Chapter 4: Tutorial Run
John is now feeling better and decides to head out of the infirmary and across campus heading to his next class which he remembers is theater as he has already finished his engineering class for the day.
All the while the system was taking him through the tutorial explaining that it can handle most requests as long as it can complete them and also letting him know about the task system.
* Alright host the point of the task system is an almost automatic system that will hand out tasks for you to complete and after you complete them it will reward you I have no control over this aspect of the mask system at all and can only help you hide the display.*
The system continues to explain but John quickly interrupts its explanation for a second. * Wait, hold up a second system first I would like it if you stop calling me host it's weird I would rather you call me John second I thought you were the system how do you not control yourself?*
John hears the system reply in his head as he makes it to the building that holds his next class and continues walking to the classroom. * Updating, alright John set as the primary username. As for your question John although I am the system I am only part of myself I am in charge of troubleshooting and supporting you.*
John stops briefly and blinks before continuing. * So you are what like the help desk while the rest of you runs everything?* The system continues explaining * Exactly John you get a general idea, so let's continue the tutorial the tasks will reward you and give you things that will be useful to you eventually giving you one of the many powered masks*
* The more tasks you complete the more there are and they will get harder over time to reward you with better stuff ranging from items to gear to masks and even money. It can even unlock better functions for you to use as time goes on.*
Just as the system finishes going over the basic tutorial John noticed the task box reappears with a check next to the first task and then the first task disappears and another takes its place. [ Reach your next class before the bell rings in 10 minutes, Reward: Starter pack of MP and a new task]
John after reading the new task goes wide-eyed and quickly calculates if it's possible and finds out if he runs almost nonstop it was indeed doable, with a small window of time to spare and he immediately starts to run down the near-empty halls careful to slow down if he spots a teacher till they are out of sight.
And as John gets into the theater class huffing and puffing the whole class looks at him and a few people snicker at him as he sits in his seat just as the bell rings and in his head, a different ding could be heard and he could see that the MP bar now said 50/50.
