Chapter 37

"What's the motive?" Tsunade asked, smiling; she didn't believe that Fugaku really thought that marriage was a bad thing. In fact, she downright recalled the reason behind the happening.

"My dad wants me to marry this Mikoto girl. The whole thing is convoluted, really...But to make it simple, she's got great genes and ancestry...My parents also have a lasting friendship with hers, so they want us to pop out powerful babies..." Fugaku explained with an annoyed face.

"What's the problem, then? Is she not to your liking?" Tsunade smirked internally.

"I told you, I don't believe in marriage. Especially not arranged marriages." Fugaku sighed again and said.

"And why would that be?" Tsunade inquired again.

"Well, let's see...Mikoto's ten, and I'm sixteen. So that's one thing." Fugaku said.

"What's the other?" Tsunade asked patiently. She knew the big reason, the problem was about to come out.

"..." Fugaku scowled before saying. "I'm focused on training. I also caught Mikoto with another guy."

"Caught?" Tsunade almost burst out loud. "Doing what?"

"Kissing," Fugaku said with a begrudging face.

"Oh my..." Tsunade pretended to be shocked when she put her hand over her mouth. "That's certainly bad..."

"Tell me about it." Fugaku snorted, thinking Tsunade cared.

"Then again, what are you mad about?" Tsunade was brutal and asked.

"What?" Fugaku raised his brows, surprised by her question.

"Are you two dating or in an intimate relationship already?" Tsunade was brutal again when she said. "It isn't cheating unless you have something with her...Or do you like her perhaps?"

"What?! How could I like such a loose woman?!" Fugaku stood and exclaimed angrily.

"Little girl." Tsunade corrected.

"Girl?! She's certainly not acting like a girl! How could her mindset be worthy of my stature?" Fugaku was a genius. An angry genius.

His two tomoe sharingan was showing his growing anger when he heard Tsunade chuckle and say with not a so patient tone,

"Boy, change the tone you use in this house. Don't forget yourself..."

"...I-I'm sorry," Fugaku recalled who Tsunade was when he sat and said.

"Now, if you want my opinion, I can give one that won't please you. But if you came here to ask me a favor, you'll have to show the proper care." Tsunade announced, hiding her inner sadistic joy. She was about to make Mikoto work for what she wanted. Though she liked the indecisive little girl in the old life, she recalled some messed-up stuff she did. Not just to Fugaku but to the relationship between Minato and Kushina before they married.

Though she and the latter became inseparable best friends on their first meeting, the Uchiha wasn't as prim and proper as she appeared at first glance.

Kushina often forgave her for a lot of stuff. She was Kushina's true counterpart. Hence why they were best friends.

They were so amusing that Tsunade secretly dubbed them the *cat-raising crank* and the *self-collected floozy*.

Kushina was an irritable, loud, and socially averse nagger. Without Minato, she'd probably have turned into a cat-raising old girl.

As for Mikoto, she was the complete opposite.

"Are you asking me to beg?" Not dumb, Fugaku understood Tsunade's meaning. However, he wasn't exactly right.

"Beg? I can't eat your begging." Tsunade mocked. How could he think that all he had to do was to beg, and she would go run to her teacher for such a huge favor?

"Then what do you want?" Fugaku scowled.

Seeing him remain so cool, Tsunade understood that right now, he was probably really mad at Mikoto. But that wasn't her problem. Mikoto was barely ten and was already like this...If he wasn't blind, he'd rebel against his parents early...

Wondering if Sasuke and Itachi were the guy's children, she asked seriously, "Could your fiancee descend from one of Madara's relatives?"

The Uchihas were secret and kept a lot of history to themselves. Even more after Madara's *death*.

Although she learned much about Konoha in the old life, this was one of the mysteries Tsunade never uncovered. Because she was curious, she asked.

Useful or interestingly useless information was absolutely something she could eat.

"I'm not too sure...But this seems likely actually..." Fugaku replied, a bit taken aback, "Why?"

"Do your research and come back to see me." Tsunade stood and snorted. Leaving the room, she added, "Come have dinner. Nawaki'll probably be glad to see you."

Somewhere, a frontier in the five Shinobi nations,

Inside a great canyon's secret cave,

"Begone, mutt," Eyeing one of his aggravating servants, Madara said. "Stop blocking the way."

"Yes, Madara-sama." In the cave where Madara was working and reaching for a drawer, one of several white Zetsus said zealously. He didn't look offended by the naturally foul language of his master.

Everything was going as usual until Black Zetsu rose out from the ground.

"What's wrong?" Madara noticed something immediately. This was the only servant he cared about.

"M-My connection with..." Black Zetsu was so panicked that he almost made a blunder and started saying...His connection with his mother, Kaguya, had suddenly vanished.

He also had a bad feeling in his guts. Something terrible seemed to have happened to his mother.

He was hoping it wasn't as bad as he imagined.

"Your connection with?" Madara frowned.

Black Zetsu was about to reply, but then Madara surprised everyone gathered in the enormous cave.

Scowling suddenly, Madara suddenly yelled out, "Nooooo!!!!"

"What's wrong?!" Black Zetsu was stunned. He'd never seen that idiot make such a face.

"My eyes!!! Impossible!!!" Madara's eyes had turned into the eternal Mangekyo.

"What's wrong with your eyes?" Black Zetsu had another bad feeling...

Listening to what Madara said about the Rinnegan next, he blacked out for the first time in thousand years.

He didn't know what suddenly happened, but it felt as if karma was ganging up on them for something.

Black Zetsu had lived long, so he knew karma and how real it was.
