The old men were still talking and had moved closer to the scythe in curiosity seeing that Shane had stayed alive longer than their companion did.

"Mhm, it seems he might actually pass and become the new wielder of the scythe."

" That's what it looks like if the amount of time he spent in there is any indication."

" Mhm, but it's of little importance if he fails someone else enters, if he passes he won't add a high their of power to the organization right away, he will need to be trained."

" What? Why would he need to be trained, he is supposed to inherit the previous knowledge and power of the previous users, isn't that what makes the worthy so attractive, instant power?"

" it is, but you have forgotten he is human, could he handle the sudden increase in power and knowledge? Of not he would die."

" It seems your right, the human body won't be able to handle the power of the Scythe, it's best his race be changed."

"That should be the only way for his body to be able to handle the power of the Scythe and even then it would be just barely after all none of the original devils are going to give their essence to change his race."

" Mhm, I agree this generation user is destined to be weaker than the past."

While they were talking Fury was standing not too far from them making sure to get as much information as possible, as it seemed the old men didn't seem to care if he heard he had taken the chance and followed them when they moved closer to the scythe.

But what Fury didn't realize was, that the old men saw them as weak, and the weak could resist them, they spoke because they could easily wipe their memory afterward, so everything Fury was doing was for nothing, as they had already planned to wipe their minds before they left.

Shane was currently ecstatic after being named the seventh generation user of the Scythe of darkest flame, he had finally achieved something that he had wanted since childhood.

" Master, the blood from the pool wouldn't be able to handle my power, I ask that the new user be given the essence from one of the original devils." said Kai

" You're right, but why should I ask one of them to relinquish half of their power for this boy?" asked Cul.

Shane's excitement was gone as he listened to the conversation.

" If he doesn't get the blood he would be destined to be my weakest user unable to release my full power, and it might be problematic for your plans." said Kai.

" That's true, but the most I will order is a middle-level blood essence, if he wants anymore he is permitted to challenge one of them and take half of their essence." says Cul.

" I am thankful your majesty." days Kai

"Of course your thankful you got exactly what you wanted, Kai you can't hide your intentions from me." says Cul

Hearing this Kai kneels once again as his face is pressed into the ground.

" Please forgive me your majesty I didn't mean to think I could fool you." says Kai

" I know your intentions, and that's exactly why I'm not upset but I warn you to think before you act there must not be a next time." says Cul staring at Kai.

" Yes, your majesty."

The weapons of the worthy series all have their own consciousness and, all compete for the strongest user in each generation, Kai simply wanted Cul to give him permission to fight and get half of an original essence, to give his user a higher starting point, but he was seen through by Cul, but still got what he wanted.

' If I didn't know this idiot was o e hundred percent loyal to me I would erase his consciousness now.' thinks Cul.

After thinking this Cul glanced at Shane once more and disappeared.

The temperature suddenly started to increase at an alarming rate, and this was immediately caught by the old men who disappeared and reappeared far away from the Scythe looking on.

Fury seeing this also ran from the Scythe, he could feel the change in temperature, and from the reaction of the old men, he guessed it wasn't a good thing.

After Fury and all the agents retreated to the same distance as the old men, a completely black flame enveloped Shane, as the speed the temperature was rising increased.

BOOM!!!!!

Shane's eyes snapped open and the ground under his feet started melting, a suit of armor appeared on his body, his eyes turned black he looked completely different.

When the old men saw this their faces didn't change but the same couldn't be said for Fury.
