There is no way she's staying at mine!

All of us went to sleep feeling anxious. I was still dazed by the confusion that had been the confession.

Moonlight slipped through the window, barely illuminating the room. Bedsheets were crumpled from the amount of times I had rolled over. A pile of books lay sprawled out next to me. The clock read 23:45.

A sudden burst of light was blinding, as I heard hurried footsteps draw nearer. Rustling of sheets sounded distant, yet felt near. Then it was dark again. The books still lay where they were and the moon still seeped through the gap in the curtain. I felt a warm sensation spread throughout my body. A hand lay on my neck and a face was buried in my chest, a body was entangled with mine. It looked like a stream that ran down her back, the light blue blended in with the room. I pulled the face from my chest. It was the girl from the cave. Her rosy cheeks had three gills on either side; her eyes sparkled the same blue as her hair and her lips looked delicate.

"Why are you in my room?" I asked, too tired to pull her off.

"Well I just wanted to sleep with Darling!"

Huuuuuuuuh!? What the-

"Isn't it a bit rude to climb into someones, who doesn't know you, bed?"

"Oh, my name is Sakura! Nice to meet you!" She said with a stupid smile plastered on her beautiful face.

"Ok, well I'm not Darling, I'm Yato kazuma. And also..." I took a deep breath. "GET OUT OF MY ROOM!!"

The others immediately woke and hurried to me. Rio was the first to slam the door and jump on me.

"What's wrong Dar-" Then her face shrouded with hatred as her eyes connected with Sakura's. A dangerous smile spread across her face and killing intent leaked from her.

Choosing to ignore them, I flipped the covers then went to sleep.

The racket caused from the one-sided arguement that was unfolding behind me was horrible. The sleep that I had been deprived of was never to be seen again. They screeched like crows.

I resisted the urge to smack them and instead I threw them out of my room, sending them off with:

"DON'T COME BACK!!"

Giant purple bags lay waste under my tired eyes. My body ached as I lazily listened to Sakura's story...

"I don't know where I came from exactly-I think I lost my memories of before I came here... While i was here, I nested in that cave, making it my home.

"Even though I possessed the same appearance and shape of a human female, the people from the beach look at me, disgusted by my existence. I wished I was dead. Painful headaches plagued my days from there on out, trying to twist my mind, but nothing came of it.

"That's until I met you guys yesterday... The non-stop headaches finally vanished. I was happy, yet I couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness.

"Retreating to my cave, I found you, Darli-"

"First of all, I'm not your Darling. Second of all, why did you hang around on this beach if no humans ever visited?" I said, sleepily.

Sakura twirled her thumbs.

"It's fine if yo-"

"It's ok. I think-I think it was because I felt part of my past was hidden in that cave..." She had a sad smile stretched on her face.

"Beautiful girls shouldn't look so down," I said while wiping her tears. "I don't want to see that smile forced like that again!"

--------------------silence------------------------

Oh crap! I just said something really embarrassing! Oh no, what do I do?

I looked back at Sakura, her face was just as red and transcendent into a darker shade as we awkwardly made eye contact. Nami and Rio both looked as though they about to lose it; both bit their nails out of frustration. Meiwaku and Fuji stifled a laugh while dodging my glares.

"T-thank you, Darling!" She could no longer hold up the dam as tears flooded her heart.

I resisted the urge to join her:

"Stop calling me Darling, stupid..."

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

"Calm down Rio and Yato." My mother said as she and my sister opened the door to the spare room.

"Ugh. I'm putting my foot down! Rio was enough trouble on her own, I don't need another nuisance." Rio looked at me with pitiful eyes, horrified that she'd just been called trouble by her lover.

"Well anyway... YEAH! I won't let this witch come between me and Darling! No wayyyyyyyy!" Rio pouted. She hurried to my/her room , stropping like a child that had been deprived of its candy.

"Please take of me from now on!"

"Fine! Whatever!" I turned around, burying my truly embarrassed face in my shirt.

"I hope you'll keep this sincere smile on my face!" Sakura yelled after me.

My head was on fire.

I heard my mother and sister talking about how manly I have become as I closed my room door behind me.

Sighing, opening my eyes, I saw the most amazing sight that is known to man...
