Chapter 15 "Top of the Temple, Bullshit"

After entering the Artifact Pavilion, Gu Shang asked around if Elder Chu was in the building, and a disciple told him that Elder Chu was talking with Elder Yin in her private room.

'Maybe I'll just go back and come another day.'

But just as he was about to walk out of the building, he could feel a cold gaze locking him in position, he knew that at this moment, his soul was being suppressed by a soul forming cultivator, Gu Shang knew that it was already too late.

"Gu Shang, why are you leaving so fast?"

"Shouldn't you greet your big sister?"

'I'm dead, aren't I?'

The one who said that was of course, Elder Yin. Gu Shang knew that he had to meet and talk to her someday, but he wanted to do that when they were alone.

Elder Yin came to him slowly, Gu Shang could hear every step, due to his fear of what she might do, those steps sounded as if they were the only thing happening in the world. After standing next to him, she whispered in his ear with ice-cold aura.

After doing that, she walked out of the building, the cold aura that locked him in place disappeared with her.

Gu Shang was relieved that she didn't do anything to him, if she wanted to kill him, there was no way to fight back.

He still had to meet her later, but at least he could prepare for it. 

Gu Shang went to see Elder Chu since she was free after Elder Yin left.

"Greetings Elder Chu."

"..."

Elder Chu didn't say anything and just stared at him with disgust in her eyes.

"I'm guessing Elder Yin already told Elder Chu about what happened."

"..."

Elder Chu didn't respond and just continued to look at him.

Seeing this, Gu Shang didn't say anything more and just took out the crystal he got from the necklace.

Seeing the crystal, Elder Chu seemed surprised, but quickly went back to looking disgusted.

"Elder Chu, I came to ask about this crystal. Is it possible for Elder Chu to feel disgust for me later, and tell me what is this crystal?"

The best person for weird materials in the sect was Elder Chu, if she didn't know what this crystal was used for, then nobody could.

"Sigh, from what I can see, the crystal you have is nothing more than a normal jewel, but I can do some experiments to check what it can do."

Gu Shang then gave the crystal to her, and then went out of the room, but as he was walking out, Elder Chu called out to him.

"About the thing with your potential increasing, sect leader said that every new day of the month, your potential will be tested."

"Understood Elder Chu."

"Also Elder Chu, will I be able to get the pass to the top floor of the Scroll Temple?"

"Yes, you can go to the Scroll Temple, Elder Hua knows to let you in."

Gu Shang left the room and went home, he wanted to temper his body with internal energy, as he couldn't do it for some reason recently. He also wanted to temper his body in case it really did improve his potential.

After getting to his house he tried to enter the state of perfect rhythm of the body, and he did that, and to his satisfaction, his blood cells started producing internal energy. He really didn't understand why he couldn't produce internal energy earlier.

He tempered his body for over 8 hours, before needing to stop. After stopping, he took the opportunity of the boost to cultivate.

After another 2 hours, the boost from the tempering ended, so he started absorbing and transforming wood energy into stamina, after 30 minutes he was filled to the brim with stamina.

Gu Shang once again perfected the rhythm of the body, but this time, his blood cells didn't produce any internal energy.

Seeing this, Gu Shang couldn't help, but try thinking what was wrong.

He perfected the rhythm of the body, he was sure of it, so he repeated how the technique works in his mind.

'For the body to be in a perfect rhythm, the brain waves are synchronized with the beating of the heart in perfect harmony.'

'The blood flow is in harmony with the body's movement.'

Doing all of those things were extremely hard to do, it took him over a week of straight sitting down and trying to perfect the rhythm.

But even after doing all that, he couldn't even feel his blood cells trying to produce internal energy.

After thinking for over an hour, he just decided to train the reinvigorating technique and the blood fiend sword style.

For the two days the cycle repeated, he tempered his body, he cultivated, he regained stamina, and he couldn't temper again for the rest of the day.

At this point, he was tired of this cycle, so he decided to get another thing off of his heart, the Elder Yin situation.

It took him 20 minutes to get to the Pill Pavilion, after entering the building, he couldn't help, but get cold feet, quite literally, because he could feel the gaze of Elder Yin already on him.

Gu Shang ignored it and went towards Elder Yin's room.

Knock knock knock.

"Enter."

Gu Shang entered the room and saw a similar room to the one where he visited Elder Yang, but the atmosphere of this room was a more depressing, Elder Yang's room could be considered the peak of summer, then this was more like late autumn or early winter.

Elder Yin stood in the middle of the room, looking like a statue.

"H-Hello Senior Sister Yin."

"Gu Shang, I don't remember ever giving you permission to have sex with me?"

"Elder Yao told me that I had to have sex with you to save you from death."

The two of them started talking about some other things, most of those things was just making fun of Elder Yang, as she acted like a child most of the time.

After an hour of talking, Gu Shang said his goodbyes and went out.

He wanted to go to the top floor of the Scroll Temple, and after 5 minutes, he got there.

"Greetings Elder Hua, I came here to enter the top floor."

Gu Shang said his greetings to a lady who seemed to be in her 50s, she had a some gray hair's on her head.

This person was Mu Hua, the weakest elder in terms of cultivation, but best elder when it comes to diversity of her fighting style and techniques. She was known on the entire continent as the "Queen of Myriad Techniques", that's because she has exquisite comprehension ability, she has comprehended most of the techniques in the Scroll Temple.

"Sigh, come with me."

Elder Hua led him to a place in the middle of the ground floor. This kind of weirded him out, but just as he was about to ask Elder Hua why are they in this place, a blue array appeared around them, and the next second, they were in a different place.

In this place, there were four books, two were sitting on two different marble altars, which had different colored lotuses carved into them. The third book was on a wooden altar, the altar wasn't anything fancy like the other two, while the fourth book was on a table.

"You can read any of the books you see here."

Said Elder Hua with a smug smile.

"How much time do I have?"

"All the time you want."

Said Elder Hua with a smile that was even more smug.

Hearing this, Gu Shang immediately came to the two marble altars.
