Chapter 6: Howard's Accident
Meanwhile, in stark industries, Howard stark is sitting in his office with a scotch in hand having a loud conversation with Obadiah Stane over the newest project.
Obadiah growls at Howard as he waves a folder in hand " Stark how come you won't listen to me if we just redesign the Earthmovers we are looking at millions of dollars if we sell it to the army!"
Howard however was not having it and took a swing from his drink. " Obadiah we have been through this before, I made this company to build tech that will help improve people's lives not to make weapons, and last time I checked this is still my company."
Obadiah huffs and storms off irritable and as he does a few yes men follow him with papers in their hands. " Sir we managed to complete the task you asked of us we convinced Donnie Gill in Cryogenics as well as Bruno Horgan in the Physics department to defect to our company when you leave sir we also got that head of security you wanted."
Obadiah smirks and pauses looking at his henchmen. " Very good it was Anton Vanko right I hear he comes highly recommended but don't forget to try and get some of the engineers before we pull off my plan."
Obadiah then heads off to his office after waving off the two henchmen. Meanwhile, after Obadiah left Howard's office Howard sighed and hit a button on his desk, and a voice calls out. " Yes sir how can I help you?"
"Yes, Tricia can you make sure that the jet is ready I'll be leaving in an hour, and can you call the dig site and let them know my eta also let them know that I'll have the ring with me." Howard then leaves his office and prepares to head to the tarmac
After an hour and a half, Howard is in his jet reading over his research on the ring in detail the datapad showing that the ring and the ruins he is heading to are somehow connected but Howard frowns as he is still unable to figure out how.
Howard then looks at the case that he is carrying with him and smiles slightly. " Well hopefully I am right and my newest invention can help me crack how these two things correlate to one another."
Just then in a flash of blinding light and large Armoured being appears wearing a purple ring on his finger but before Howard can be shocked it speaks in a dark deep voice. " Howard Stark where is the ring?"
Howard spaces out slightly but does notice the purple ring on the armored figure. " Hey is that another ring how did you find it if you could I would really like to study it."
Just then the Armored being grabs him and pins him to the wall of the jet. " I won't ask again where is the ring?" Howard refuses to answer knowing that this being is up to no good.
" Defiant till the end very well then you have no further use to me goodbye Howard." The mandarin snaps Howard's neck with ease before teleporting into the aviator cabin and before the pilots even realized they were killed and the mandarin disappears with Howard's research.
