Fuinjutsu and Jounin exams

I had obtained the shadow clone jutsu I went to the library and went to the beginner section and picked out Fuinjutsu basics. I went to to training ground 3 and flickered into a tree found a sturdy trunk and began to read. I read through the book and many things came to mind from my extensive research from my past life. 'My understanding of Fuinjutsu is alright I still love the system if I remember.'

'Fuinjutsu is, quite literally, the art of sealing an object, chakra, etc inside another object. The said "thing" can then also be unsealed. There is also a 3rd core feature of Fuinjutsu that many people overlook: Restrict/Restrain.

Fuinjutsu can also be used in conjunction with Barrier Ninjutsu to create techniques known as Sealing Barriers. An example of this is Orochimaru vs. Sarutobi, as well as the 4 Hokage's Barrier against the 10-tails.

Seal/Unseal is pretty self-explanatory.

Restrict/Restrain is pretty vague though, and not many examples were given in the manga for us to go off of.

The most famous example of Fuinjutsu using the power of restrict/restrain is Kushina's Adamantine Sealing Chains. It halts/restricts the chakra flow of whomever they ensnare. This is why it was so easy for her to keep the Nine-Tails confined. No chakra = no power.

This principle can actually be applied to medical uses with a bit of creative thinking.

Someone is bleeding out on the battlefield? Slap a seal on them to restrict the blood flow to the wounded area. Or, if necessary, completely restrain the blood flow to an extremity as a shinobi tourniquet.

Using Sealing and Barrier Ninjutsu, you could create a statis field, completely halting everything or anyone inside, allowing you to either wait for proper medical attention or if you just need an hour or two to recharge enough chakra to finish treatment.

In regards to non-medical usage for Fuinjutsu, the possibilities are endless. There's a common misconception in the fandom that Fuinjutsu can literally do anything. It can't. Ninjutsu is by far the catch-all for anything outside the "norm."

But, if you stick to the in-universe laws, you can still make fuinjutsu pretty damn OP.

You can create scrolls for all 5 basic elements. Ninjutsu specialists wouldn't be able to do shit against you. They fire an elemental technique, you seal it up. Then, you point your scroll at them and fire their technique right back at them.

You can seal their chakra up, making them completely defenseless.

You can trap them in a sealing barrier.

You can seal away any projectiles they throw at you. Minato can't really teleport to you if his FTG kunai just got sealed into the abyss, can he?'

'The tricky part about writing a sealing master is coming up with ways using the 3 core functions of Fuinjutsu in a creative way.' The basics of Fuijutsu just explain how it works I'm going to go get some real symbols to study I came back to the training ground with the five-element symbols. I made three shadow clones and made them start studying While they did that I went to greet the new Hokage Minato.

I flickered toward the Hokages office and arrived of course I checked in with everyone I didn't wanna just appear in front of someone I didn't know.

Minato looked at me and greeted me, "I'm lord fourth or Minato it is nice to meet you" glancing at me immersed in paperwork already.

I kneeled, "I am Arashi Shizukesa and I see the lord fou-"!

"Oh, so you're the Arashi I have been hearing about"? As Minato was raising his head to get a better look at Arashi he froze. 'It's the pi-... I mean guy from Ichiraku, h...h...he's that guy that looks like he's never eaten in his life!'

Arashi was looking intensely at Minato's face and saw some shock, 'What is he shocked about ... Did I do something wrong Hopefully I didn't mess up my first impression.'

Minato put his fist to his mouth and faked coughing. "So, you're the Arashi I've been hearing about from Hiruzen," he said. "He was telling me about all of your exploits and how you've been excelling. I've also read your files, and I want you to take part in the jounin exams."

"Jounin exams?" Arashi questioned.

"Yeah, it's nothing for you. I can sense your strength keenly, It's overdue". 'I've also seen how you eat your food. It's not going to be too hard for you to pass.'

Minato's face suddenly tensed. "While the Third War is over, we don't know what the other villages have planned. While we're trying to get the other villages to sign for peace, we need all the combatants we can get," Minato said, resting his chin on his hands.

Arashi nodded and said, "Alright, when do the exams start?"

"In 2 months," Minato said. "I will give you free rein. You can train or take missions; it doesn't matter. But make sure to be safe."
