Bardeelus was very convincing for once, his parents couldn't find enough reasons to refuse this idea. Sure dark arts of any sort were shunned across the village, but they had to push that little social-structure aside now, for the sake of the village's future.
Driola, who was a necromancer herself, repeated many words of both comfort and wisdom.
She explained, "There are necromancers who don't ask for strength from demons, there are plenty of summoners too. They're natural!"
Furthermore, she emphasized. "The truth is, it's really difficult to advance in any of those arts without demonic help, but it's still possible. If you help the people here stick to the right direction, then they may never think of making a pact with a demon."
She preached some really good things. It was smart to deal with such mages now, rather than let them drift aimlessly. They could become a greater threat in the future, if they weren't put under some surveillance now.
