Chapter 8

Konoha.

The afternoon sun shone brightly, a beautiful clear blue sky above Konoha, a lazy aura in the atmosphere.

"I hope she agrees" Looking at the house before him with a blue roof and a wide garden, Ryuma thought, a hopeful look in his eyes.

Tap…

Ding Dong!

Ryuma walked into the house, and arriving at the door, he calmly rang the bell, and then stood on the side waiting for the door to open.

Coming!

Creak…

A voice from inside sounded and the next moment, the door was pushed open, a woman with pink hair, green eyes, dressed in red with a fan shaped emblem printed on the back, came in Ryuma's view.

"You are?" Seeing the strangely dressed figure before her, Sakura was slightly surprised but she quickly got over it, and asked, a confused look in her eyes.

"Nice to meet you, Sakura-San, I'm Shojiro Ryuma, a student at the academy" Ryuma bowed slightly, greeting her politely and also introduced himself.

"Academy?" Said Sakura, a look of disbelief in her green eyes, as she sized Ryuma up and down, his height didn't seem to agree with his words.

"Haha, I know my height makes you doubt my words, but I just turned 12 this year" Said Ryuma laughing not angry at her not believing that he wasn't a student.

"12, you are the same age as my daughter, but you really have a height way beyond you age" Hearing his words, a soft look appeared in the eyes of Sakura, as she spoke lightly, looking at Ryuma, who was even taller than her.

"So you're here for, Ryuma?" Quickly with her strong nerves, Sakura got over the surprise of Ryuma's age, and asked, a confused look in her eyes.

This boy seems to know her, though it was the first time Sakura had met her.

"Sakura-San, Principal Iruka guided me to your house, he said you're the best person to look for" Ryuma quickly spoke about Iruka, knowing his name would remove the doubt of Sakura.

"Iruka-Sensei, how rude of me, please come in!"

Said Sakura, an embarrassed look over her face, as she stepped aside from the door, inviting Ryuma inside.

"Then I'll trouble you" Nodded Ryuma as he entered the house, a wide corridor before him, a kitchen to the left at the end and stairs near the entrance door, leading to the second floor.

"Feel at home, here wear these" Sakura hurriedly went forward, and took out a set of slippers and placed them near Ryuma's feet.

Ryuma quickly changed to those slippers and following Sakura he arrived at the living room, Sakura motioning him to sit on the chair right beside the table, as she went to the kitchen.

In the living room,

Opposite to each other with a table in the middle, sat Sakura and Ryuma, a cup of tea placed before both of them, some snacks in a plate also.

Sip…

"You want to learn Medical Ninjutsu from me?"

Taking a sip of the tea, Sakura asked, looking at Ryuma, who without beating around the bush, had already stated the purpose of his visit.

"Um" nodded Ryuma putting the cup back on the table and said affirmatively: "In the academy they only teach the basics, I was unaware of this, the main reason I even joined the academy was to learn Medical Ninjutsu"

"You're one of the top experts in Medical Ninjutsu in the whole village Sakura-San, I'd be glad if I can get your guidance"

Thud…

"I'd be straightforward Ryuma," Sakura put the cup back on the table, a serious look appearing on her face as she continued: "Tell me the reason, why are you so keen on becoming a Medical Shinobi, I'll make my decision after hearing your answer"

Sakura had gone through wars; she didn't want to teach someone who had a half- hearted reason and no resolve.

"Ha, a reason" Chuckled Ryuma at her words, as he raised his head, his black eyes meeting the serious green eyes of Sakura, his lips parting: "If you ask for a reason, it's simple, just to improve myself even though I can already perform miracles"

"I'm not a saint who is looking to help people at every turn"

"That's the reason I want to learn Medical Ninjutsu, Sakura-San, and this reason won't change even if you reject me here"

Said Ryuma, a rare serious look in his usual bored and lazy eyes, his tone confident, not a trace of hesitation in it.

"This kid…he's too blunt" Seeing the confident look in his eyes, Sakura was slightly taken aback, she was expecting the usual saving the people stuff from him to impress her.

"Miracles? Haha, Are you that confident in yourself!" But something from his words caught her attention, as laughing, Sakura inquired, her green eyes stuck at him with an interesting look in them.

"Then why don't I show you a miracle, Sakura-San, If I succeed in surprising you, you'd have to come to the academy and teach me Medical Ninjutsu"

Ryuma gave her a confident smile and said lightly, his words stopping the laughter of Sakura, surprised seeing him so confident.

{The story will be slow-paced at the start, and yeah some may think that the mc is too op at the start but Boruto doesn't have much time for the mc to get strong, since Kawaki and others after getting karma skipped several levels instantly}
