C7 Yamanaka

I bestow upon you all a riddle of my choosing. Now, return my kindness with power stones. You are on an island in the middle of a lake. The lake is in a remote part of the country and there has never been a bridge connecting the island to the mainland. Every day a tractor and wagon gives hay rides around the island. Puzzled as to how the tractor had gotten onto the island, you ask around and find out that the tractor was not transported to the island by boat or by air. Nor was it built on the island. Explain how the tractor got there? Enjoy the chapter!)

After that night, Sasuke stopped pretending that everything was alright. At least he stopped pretending towards Naruto. If other people asked he would lie and say he was fine. The next day, Naruto went straight to Gramps and got the address for Inoichi Yamanaka. The Yamanaka don't live in a gated off community as the Uchiha did. They are dispersed throughout the village, so finding the right Yamanaka would have been hard without help.

Before leaving the house, Naruto gave Sasuke his training schedule for the day. He will join Sasuke in training when he got back. As Naruto walked the streets of Konoha, he felt the stares drill into him. God Naruto hates those stares.

Naruto appears before a normal looking house and rings the doorbell. A little girl about his age answers with a curious expression. She has fair skin, light blue eyes, and long platinum blonde hair worn in a ponytail, with bangs framing the right side of her face. She peaks out of the door and looks at Naruto.

"Hello, are your parents home?" Naruto asks with a soft smile on my face.

"Yeah, my daddy is here. Do you need to talk to him?" She replies with a cute tilt of her head.

"Yes, would you please get him for me?"

"Sure." She says and closes the door. The door opens a moment later and she peeks her head out again. "What's your name?"

"Ohh, did I forget to say it? I'm Naruto Uzumaki. It's nice to meet you." Naruto introduces himself with a kind smile.

"Ok, I'll tell daddy your name. I'm Ino Yamanaka, by the way." Ino introduces herself and slams the door in Naruto's face yet again.

After waiting a short while, the door opens revealing Inoichi Yamanaka. Inoichi has long ash-blond hair reaching into his lower back, which he wore spiky on top and ending in a long ponytail, light green eyes, and strong facial features. He looks down at Naruto with a questioning gaze.

"Naruto Uzumaki, correct?" He asks.

"Yeah, that's me. Do you have a place we can talk in private, Inoichi." Naruto says and Inoichi looks at him funny.

"Sure, follow me." Inoichi shrugs it off and leads Naruto into the house.

Naruto is lead to a small office/study that presumably belongs to Inoichi. Before even sitting down, Naruto gets straight to business.

"A friend of mine is having trouble and in my opinion, he needs the help of someone from your clan."

"Someone specific or what?" He asks.

"Someone who is well trained in mind healing."

"Ahh, I understand. What's the name of this friend of yours?" Inoichi asks.

"That is a bit complicated. He doesn't want to see a Yamanaka. I just got him to admit to having a problem. I'll tell you his name, but I need you complete assurance that you will not say anything about this to anyone." I say as I don't think Sasuke wants people knowing about this. At least for now, I think.

"I would never reveal anything about patients or prospective patients. Unless they are a threat to the village and/or themselves." Inoichi says with a bit of conviction.

"Good, my friend's name is Sasuke Uchiha." As Naruto says his name a knowing look appears on Inoichi's face.

"Yeah, I know about young Sasuke's traumatic experience. I've suggested that he see someone for it, but it's hard to get the ball rolling on something like that. Especially when there's no parent or guardian to sign off on it. Without Sasuke himself setting up an appointment, we can't force him to do anything." Inoichi explains with a sad look on his face.

"That is what I thought you would say, so I'm not disappointed in your answer. Sasuke is a very private and guarded person. I have recently become somewhat of a brother to him. I have his trust and I would like to help him, but I know that he will never come to see your clan for help. He's too pigheaded for that, so I was hoping that you would impart your techniques onto me. That way I can be the one to help Sasuke with his issues."

"You wish to learn our clans jutsus?" Inoichi asked with a stern expression.

"Yes and no. I would like to learn the jutsus used in mind healing, and I would like to be taught by a mind healer in what to do. If I can't be taught by a mind healer, then simply giving me books in the subject will suffice."

"I understand. I may be the leader of the clan, but this is something that has to be decided during a clan meeting. One will be held at the end of the week, so I'll have an answer for you by then." He says strokes his chin in contemplation.

"Thank you for considering this. I know that I'm asking a lot of you, but this is my friend and he needs my help. Hopefully, your clan agrees to teach me." Naruto bows to Inoichi in thanks.

"No problem, I wish I had a friend as good as you Naruto-kun." Inoichi replies with a friendly smile. "Well, it was nice meeting you, Naruto. I have a meeting soon, so you should probably get going. Come on. I'll show you the way out."

As we exit the study, on the other side of the door is a curious Ino. She must have been listening in on our conversation. When she saw us open the door, she runs away down the hall as fast as her little legs can carry her. As I exited the house, I yelled behind me.

"It was nice meeting you, Ino! I hope to see you again soon!" I yell and turn back to Ino's father. "Thank you for your time, Inoichi. Have a nice day." Naruto bows and runs off down the street.

"So that's Kushinas boy, huh. He seems just like her, but a bit more calm and collected."
