Chapter 31

I had my target before me, ready to get his jutsu seen, but there was a problem. Only me and G were left, that means that after a few minutes, he would leave and that wasn't enough for me.

I had used up quite a lot of chakra while demonstrating my ninjutsu and had to concentrate completely to read his head. I needed more time and need to be close to him.

As I was whacking my brain for a good idea, Darui called out G's name and they both stood on opposite sides of the dummy.

I only had one idea in mind and felt bad to use it, but I had to do it. I slowly picked up a stone, making sure no one is seeing. Having Byakugan sure was useful.

The next thing was a little tricky. I threw the rock towards G, aiming at his joint connecting his arm and shoulder.

I had to completely make sure that no one notices it and the Byakugan certainly helped me in this matter. It hit G and caused him to get distracted, relaxing his muscles in his arm.

This was the moment when he was performing the lariat, so, the dummy blocked Darui's vision and as for others, they were focused on Darui, I was lucky.

G didn't have time to stop his lariat at that moment and when Darui's lariat landed on the dummy, the force sent G's arm back and caused his joint to dislocate.

This was possible because the blow from my stone relaxed his muscles and the force from Darui wasn't weak. G gripped his shoulder with pain, but he didn't shout.

I immediately ran to him and said "Shit bro, how did this happen?"

Darui looked at G and said "I thought you were stronger, well no one is perfect in life. Take him to the medical ninjas."

That's when I stopped Darui. If G is taken to the medical ninjas, it would mean that he failed this test and it would leave a bad taste in my mouth as I was the cause of that.

So, I suggested "My friend isn't weak. Since I also learnt medical ninjutsu, I will heal him. Please give him another chance."

Darui was thinking about it, because although the rule says that no one gets a second chance, G was supposed to be the best in our class, equal to me.

Not only did he loose, he also got injured. This was suspicious. So, after thinking for a while, Darui said "I will give him a chance only if everyone agrees."

And surprisingly, everyone agreed. Usually, any kid would say "If he gets another chance, I also want another chance.", but no one said anything.

That's how close the students had grown close to G. Although he was arrogant, he was also kind and that attracted many people. You could say, he became approachable only due to our continuous matches.

After Darui agreed, I bent down to heal G, who looked at me with thankful eyes. That hurt more. I said in my head "No bro, don't thank me. I was the one who put you in this situation."

I returned the joint to its usual location and closed my eyes. I had to concentrate completely to both heal and read his mind.

After a lot of time, I could read some of his memories and heal G, before I almost completely emptied my chakra.

I sat on the ground, breathing heavily. G got up and said "Hakuto, I will live up to your expectations and will not betray your trust in me."

This guy was dead set on making me feel. lore guilty. I just forced a smile and dragged my self back to the crowd, so that G can go on with his lariat.

And as expected, the head of the dummy popped out. After the double lariat, G looked at me and gave me a thumbs up. It was my turn next and I had low levels of chakra.

I was weak and tried. I was missing those food pills of the Root. I stood on the opposite side of Darui, with the dummy in the center.

Darui looked at me and said "Will you be able to run? Give up if you can't do it. I don't want to dislocate joints again."

I nodded, indicating that I could do it. Darui took that as a sign of agreement and signalled the start.

We both ran towards the dummy. I pushed all my muscles and ran with everything I got. We both made it to the dummy at the same time.

Both our hands slammed the neck of the dummy. There was a struggle between power for a few seconds. I was able to hold my arm at the neck of the dummy. But it was only for a few seconds, before my arms gave up the struggle and the dummy bent towards me.

I fell to the floor and G came towards us shouting "This isn't fair. He almost ran out of chakra. If he...."

That's when I decided to stop him and said "No G, I am already tired. No use for a retest or something. I just want to get done with this graduation thing. I don't care about the result."

That was partly true. I didn't want a retest because this is what I did to myself. Another reason was that I actually was tired and wanted to rest as soon as possible. So, I didn't want G to extend the time.

I didn't have energy to even talk and I also fainted after that. So, I didn't know what happened later.

I woke up in the nurses office, with my only two friends beside me. T and G were beside me, doing their usual lover's thing.

I wished I woke up at another time. So, I closed my eyes and started recalling all the information I received from Darui.

Since I was low on chakra, I couldn't read all his memories, but I got some useful information. One was the teachings of Third Raikage and his indestructible shield and spear.

This wasn't easy, so I decided to look into it later, not only due to the difficulty, but it also required a huge amount of chakra.

Next thing was the black lightning release. This was a variant of normal lightning release. Usually, when we use any lightning release jutsu, we don't actually transform all the chakra into lightning.

Some if the chakra is released unchanged. This is the usual chakra that is wasted when performing jutsu. So, what makes the black lightning special is that, it changes the whole chakra into lightning, making it more destructive and making it loose it's blue color.

That was a new information that would help me a lot. And, the shield technique of the Third Raikage was also helpful. It was theoretically similar to the chakra mode and in some ways, even better.

I will train in it later, but first I had to deal with these two love birds making out beside their unconscious friend.

Note:- We again crossed 100 power stones. Thank a lot for the support. I am planning to release three chapters today, if everything goes according to plan today.

And about the voting, I will be counting the votes tomorrow. So, today is the last day for both Ino and Yugito fans to vote. Yugito looks like she will win, but Ino is also not backing down.
