"Hah… Hah... Go and gather all the corpses in one place," said Michikatsu to his clones. His clones nodded and went to collect the fallen Sunagakure Anbu corpses.

Soon, Michikatsu's heavy breathing began to calm down, and as he returned to his normal state, his clones had assembled all the bodies in front of him. Michikatsu nodded, and before long, all the Anbu ninja bodies were enveloped by the shadow released from his body, known as the 'Blood Demon Art: Umbrakinesis.'

Witnessing Nawaki's sudden disappearance, the pursuers became alert, suspecting that it might be an ambush orchestrated by Konoha ninjas.

Just as the Sunagakure Anbu ninjas were devising their next move, Nakamura Jonin appeared behind them. Before they could react, Nakamura swiftly killed one of them, while another Chunin engaged in a taijutsu battle with Nakamura.

Within seconds, the Chunin was also defeated in the battle against Nakamura. Nakamura chose to spare the Chunin's life, perhaps for some unknown purpose.

"Are you alright, Nawaki? I rushed here as soon as I heard the sounds of fighting," Nakamura inquired as he walked toward Nawaki.

"Where is Michikatsu and Matsuda? I don't see them with you," Nakamura inquired further.

"Matsuda ran away, and Michikatsu is still engaged in combat with the Sunagakure Anbu," Nawaki explained.

"Matsuda ran away? What about you? Are you also retreating?" Nakamura questioned.

"Michikatsu asked me to leave. He believes he can handle them, and I would only be a hindrance," Nawaki replied.

"So, you left him alone? How can he fight a team of Anbu ninjas by himself, especially when they have more than one Jonin among them?" Nakamura asked, now very close to Nawaki.

"Leave Nakamura Jonin for now. First, answer me: How do you know that there are more than one Jonin among the Sunagakure Anbu ninjas who attacked us?" Nawaki demanded.

"Oh! I got so caught up in my character of kind Jonin that my tongue slipped," Nakamura replied. His smile disappeared and his face turned cold and expressionless as he swung the kunai in his hand, attempting to strike Nawaki.

Nawaki had been on high alert since Michikatsu's warning upon Nakamura's arrival. As a result, he deftly parried Nakamura's attack with his own kunai.

You're quite alert, but it's just a matter of time before you can no longer evade." However, just as he intended to continue his attack on Nawaki, Matsuda's head came rolling down to his feet. Nakamura was taken aback by seeing the head of Matsuda and glanced in the direction from which it had come. At first, only a silhouette was visible, but it soon became clear that it was none other than Michikatsu. Michikatsu walked towards them, holding his sword, with blood dripping from it.

"How did you return alive? Weren't you surrounded by the Sunagakure Anbu," Nakamura inquired.

"The answer is quite simple, don't you think? I just killed them, that's all," Michikatsu replied. He then tossed two pots in Nakamura's direction and conjured another pot, which he placed beside himself.

"But it's impossible for you to kill Matsuda so easily without me noticing," Nakamura refuted.

"You know, killing you ROOT ninjas is the easiest thing for me. All I have to do is ask you a question that reveals the content of your mission, and you'll be dead. Just like I asked Matsuda who sent him to kill us. He only managed to say 'Da...' before he was killed due to the curse mark on his tongue," Michikatsu explained.

"So you're quite well-informed about the ROOT organization. It seems White Fang tells you everything," Nakamura observed.

"Yes, you could say that," Michikatsu replied.

"Then there's even more reason to kill you. I can't let you leave here alive," Nakamura asserted.

"Oh, what gives you the confidence that you can take me on alone when all the Sunagakure ninjas were unable to defeat me?" Michikatsu taunted.

"I am not weak," Nakamura declared, and he vanished using the 'Body Flicker Technique.' He reappeared in front of Michikatsu, swinging his sword. However, Michikatsu also disappeared, and Nakamura's sword cut through nothing but air.

"Where are you swinging your sword, Mr. Nakamura? I'm right here," came Michikatsu's voice from behind Nakamura. When Nakamura turned around, he saw Michikatsu standing there with a playful smile.

"How? I'm certain it wasn't the 'Body Flicker Technique.' But whatever the case, today, no one can save you," Nakamura stated confidently.

Michikatsu remained silent. Just as Nakamura was preparing to launch a second attack, Michikatsu disappeared and reappeared behind Nakamura, slashing at him. However, Michikatsu's attack speed was not sufficient, and Nakamura reacted swiftly to counter Michikatsu's assault, slashing back at him with incredible speed.
