Hideout

Kuro teleported with the two of them to the part Karin could sense, and then she used the ability again.

"Eh... This place can collect Natural Energy from outside..." Shiori looked up as she said in surprise.

Kuro looked at her. "What do you mean?"

"Well... The little Natural Energy from the environment joins with that of the Island as it moves, like a broom." She pointed to the surroundings. "The large vegetation of the place and the huge beasts you mentioned are surely because the Natural Energy has been here for quite some time."

At that moment, Karin opened her eyes and looked at both of them. "I couldn't sense anyone on the island."

Kuro nodded. "Maybe he's not, but use the ability whenever you have a chance. On the Island there is a temple that prevents sensory abilities, it's possible that person is there."

"Okay." Karin nodded. "However, who is that guy you're talking about?"

Kuro started walking with Shiori on top of his head. "He's the Jinchuriki of the Eight-Tails, Killer B. He can fully use the Bijuu's powers, which makes him quite troublesome."

He had already told her the things she didn't know about, and one of those things was the Bijuu.

"The Eight Tails!?" Karin exclaimed in surprise as she walked beside him. "And if he can control it that well, wouldn't he be something more than 'Troublesome'?"

Karin sighed in relief and nodded.

Kuro didn't tell her about the power that the Tailed Beasts could become, so she was unaware of what they were fully capable of.

"Hm..." Shiori hummed.

Karin looked at her. "What is it?"

She shook her head. "I've heard Grandmother talk about a silly turtle sometimes, I just wondered if this was it. After all, it looks old enough."

"Oh..." Karin also looked around for a moment before looking at Kuro. "By the way, where are we going?"

"Killer B has a rather close relationship with the animals on the island. We'll avoid them as much as possible, so we'll stay near the edge of the island." Kuro replied.

Karin sighed in relief and nodded.

Kuro didn't tell her about the power that the Tailed Beasts could become, so she was unaware of what they were fully capable of.

-(Somewhere in the Land of Rice).

One of Kuro's clones was in disguise and was moving swiftly north.

In the Land of Rice is located the Village of Sound, and this is where the clones had come to look for Orochimaru's Laboratories.

Despite not being able to find any that time, Kuro would still send some clones to investigate, and they would leave a Mark before disappearing and passing on the information.  

The process continued until Kuro got the information he needed and would send the Clone to investigate.

Kuro's target was the Northern Hideout belonging to Orochimaru, as that is where the research on the Cursed Mark was conducted.

He is not interested in having one of his own, he simply wants to use the body of the White Zetsu he has in inventory to do something similar, except that it will only bring benefits to whoever has it.

The Mark he plans to make will accumulate the vitality of the White Zetsu and some other things to provide an extra level of regeneration, vitality and power.

Although it is mainly devised for Karin, which would give her more time to use the chains, more power and even aid in her regeneration.

Despite her innate vitality, the bite marks are still on her body, and the regeneration that the Mark is going to give her would help with that quite a bit.

Kuro already had a bit of information about the Cursed Mark when he got Orochimaru's techniques from Sasuke, but there was nothing related to its creation and composition, only how to put it on someone.    

In the Northern Hideout, he hopes to find everything he needs to be able to create his own mark.

The Clone had just finished meditating to be at his peak and looked at what should be the hiding place.

It was built between some rather large stones and didn't seem very hidden.

He activated stealth to maximum and moved closer to look for the entrance.

After getting close enough, the Clone found a closed door and when he checked that there was no one around, he opened it and went down the spiral staircase.

...

'Doing it a little faster won't affect anyone...' He thought as he descended the staircase and activated Chakra Sense to the maximum.

The Clone detected many chakra signatures in what he assumed were prisons due to the nature of the hideout.

'No guards?' He thought after seeing that all the chakra signatures were at the same distance from each other and in an orderly pattern. 'Well I'll find out when I come down.'  The Clone jumped straight down.

His landing generated no sound and even with invisibility, he made his way to the area where he felt no chakra signatures.

The corridors were square and smooth, there were also metal doors locked with chains from time to time and there would almost always be a chakra signature behind them.

He moved a little away from the door and placed his hands in front of each other, with a small space between them.

A cube appeared between his hands and after a moment, he threw it towards the door. 

*Whoosh!* The cube expanded to completely encompass the door and made it disappear cleanly.

The Clone activated invisibility again and entered the room full of shelves with marked drawers.
