Other teams, who were not far from the battle site, had heard the beast cry and were making their way toward them. Nyla's eyes widened in shock as she realized the same thing.
Rio looked over at the girl, who had a look of panic on her face while their kiss was still ongoing. They both knew that the other students were coming and that they had to get out of there quickly.
"Damn it, these annoying students are going to spoil my sweet moment with my darling." She cursed inwardly.
They separated from their passionate embrace, their lips still tingling from the intensity of their kiss, and a sense of urgency in their eyes. They knew that they had to move quickly if they wanted to avoid the other teams.
Without a word, they turned and ran in the opposite direction, towards the other side of the forest. The rain poured down around them, and the ground was slick with mud, but they didn't slow down.
