Chapter 14:Pepper's Perilous Predicament 2
Pepper quickly sighs as she sees that the men below started to look up at her. Knowing that the jig is up pepper quickly collects her nearby equipment before dropping something grenade-shaped while running across the beam and heading onto the roof of the dilapidated warehouse.
Everyone there sees the object fall and thinks that it is something dangerous and quickly takes cover and after a few seconds of nothing looks at it again only to see a rock painted with "Cya" on it.
"well well, it would seem that you gentlemen were followed now I hope I don't have to remind you what would happen if word got out that we are working together so chop chop" after saying such the middle management man gets up and gestures to his bodyguards before leaving the warehouse as well.
"Don't you worry we got this have a safe trip." unicorn says before turning to Herman "we will talk about your stunt later move your asses and capture that girl and for the love of god don't kill her the boss will want to know who she works for." unicorn then glares at the rest of the grunts and soon 5 guys plus Herman chase after Pepper.
Meanwhile, Pepper while running across the roof and using parkour climbs over the ledge and jumps down to a metal pole holding a light before jumping down to the ground and hitting a small button on her phone that sends a message to Rhody it simply says " Got in over my head and could really use some Help".
After landing, Pepper starts heading toward the location of her escape route but as she turns the corner she leaps over a nearby barrel and then slides under the blades of a parked forklift before sprinting off toward the exit.
After making it to the end of her route what awaits her is the group of Maggia grunts and the soon-to-be-named Shocker. "Nowhere to run girly better to just come quietly or we are gonna have to rough you up," calls Shocker as he acts all cocky due to his new tech.
Meanwhile, across town, as Rhody was just about to get ready for bed as he had plans to hang out again with tony tomorrow a message from Pepper appears on his phone thinking that it is once again something about how dense Tony is. He checks the message only to freeze the next second and immediately calls Tony praying that he is still up.
As the call connects before Tony could even say hellos Rhody speaks up. " Tony Quick find Peppers's current location I just got a text that she is in trouble and before you say you feel sorry for the other guy, I mean it Tony she sent that text!" Tony was indeed about to say something similar to that but immediately narrows his eyes and called out.
" Jarvis get me the current location of Pepper Potts now and prep the suit" Jarvis could be heard from the phone as Rhody listens in " Yes sir locating Badass hot spy chick and readying the suit" causing him the let out a small chuckle, Tony may have been able to hide the AI from him but Pepper must have already known about it and set up this small prank for Tony.
Unknown to Rhody instead of being shocked or laughing Tony smiles " Don't worry Rhody I'm on my way" and with that hangs up before calling out to Jarvis as he gets into the Iron man armor " Jarvis hows the progress on operation Get a hot spy Girlfriend also send the data to my hud.
" Right away sir also might I suggest letting her in on the whole identity thing after all she will find out eventually." Tony laughs before replying" That's half the fun though" before taking off.
Meanwhile, Peppers fight or flight kicks in, and while the goon is acting cocky she quickly charges the group confusing them slightly before pulling out her taser and hitting the man with tech immediately making him convulse on the ground due to the electrical current which wakes up the grunts as two get close and swing at her with pipes.
