Five

Rosabella 's P.o.v

I look up and see Finn's face. He is even more handsome than I remember. I am not crazy, he is real. And that technically means that I belong to the vampire Clan.

" You're okay sweetheart," he says, kissing me on the forehead while he runs.

I try to speak, but no words come out. What do I even say to him? Why has he shown up now after all this time?

He stops running and arrives at a beautiful house. Gray walls and white shutters adorned the house, and the balcony was breath-taking. I see many cars parked in the driveway. He opens the door and runs me straight into the house.

"You brought us a gift," a man says.

I see two boys and two girls standing in the living room. They all have a shocked expression on their face, clearly this wasn't planned.

"Dominic, Cedric, Cassandra and Blair," Finn tells me, pointing to each of them.

"And they're all vampires?"

Everyone starts laughing, and I realize I ask a stupid question. Well, yeah they're all vampires, this is a vampire Clan.

"Yeah, love," says Finn with a smile.

"And she is coming home?" ask Dominic.

"We haven't really discussed it. I had to get her out of a situation", Finn answers.

"Oh I see," huffs Dominic.

"That sounds like an incredibly unpleasant situation," snickers Cedric.

"Stay out of my head guys," Finn snaps.

"Come on Rosabella, let's talk in my room," Finn says, looking down at me.

"I am fine to walk." I huff.

Finn drops his hold on me. My feet hit the floor. I feel wobbly and dizzy at first. I forgot how much I was actually drinking tonight. He wraps his arms around my waist to study me.

"You okay?" He asks. From behind me, I feel his breath on my neck.

"I am."

He leads me down a hallway. The hallway had deep red walls, and I couldn't help but get an eerie feeling walking down it.

We entered his room, and I was surprised at how normal it looks, how human it is. He didn't have a bed. Why would he?Even I knew that vampires didn't sleep. He has a couch in his room, though, and many shelves of books.

"Do you like to read?"

" It's my life line," he chuckles.

"The new world." As soon as I grab the book from the shelf, I read the title aloud.

"It's about Aliens," he smiles.

"I could tell by the cover." A vampire who reads about aliens how interesting.

"It would be very dangerous for you to engage in sexual activity with those men, Rosabella, "he tells me.

"Why do you care about what I do?"

"Because I care about you more than you know, Rosabella," he tells me.

"My name is Rosie."

He raises an eyebrow at me and smirks. "Fine Rosie."

He is cute, vampire or not!

"Why are you here today, after being absent for so long, now demanding to know why I am doing what I am?" I yell louder than I attend.

"I know you didn't want to stay with us, that you were scared," he responded.

"Yeah, you basically told me I was sold off to a vampire Clan."

"You were."

"Then why didn't you guys raise me instead of having me go from foster home to foster home, abuse after abuse?"

"I wanted you to have a better childhood than being raised by the vampires. I am sorry Rosie, I should have not have made that choice," he tells me, reaching for my face and wiping away my tears.

"Why is it your choice?"

As soon as I ask the question, I see him walk outside the room. "Pay attention to my eyes," he tells me. He walks back in the room, staring in a different direction that I am facing. I see his eyes are a deep red. He looks at me, and they change into a golden brown.

"Why?"

"Every vampire has a mate, a weakness, or a softer side, and you are my mate," he whispers.

"I see." How do I easily let him down? I am with Josh.

I look down at my engagement ring. I feel so overwhelmed by this.

" Don't worry I know you love Josh', he says.

"How do you know that?"

"Because I have been silently watching over you for years", he remarks. I feel my mouth drop open.

You're a smart girl, Rosie, so I don't like the direction you're going in. Getting drunk and smoking. I'm not even going to mention what happened earlier." The man shakes his head in disbelief. "Please start making wiser choices," he says.

"Now you sound like Josh."

"Sometimes he's right. Sometimes he's wrong." he responds. I am happy Finn showed up tonight, he stopped me from making a horrible mistake. I don't know what I was thinking.

"What parts are he wrong?"

"My family would never treat you like you're unworthy. You are a special and unbelievable incredible person. You're beautiful inside and out. You deserve to have everyone treat you respectfully," he tells me with a smile.

That's honestly the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me.
