Chapter 17: Preparations

The meeting went by quickly, with the tree deciding on how they were going to combat Moryo.

Katsuyu, Gamamaru, and the Black Snake Sage will lead the inhabitants of their Sage Lands to combat the Stone Army that Moryo will lead on the world, while Catherine will battle Moryo directly inside of the gap between dimensions.

Catherine then returned to Ryuchi Cave with the Black Snake Sage to prepare for the inevitable battle.

She then went inside her room and immediately began meditating to enter into her personal library.

'This will be my first battle since I came into this new world. I have many questions about what may happen during my battle against Moryo. Will I be strong enough to beat him? Will I die in the battle? No! I refuse to die again!! No matter what, I won't allow this thing to endanger my new world!' Catherine thought to herself.

The three days passed at a high speed, with the threat of Moryo looming over their heads, each of the Sages assembling their own inhabitants to prepare them for the inevitable battle.

Mount Myoboku

"Today, we fight in a battle that decides the continued existence of the world that we call home. I know that I'm new to the Great Toad Sage, but this battle will decide the very future of the tadpoles that are currently growing. So are we going to let our world fall, or are we going to defeat this threat and eat flies when we return!!" Gamamaru screamed.

"EAT FLIES!!!!" the toads replied.

Gamamaru smiled at this, ready to defend the world he lived in.

Shikkotsu Forest

Katsuyu looked on at the large assortment of different animals assembled before her and began to speak in her soft tone.

"Today, I will be leading us all into battle to fight against a major threat that even I can't defeat alone. It will be up to us and the other 2 Sage Lands to defend our homelands and the people that live on them. I will heal everyone to the best of my ability, so let us showcase why we're known as Shikkotsu Forest!!"

The animals each showed their fighting spirit by cheering Katsuyu.

Ryuchi Cave

The Black Snake Sage menacingly stood in front of every serpent in Ryuchi Cave, ready to give them their orders for the coming battle.

"Today, we will have to work with those filthy Toads and Slugs to defend our home. It will be up to us to take down the Demon's army that plans on conquering our world. NO ONE CONQUERS RYUCHI CAVE! So if you have to die to ensure our future, then do it, but I refuse for us to become mere pawns in someone else's hands. Now let us go and dominate these ants that believe that they can take our world!" he hissed

The snakes all shook their tails in anticipation, ready to devour this army that they consider prey.

Catherine appeared in front of all the snakes, with her turning towards the Black Snake Sage and asking "Are you ready?" to which the Black Snake Sage just nodded.

Catherine proceeded to open a large golden portal that led to the future Land of Demons after which she did so for the other 2 Sage Lands.

All of them arrived and saw the sky turn a purple color as a multi headed purple dragon appeared in the sky. A large number of terracotta warriors began to appear on the ground and march towards the army.

Catherine immediately charged towards Moryo while the animal went after the Terracotta Warriors.

Catherine's first battle in the defense of her new world began.
