Chapter-17 First C-rank mission

Sasuke new training has started, his morning routine was still the same as before which included training with Guy, followed by his taijutsu and kenjutsu training. After that he trained with Kushina in fuinjutsu, she also spars with him as she has nothing better to do and beating up Sasuke was fun for her. Sasuke did not go all out when fighting her, he fights her without using eight gates technique while wearing all his training weights.

Neither she uses anything other than taijutsu nor Sasuke during their spar. Sasuke fought her with all those restriction as it was good training for him and he did not want to ruin her fun. If he started showing more skills, Kushina will also use more of her skills. He may have better taijutsu than her but if she started using her ninjutsu and fuinjutsu then beating he will receive will be much more severe.

She was a merciless master and Sasuke's new training was very painful. Sasuke stopped his medical ninjutsu training for now as his level of chakra control was as good as Hokage if not better, and he was making no further progress in it. If he wants more advancement in medical ninjutsu then he needs to learn from Tsunade. He was also training his genjutsu skills to reach new height, he wanted to surpass Itachi in genjutsu by the time they both have their confrontation. His kenjutsu skills were at decent level but he needed to spar with other expert to gain combat experience.

His fuinjutsu training was progressing but he realized the importance of Uzumaki bloodline. He was not sure if he can reach the level of an Uzumaki grandmaster. He thought if he can surpass Kushina in fuinjutsu then, when he awakens his rinnegan, even Otsutsuki clan members would not be that big of a threat. But surpassing Kushina was not easy and he did not have confidence to actually achieve it. So he thought of next best thing, have a teammate with that level of fuinjutsu skills. From his memories he remembers that apart from Naruto there is only one more Uzumaki alive Karin, so he decided to have them both trained by Kushina. He already has a plan in his mind for this purpose.

Kushina spends most of her time inside Uchiha compound. Place where she stays are sealed to a degree that Hokage with his anbu squad together can neither probe nor breach that place. And as for the rest of compound, these places were sealed by Sasuke and these seals keep upgrading as Sasuke learns new techniques. She uses the anbu mask and seals to cover her face and mask her chakra when she sneaks around the village. Sasuke started inviting Naruto daily to Uchiha compound for training so that Kushina can watch Naruto from a distance. She also wanted to cook for Naruto, so Sasuke made sure that Naruto eats all his meal with him.

It was getting more and more difficult for Kushina to just watch Naruto from distance and not reach to him and take him in her embrace and tell him that she is his mom and how much she loves him. Sasuke told her to wait for some time, he will think of a plan so that she won't have to hide from everybody and be close to Naruto. She did not think it was possible for her to reveal herself and not cause a scandal but she decided to have faith in Sasuke.

Two week went by with Sasuke's new training, and finally the person Sasuke was waiting for shows up, it was Tazuna from country of waves. Sasuke does not care about changing plot due to butterfly effect. He was going to do things differently and even if future changes, as long as he is strong enough he can face any challenge. What he was concerned about was third Hokage's death. He wanted him to die but if he kills third Hokage then his relationship with Naruto, Guy and Rock Lee will be affected. Sasuke only cares about three people in the village, Guy his sensei, Rock Lee his rival and friend, and Naruto his best friend.

So Sasuke wanted no change in plot until Hokage's death, and Tazuna arrival was an indication that plot was progressing as it was supposed to be. Sasuke was thinking about how he should handle things from here so that plot till Hokage's death does not change, or at least the part where Hokage dies does not change.

Things went pretty much like canon, Naruto was dissatisfied with doing only D-rank mission and demanded a 'real mission', and team-7 finally got their first C-rank mission. Everyone went home and started preparing for their mission.

Sasuke also went back home, he asked Kushina to follow them secretly during their mission. He knew it was going to take more than a month to complete this mission and he did not want to miss his fuinjutsu training for that much time. Kushina also agreed to him, since Naruto was also leaving then she has no reason to stay in the village.

Next morning Sasuke send his shadow clone to accompany team-7 for their mission, while he followed them secretly with Kushina. Kakashi showed up right on time for the mission, which was surprising for both Sakura and Naruto. Meanwhile Naruto was very happy to get out of the village for the first time in his life.
