"Well, Eiji-chan, how about we talk for a few minutes before that?" The woman had a gentle smile on her face... until she activated the Sharingan.

"What the hell did I do? This Sharingan is unnecessary..." Eiji began to look for some reason to be in this mess; he glanced at Kushina and realized she couldn't be trusted. She just sat quietly on the distant couch while whistling.

"She left me in the mouth of a wolf." He instantly realized the betrayal.

"What do you want to talk about, Mikoto-nee?" Since there was no way to run, he decided to face this war like a MAN!

The woman in front of him was Mikoto Uchiha. She was a very kind and loving woman, but she could also be severe and strict when needed, which was what he feared.

Mikoto was a fair-skinned woman with long black hair, with bangs hanging on both sides of her face to frame her cheeks and black eyes. She wore a brown blouse, a dark purple skirt, blue Shinobi sandals, and considerably longer bangs on each side of her face.

"You know, lately I've received several reports and some very interesting complaints, can you guess what it is?" She asked with a smile, but it seemed like a demon asking about his sins. Her Sharingan was activated every second.

He started to wonder if he ever did anything to provoke her, but to his dismay, he couldn't remember anything.

"I can't figure out what it would be." If he didn't remember, then nothing happened, right?

"Hnnnn."

She just studied him for a few minutes, and he started feeling uncomfortable.

"So, what do you say about courting my niece? Also known to everyone as the Uchiha princess?" She questioned me.

"What?" His brain stopped functioning. "Your niece? Kiyomi?" He couldn't believe it.

Mikoto simply nodded. "Yes, Kiyomi Uchiha, the Uchiha princess, my dear niece. I've heard numerous reports of a boy actively courting her all the time."

She paused for a few seconds and continued. "I was surprised to find out it was you, the boy from the hot springs, you know? Many elders and Uchihas don't like it at all," she said with a passive expression. He couldn't decipher anything about it.

"And what's wrong with me courting someone I like?" Eiji decided to take a bold step.

"You like her?" Mikoto asked, testing his determination.

"Yes, I fell in love with her as soon as I saw her."

"Aaahhhhh, so cute!" Kushina shouted.

"Shut up, Kushina, you're not helping." Mikoto suppressed Kushina in a second. The latter slumped back into the chair, dejected.

"I know about your achievements in the academy, but that's not enough for you to have a relationship with her." Mikoto shook her head in denial.

"Too?" He didn't understand why; his mind was still in modern times, and he hadn't fully adapted to this new lifestyle.

"Forming with the highest grades of all time is splendid, but it's not enough to have my niece's hand, not that I disagree. But the clan wouldn't accept it," Mikoto calmly explained.

She had already done her homework and thoroughly researched this young man in front of her, and she liked him a lot.

"Clan policies, our clan doesn't accept marriages with a stranger to preserve the Uchiha lineage, but there are 2 exceptions to that, and you currently meet neither of them." Despite her sharp and severe words, she wasn't unreasonable.

He didn't lose heart; anything goes in war and love. He'd even kill the Hokage if necessary.

"What are the exceptions?"

"War achievements or being one of the most powerful Shinobi in Konoha, which replaces the achievements, or a lineage as good as the Uchiha's."

"A good lineage, huh?" He murmured.

"I don't think you have one since you're a Hatake, so you only have one." Mikoto misunderstood Eiji's murmur.

The room fell silent for a few seconds. Kushina started looking at him with sad eyes, as if he had already lost any chance of success.

"I have a third alternative," he spoke cunningly.

Mikoto raised her eyebrows in surprise and doubt, "Third? What do you propose?" Was he trying to make a deal with her? That audacity, but she liked it.

"What do you know about the Sharingan and the Second Hokage?" He asked; he would take full advantage of the knowledge he gained in his world here. It was as if he was betraying to get married...

Mikoto was caught off guard and took a sip of her tea as she thought, he just waited in silence.

—Where is he going with this? Mikoto thought. It's almost ironic that a mere boy is asking such questions to the matriarch of the Uchihas.

'He has some of the best knowledge about doujutsus today, he has several abilities that enhance the user's combat prowess.'

"The Second Hokage, huh? I'm not sure what to say, I never met him. But I believe he was an excellent Shinobi," Mikoto answered, sounding somewhat politically.

"What you said is right and wrong!" He stated.

'He doesn't sound anything like a child talking.' She noticed that. "What do you mean by that?" She didn't expect it to come to this.

'Art of discussion number 1, take control of the conversation,' he mentally murmured.

"You know that the Second Hokage hated the Uchiha, right?"

"Yes."

"But do you know why?"

That made her think for a moment, and all she could think of was one answer. "Because of past lasting wars, where my clan killed several people he knew. He also feared our eyes." She said as if it were obvious.

"Right and wrong again. He didn't hate all of you just for being an Uchiha or having a Sharingan, do you know what he called the Sharingan?" He questioned. He searched through countless books but never managed to find anything about these things in this world.

It was as if it was forgotten or intentionally erased.

"The eyes of emotion, many say that Uchihas only hate or get moody because they have those faces as if they ate shit or often have no expression, but that's all bullshit—"

"Hahahahahahah ate shit, that was wonderful, Eiji-chan." Kushina started laughing.

"Ahem."

"Continuing, it's all utter nonsense," he concluded.

Mikoto's eyes widened the more Eiji spoke. 'He seems to understand our clan more than we do, how is that possible? And how does he know so much about the Second Lord?'

"The Sharingan also has another name, do you know what it is?"

Mikoto shook her head.

"The eyes that reflect love."

Mikoto raised an eyebrow, but didn't say anything; she felt she would learn a lot here today, regardless of where he got this information.

"Just as love comes hatred, think of them as two sides of the same coin, Uchihas value love more than anyone else, care more than anyone else, but when you lose your refuge, your

love, what's left?"

"Hatred," Mikoto understood where he was going.

"Exactly, just hatred. That's why the Second Hokage didn't trust the Uchihas beyond Kagami Uchiha; he wanted to break the cycle of Uchiha hatred."

"How do you know all this?" Her eyes were sharp as knives.

"Ninja secret," he answered.

"It's no use pushing if he doesn't want to talk," Mikoto sighed.

"When an Uchiha dives into the darkness of the Curse of Hatred, even the slightest hint or mention of anything connected, even remotely, to the person whose death made them lose themselves, would make them extremely irritable and emotional. The problem with the Sharingan is that to activate it, you have to go through traumatic experiences. And that's where hatred comes in; you feel useless, weak, helpless, unsuccessful, so what do you want the most out of all this?" Eiji continued.

"Power," she said.

"If I had power, I could have saved her. If I had power, I could have done something. If I had power, I could kill the culprit. It all comes down to power; that's where you lose yourself in the cycle of hatred."

"It's true..." She finally understood everything, but her doubts about how he knew all this only increased.

"But I think there's a way to work around that and your problem with the village," I said, confident that it would work. Mikoto had turned off her Sharingan long ago.

"Is it that obvious?" She sighed; this problem had arisen with some rumors here and there. It brought a headache to her and her husband.

"Not very, but to understand when the Uchihas go through civilians, the atmosphere is a little strange." He had witnessed it personally.

"I don't think you'll give me this information for free, what do you want?" She wasn't a fool; she had already realized what he wanted.

"Credits to your clan and the right to be in a relationship with Kiyomi if she accepts, without your clan interfering, of course," he gave a malicious smile.

'That brat,' she smiled.

'I liked him, but... intelligent people tend to die early or go crazy early.' She was worried.
