Trill school and a surprise

Sota woke up from the yell of the men. He first didn't wanna wake up, but then saw that his roommates all stood up instantly and he knew that not standing up would be bad. Why else would 3 and a half year olds stand up that fast? So he put on his clothes, which were just grey pants, shirt and socks. Everybody basically wore the same. His roommates left towards the dinner table so Sota followed. Arriving there he already saw the girls sitting there and a light breakfast on the table. The man was surprised to see him with the other boys.

(The men): "Oh, they informed you what happens when you don't listen to me instantly."

(Sota thoughts): "Wow, I already suspected this to be some trill school, but that they would be that strict is a bit extreme."

(Sota talking): "Yes, Sir!"

All his roommates looked wiredly in his direction but nobody said anything. They then sat down and started to eat breakfast. After that the men ordered us to clean the table and put everything on the wagon, which then to be put on the hallway in front of our gathering room. After the breakfast was taken care of, he then pulled out a couple boxes and handed out stuff from them, which Sota identified as basic school supplies. Everybody became the same amount of stuff and a box to store it in.

(The men): "Now that your group is actually complete, I will start to teach you reading, writing, basic maths and other common knowledge for the next 2 years. The lessons will be in this order everyday: reading, maths, writing and then common knowledge. After everybody learns to read and write, I will start to teach the theoreticals of the Shinobi job."

And so the lessons started. The first couple of weeks Sota tried to make it out that he learns to read and write really quickly but on purpose failed maths badly to not look like a genius. And so after to the surprise of his instructor he was able to read nearly everything in 4 months.

(The instructor): "So because your are already capable of reading and your writing is just lacking behind a bit, you can now read whatever you like during the time I teach the others"

So now with the approval of his instructor he started to read books from the bookshelf in the gathering room. He would basically do only that, if he didn't have other lessons, and never leave the room. At this time every other child in his group would not talk one word with him. He knew they talked about him behind his back because of the looks he got from them. He cared little about that, for him it meant more time reading and understanding more about the new world he was living in. But one day the instructor approached him.

(The instructor): "Do you ever leave this room or do you read here everyday?"

Sota was surprised that the men would even talk to him after the lessons.

(Sota talking): "No, Sir. I just like to read."

(The instructor): "Boy, from tomorrow on you are not allowed to read and have to go outside. I do not want to see you here between the lessons and the bell ring, did you understand me?"

(Sota talking): "Yes Sir"

Sota had seen a couple of times what it meant when you did something against the orders of the instructor. A light beating or having to sleep on the floor without a blanket were the most harmless punishments you would get. So Sota just sighed inwardly and decided that it was time to leave his books behind and see what the outside had to give.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Now it is the next day, the instructor just finished the lessons and was staring at Sota. Sota knew that he was waiting for him to go outside. He did that and arrived at a large backyard.

There are some trees here and there, some bushes but mostly short grass formed the backyard. He saw the children from the other groups. Some of them were at least 2 years older than his group but most of them were not older than that. He concludes that the oldest one should be from the first group. After also seeing what probably was the body transformation Kekkei Genkai group, he was happy to be in his group. Some of the other groups also started to notice him. But after some of his group talked with them they quickly lost interested in him. They started to play normal kids games. Catch, something with a ball and even some of the older kids had the coloured wooden swords, kunais and shurikens.

After observing them for a couple of minutes his gaze fell on one girl.

(Sota thoughts): "This just became really interesting..."
