tentacle and ate it, that's when reality hit Shuma-Gorath harder than Truck-kun cause he couldn't regenerate that part even when he tried to use his god like powers

Leo had deleted that part out of existence as if it was never there

He did it by cutting that part from Shuma-Gorath's soul

[Here's where it gets intresting

In Marvel there are beings that can control soul of others but there isn't a single being (if there is tell me) capable of controlling their own souls. Sure they can absorb soul/spiritual energy from others and make themselves powerful but they can't do the things like dividing their souls and creating copies or leaving spiritual marks on stuff or creating soul weapons except maybe demons idk and they can do this stuff but they use magic as a base to do all that and not pure spirit energy like Leo

And there's a simple reason for that, Magic

The problem with everyone is that they are too focused on material reality of things that's why Magic is so liked even by demons. They think everything can be solved with Magic, true it can solve anything a person wants....that is if they can pay the price for it]

Shuma-Gorath could regenerate his soul But that's when he noticed Leo had devoured the part he ate, even the small part of his conscious that was in that part was wiped out, meaning he could kill him. Sure he could use his powers as a dimensional lord to just crush Leo but he has been trying that since the start

And when Leo shook hands, he was able to see it.

A being made of uncountable souls which were continously being burned by dark flames

It was a horror like none other. Almost infinite number of souls patched up together forming that shapeless gigantic thing

This was the part when he knew, Leo had reached their level. His level of existence had reached to the point where not only was it clashing with him on a stand still but also increasing at a astonishing rate

And showing him all the outcomes of their inevitable fight, this was the second part of the plan, weaking his Will by showing all the possibilities thus crubbing his ambition by a lot

And lastly killing his desire to live

In one of the possible futures Leo had shown, one was the end of all things. The destruction of the Multiverse.

It was like telling a person who has been locked in a small hut their whole life that world exists. It may not seem like a big deal to normal us but to that person it's like going against everything they know. It's all about perspective. Change that and everything goes to hell

As a being born in the Multiverse Shuma-Gorath's imagination ended there, he is quite literally limited by his knowledge. If only he knew there was something much bigger than that, then things would've been different. But showing him the end was more than enough to make him realise....nothing matters

Shuma-Gorath was broken. His entire view on everything was flipped over in a moment. He had seen the End of all things, Oblivion. All that was left was to make a choice that leads to nothing

Normally this wouldn't work but Shuma-Gorath who has lived for countless eras knows when he sees the truth and there is no better weapon than hard cold truth when it comes to breaking someone

So yes, he gave an elder god depression...

But why are they fighting?

Simple really

If he's going to die either ways might as well enjoy it

....

*3rd Pov*

Their battle waged on for a long long time

Shuma-Gorath had power from hundred universes supporting him while Leo was burning things he threw his way and devouring them

Leo knew his body couldn't handle that much energy so he was just taking it in and throwing it back at Shuma-Gorath With double damage

But that wasn't the end of it. Both of them were trying to use restrict each other's actions. Shuma-Gorath thought it would be easy as this was 'his' domain but to his surprise Leo had his own 'domain' activated

He tried everything, from reality warping to time stop to crushing space but nothing worked on Leo

Nozarashi was meant to cut things. The more energy it gets the more destructive it becomes and Leo continuously supporting it with almost endless energy it did it's job, cutting everything to bits, even the laws and magic Shuma-Gorath threw at him

And with each clash Shuma-Gorath was grew weaker and weaker while Leo's attacks just got stronger and stronger

It got to the point where even space was being shattered like glass with each swing of Nozarashi which resulted in universes breaking apart

That resulted in them changing realities as they continued fighting

(Watcher vs Ultron from what if for ref)

The result of that fight

-99 Universes destroyed

-Shuma-Gorath in a crater lying with only one tendril left

-And Leo siting calmly with crossed legs (lotus position) in front of him with Nozarashi to his side

[That...was...fun indeed] Shuma-Gorath acted weak

"It was....but how long are gonna play pretend?" He asked with a bored tone making Shuma-Gorath laugh as he got up while regenerating his body back to peak

[Round 2?]

"Nope~ This will be the last one" Leo got up while dusting his clothes before pulling Nozarashi from the ground

[In a hurry are we?]

"Yeah, mother is gonna be pissed" he chuckled a bit

[I still have no idea why you stick with those mortals]

"What can I say, they keep me in check"

[But why limit yourself? Why hold back despite all this power?] He asked curiously

Leo's eyes dimmed "There is no point to this strength...." he looked at his hands and continues

"I already know how every story starts I already know how every story ends....you already saw it and that wasn't even close to what I know" he had blank eyes at the end

[Then why all this? Why do you even exist?]

"I have no reason to live to be honest"

[Then why are you alive ?]

"Cause I have no reason to die either....funny isn't it? I only exist for the sake of existing....Nothing more nothing less"

[...You really are insane aren't you?]

He did a mock bow while saying "Thank you for your compliment"

And they fought again this time for the last one

As this was going to be the last clash they both got ready for their strongest attacks

Shuma-Gorath started gathering all of his energy including his life-force while Leo just raised his hand towards him while pointing

Dark swirling energy started gathering around his finger while Shuma-Gorath had a sun with all his energy ready to go

Leo smiled at him and muttered "Muerte....Cero"

*Swoop* or *Cero being launched sound*

The sky lost it's light as it turned dark with only sorce of light being the sun Shuma-Gorath threw at Leo

For few seconds nothing happened but then....

*Crack!*

Everything shattered like glass by the impact caused by their attacks

Leo glanced at Shuma-Gorath who was slowly erased by the Cero and raised his hand towards his chest

"Rest in peace Shuma-Gorath" he bowed a little offering a prayer

"Now, let's go home before anyone notices" he quickly ripped open space and vanished leaving the burning universe behind not even caring about the massive war between many angled-ones he just caused. Not to mention the Sorcerers around the Multiverse who were scared out of their vits by the sudden disappearance of The One Who Slumbers
