My Wife is a Spy

Six years after her brother was killed, Ying Yue finally became the top spy agent at Juyan Intelligence Agency. She leads a double life: a secretary by day, and a spy at night. However, after accidentally protecting her CEO boss on a shoot out, he suddenly has his eyes set on taking her as his wife! ***** It was Ying Yue who broke the tension with a light laugh. "I'm sorry Mr. Fei, I know I might sound absurd, but it sounded like you wanted to actually, really, be in a relationship with me." "It is not absurd." He cocked his head to one side. "I find you smart and attractive, and trust me, I do not remember being attracted to anyone else." Ying Yue's calm façade broke. She frowned, unable to understand what was going inside the brain of the great Fei Huangjin. She used to admire the man, but now she couldn't help wondering if the incident last night made him crazy. "Mr. Fei, I implore you not to make fun of me like this." "I'm not joking." "Yes, you are." She insisted. "Go on a date with me." "No." "And call me Huangjin." "I will not, Mr. Fei!" Her voice had already inched a notch higher. "Why not?"

Love you

Song Yinan took a step forward and then stopped. And then he turned the other way. He couldn't believe she could be so stupid as to do that. He hissed silently at the thoughts in his head. No, he shouldn't be weak-hearted like this. His so-called sister was willing to put her life on the line for that man, but she didn't feel the same way for him – her own brother. She didn't deserve his concern.

His grip on his own gun tightened.

Su Jianjun briefly glanced at Yinan who turned away at the sight of a bleeding Ying Yue. It was obvious to him that the man was fighting an inner battle. He must be thinking whether or not to help his sister. Su Jianjun's eyes shifted back to the sight of Fei Huangjin, looking pitiful as he gathered his bleeding wife close to his arms. Ahhh – now that was a sight to see.

"Behold the beautiful sight of a dying wife," he murmured just loud enough for the people in the room to hear. Fei Huangjin ignored him, but he didn't miss out the tick in the man's jaw.

Fei Huangjin kept his eyes on Ying Yue, who was drifting in and out of consciousness. "Hey, hey, stay with me," he mumbled. Both of her gunshot wounds were still bleeding heavily, and by the looks of it, she must have lost about a liter of blood by now. She needed to be brought to the hospital soon.

Her brain was getting even more muddled and she felt both pain and fatigue in her body. She had to tell him how she felt, though. She never said it enough when they still had the time, so she mustered enough strength to say those words now. "L-love... you." Her voice was low and soft, and her lips were weak, so she hoped that he had heard her.

Fei Huangjin stilled, and he felt an inexplicable sense of pain deep in his chest – as if someone had squeezed and wrung his heart out. He shook his head, and pulled her closer with his good arm. "Tell that to me later."

She wanted to smile at his words, but she was too weak to even do so now. Fei Huangjin... always so bossy even now. Her eyelids fluttered and they closed, her head lolling backwards as she lost consciousness.

"Hey," Fei Huangjin shook her gently. "Don't die on me Ying Yue!" He roared, but there was no response -- only her quiet breathing. His hands trembled, and his normally stoic face was full of anger and desperation. He let out an enraged cry, and then bit his lip to pull himself together.

"Jianjun." The man whose name was called glanced over to see Song Yinan speaking quietly with an ugly look on his face, his head still turned away from Ying Yue. "That's enough. Just kill him and spare her."

Su Jianjun's eyebrows lifted up. He couldn't really say he was surprised that Yinan couldn't bear seeing the girl get killed. He'd always been a little soft. "Well," he smiled eerily, "I won't kill her if you shoot me," he gestured to the gun that Song Yinan was holding.

The other man's brows furrowed and his ears turned red. What are you talking about? I won't do it."

Su Jianjun shrugged, "Well if you won't do it, then I will."

BANG!

Song Yinan staggered backwards, and his grip on his gun loosened, allowing it to fall to the ground with a smack. He looked at Su Jianjun with something in between surprise and disbelief, and then his hand came up to touch the middle of his chest. He was shot.

Yinan's knees buckled beneath him, and he slumped to the ground just as he found it harder to breathe. "Wh-why?" He wheezed.

"Did I not tell you?" Su Jianjun put on a thinking face. "Oh I didn't, did I?"

Song Yinan clutched at his chest. His airway must have been shot, because he felt like he was out of oxygen, like there was nothing coming in and out of his lungs.
