Chapter 48: The Mastermind Behind The Scenes I

...........

And now we have an issue, there were two Isaacs in the facility, both flesh and blood, not like the rest of the purely chakra clones, so which of the two is the original?

The Isaac currently in the Tank was different than the one still familiarizing himself with breathing.

The one in the Tank had many extremely pale parts on his skin, especially the entirety of his left arm, on which there seemed to be a deformity, a pale face grown on his skin.

The Isaac in the Tank is the one that went to war. He's the one who lost his arm in the war, and he's the one with the Forbidden Individual Curse Tag in his heart, planted by Madara himself.

"Let me go," Isaac instructed in a raspy voice as he stood up. He was a bit shaky, but he managed, "I really did miss my original body." He murmured, solving the puzzle himself.

The Isaac in the Tank now is what can be called a True Clone, one of flesh and blood, although it has been fused with Hashirama's cells by Madara.

"The operation is ready," One of the clones stated, "You have to clean up first though."

"Indeed I do," Isaac nodded, his body was still sticky from the liquid that was within the Tank, making him feel very uncomfortable.

Isaac went to take a short shower, cleaning himself thoroughly, and making sure he was perfectly sanitized for the operation.

The operation wasn't too complicated as it consisted primarily of transferring the True Clone's blood to Isaac, blood which contains Hashirama's cells.

That wasn't something Isaac would usually do, but the True Clone's blood is now no longer simply Hashirama Cells for Isaac having used the Active Eternal Refinement to forcefully refine his blood.

The True Clone's current blood is the result of more than a year of refining, something Isaac wouldn't have been able to do if that same blood hadn't given him massive regeneration abilities, allowing him to somewhat sustain his Mangekyo Sharingan Ability.

Time was of the essence to the point that Isaac had optimized the operation to a ridiculous degree, taking only a few hours, with his new bloodline allowing him to regenerate from the operation very quickly.

The only thing left was something that made the clones around Isaac struggle way too much, sweat pouring down their forehead, "Body Manipulation Technique."

As the Technique's name implies, it allows one to modify the target body, although it has many restrictions.

The goal was obvious, making it so that Isaac's original body looks exactly like the True Clone's, which has many scars.

Considering that Isaac was a willing participant, many of the restrictions were void. The problem came from the clones' mentality.

"Are you stupid? The distance between this point and that is exactly twelve millimeters, why are you making it a quarter of a millimeter longer?"

"Look at the skin tone! It's obviously not the same! Make it paler!"

"What? It's obviously the same! Are you blind?"

"Are you blind? How are we the same garbage person? Do we have the same eyes?"

"I think it's probably just the lightning. You two are standing in different positions, thus what your eyes can see might be different."

"Oh, indeed, that wouldn't be something that a normal person would notice but the Sharingan is different."

"We can not turn off the Sharingan, it's necessary for perfect body manipulation."

"We are stupid. We didn't make sure the lightning was perfectly the same throughout the room. The operation is a failure."

"Indeed, the difference in skin tone will definitely be noticed by Black Zetsu."

"Restart the operation! Repeat! Restart the operation! Quick! Time is of the essence!"

Meanwhile, Isaac could only eye his clones with... Well, a very proud look... Perfection to the very minute of things.

He would've certainly been able to change his looks slightly with the transformation technique, but against someone like Black Zetsu, that might be risky... Again, he's pursuing perfection.

Fortunately, or rather, as expected, the operation went smoothly, and Isaac didn't delay much as he put on the exact clothes the True Clone had worn earlier.

Then he made his way to the center of a hall in the facility, where a lot of clones were already assembled, awaiting his arrival... It was the Clone Assembly.

"The True Clone project is still somewhat of a failure," Those were Isaac's first words to the clones, "The body was somewhat rejecting me. My efficiency and capabilities were 34.2689% lower."

"That's to be expected. We didn't have much time to perfect the True Clone," A clone nearby nodded as he took notes.

"Indeed, time is quite the problem for us. We should put more focus on time-related techniques," Another clone added.

Before they can lose themselves in their imagination, Isaac continued, "Also, I experienced an occasional surge of dizziness, as if the Possession Technique is about to experience a failure of some sort.

Most importantly, I noticed that My Sharingan's capabilities when used by the True Clone are about 68.945% lower though it started at 42.56%."

"Oh? It seems that the Possession Technique and the True Clone are more imperfect than we perceived."

"Indeed, it's a big problem. Not only is there a problem of efficiency and control from the very start, there is a problem of continuous loss of efficiency and control."

"So you spent the past years perfecting something other than your mentality? Your Blood?" The Clone of Depression couldn't help but murmur in... Well, depression, 'Aghh, when can I just die?'

"Hm?" The Clones did hear his words, sparking their creativity, "That's indeed a problem."

"Our research on the Flying Thunder God Technique is near completion. If we gain mastery over space through it, maybe we can also influence time and maybe create a domain where time is slower."

"We can also dive deeper into the mysteries of Gravity Techniques, we should be able to twist time if we master Gravity."

"Dimensional Techniques are also an avenue to influence time, maybe we can discover a dimension where time is irregular to that of this world."

"Aghh, why are you guys so narrow-minded? Just how are you me? I just don't understand. It really feels like you all's thought process is 99.99 years behind me," The Clone Of Arrogance couldn't help but facepalm in frustration, although what he said made everyone's mouth twitch.

"The Virtual World is near completion. We can make it so that time within it moves two times faster at least, depending on how much the average brain can handle. If we perfect it, we can make it so that the brain easily adapts to the change in time."

"That does give us enough time, but the things that happen in the Virtual World can not translate to reality, so the extra time is only beneficial for research and experimentation."

"That's where my grand plan comes in!" The Clone of Arrogance proclaimed, "Izanagi! It can change reality to illusion, our research on it already shows that it can also do the opposite, especially after our research on the Kurama Clan who can do similar things to Izanagi.

Now imagine! A Virtual world where reality can turn into an illusion and then back to reality... Maybe we can make it so some things in the Virtual World feed back to reality."

"Brilliant!! Also also! If we can turn items into an illusion and take them into the Virtual world, then transfer them to someone else across the world, and provided that we can turn them back to reality, wouldn't we achieve cross-distance transfer? The Virtual World can become a trade hub!"

All Isaac usually needs is to speak a few words, sparking a discussion, and then the Clone Assembly's unimaginable creativity shows itself.

Since he wasn't needed there anymore, and time was of the essence, Isaac headed to a specific chamber in the facility.

The chamber had a large runic seal at its middle, on which Isaac stood and ordered to seemingly no one, "Activate."

On the other side of the World, where the True Clone previously was, the clones there all touched the ground at the same time, manifesting a similar runic seal, "Summon!"

It was near instant, how Isaac appeared right before them. The Technique uses the same concept as summoning beasts scrolls to summon him to anywhere in the world.

Of course, that's provided that several clones already exist in the destination, yet the summoning still caused several clones to dissipate as they used all of their Chakra.

The Technique's consumption is ridiculous though it's still way more efficient than the Flying Thunder God Technique.

Isaac took a deep breath before going to bed. The switch was successful, seamlessly so. It was quite perfect. Isaac made sure of it, manipulating everything behind the scenes so things turn out exactly like this.
